This store is clean, well stocked, and has a little bit of everything! The owners & employees are all wonderful people! We are always greeted with a smile & have quick service! The pizza they make there is delicious and the prices on fuel & merchandise is very reasonable! Love this small town convenience store!

Stopped for some of their tater tot hot dish bratwurst and was not disappointed. Grilled it up for New Year's and it was just perfect! As I had never stopped in before, the staff was very accommodating and showed me exactly where I needed to go for them. Will definitely be stopping by again in the near future for more brats at the very least. A+++

Love this spot! Convenient spot to grab a few necessities and treats. They have a very good variety of inventory. Plus, you gotta try the ice cream, it is soooo good!

Owner is an absolute jerk. Joel decided to tell one of the homeless advocates that is helping a homeless single mom of 3 that he “did not give a damn if she and her kids froze to death” and then proceeded to refuse to sell propane to her basically kicking her while she is down and then proceeded to call CPS trying to get her kids taken away.To be honest we miss Gene. Gene never would have treated anyone the way that Joel treats this young mom knowing that this young mom has been coming to horse creek since she was 6 years old. She’s now 32.Joel is going to end up losing a lot of business if he keeps treating people the way he does.

This is one of the most complete, well-run, well-managed country stores I have ever been to! It has everything! We had delicious sandwiches from the immaculately clean deli---fresh meat, cheese, bread and vegetables--plus really great, friendly, knowledgeable service from the employees.

I love Horse Creek store. They have an excellent deli counter that they make delicious sandwiches from. They also have ice cream and gifts. Good selection of alcohol, and grocery items. A great store!

We love this little place, they have premium non-oxy gas if you need it, and almost any grocery you really need. They carry local milk in glass jars! The ice cream shop is a super fun addition they added on recently and they carry some local gifts too. Worth a stop just to browse. Good craft beer selection and large liquor area with local wine and liquor also. We enjoy the sandwiches from the deli and occasionally a pizza, but they need to be cooked so plan ahead for that.

A family operated convenience store, delicatessen, and take & bake pizza place tucked into the Polk County countryside. Clean and bright, they'll make you a delicious pizza to order that you can take home and bake in your own oven. Good selection of local and imported wines, and the best selection of beer in Horse Creek. Surprising selection of kitchen essentials too .And yes, they have gas pumps out front (but don't let that deter you, this place is as neat and clean as can be.)

I just love this place! A gas station? Oh no! There is a deli, great pizzas, liquor, ice cream shop, gifts, food basics and probably other stuff that I haven't found yet.

Store is wonderful!! Neat, clean, lots to offer. Youth that were working - Suck!!! Girl in deli cutting meat was eating the scraps that fell off as she ran slicer for customers without changing gloves, or cleaning machine in between products. It was gross to watch. At check out, was not offered a bag for the five items purchased. We had to carry them out by hand. If I could unsee what I seen I would consider returning, but it's not happening, which is a shame since the store on its own was an exceptional gem to find.

Great customer service there! Oh, they sell Bridgeman's Licorice Ice cream and other flavors. I was so happy in freezing cold weather back then. Plus they have a deli. In the spring or summer they open up serving ice cream there. Nummy! 💜💜💜 Stop if you are in the area it's a very unique store.♥️ My daughter lives in the area.

This is such a great store! A mini grocery and sandwich shop with trailer rental. Prices are great. The new owner is very nice and is so receptive to the needs in this community. Thank you to the Horse Creek store and employees who are continuing to work hard through this crazy time.

Great gas station and convenience store. Simply the best around...can't say enough about how hard they work to keep the place clean and tidy. And they have some of the best cheese, beef sticks, jerkey, herring, etc. It's no wonder it has so many repeat customers...they strive to do their best with what they've got! Two thumbs up!🖒🖒

Horse Creek store is a HIDDEN GEM alongside County Road M in Star Prairie Wisconsin! I can't tell you how many times I have driven past this store / gas station and haven't stopped! It's on our way from our home in Somerset to our cabin in Danbury and I drive past it at least twice a week... Tonight was my first time and I will be back! So many awesome things in there , basic staples,frozen food, wine, beer, moonshine (YEP)& awesome homemade sandwiches... GOD'S COUNTRY FAVORITE ...CHEESE CURDS! Fun gifts( cool candles) for your home/ cabin! Old school candy and toys!The owner was their, he was kind and informative! Stop in and look around!

This is the perfect little country store. Deli meats and cheeses. A good selection of beer and wine. If by chance youre hungry, you have to try the sandwiches. I especially like their chipotle sauce.

Nice little store, huge variety of things. Clean bathroom. Not 1 employee or customer had a mask on so I didn't stick around. To bad, I tend to shop for souvenirs in cool stores like this.

Just went to the store at 6:20, they close at 7. Yet they decided to close so early because of the lazyness of the average worker there.

This is a great little store run by the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. They and the store are a fixture in Alden and a highlight for the residents and our visitors in this terrific farm and lake country town.
