They dont sell food, hence the 1 Star. However, they do allow you to bring outside food in.Great selection of ever changing craft brews, handful of beers on tap, and several more in cans/bottles.They allow you to sample the beers that are on tap.Great place in the summer.You can definitely tell that the place was an old service station due to the decor which is really cool. Great place to have a beer or 2.Staff is always friendly.

Really cool place! I am not a drinker so I cannot speak on behalf of the beer or drinking but I can on atmosphere. I came to hang with friends who are beer snobs who really enjoy Beer Shop. The ambiance is chill and fun. There was tall yard Jenga to play, picnic tables, and a fireplace area. Even better, a bar cat!

This is a really cool little bar that used to be a mechanic shop many years ago (looks like 50's/60's). The owners have kept much of it original, while at the same time transforming it into something clean and classy. This is one of the most unique bars in the area, and that includes La Crosse, not just Sparta. The mixed drinks are excellent and the servive was really good, too.

If your idea of good beer is Miller Lite, you are in luck! It's here. If you have more refined taste, and like microbrews you are in luck. It's here. If you like a comfortable place to relax and drink your beer, yes you are in luck. The beer shop is a really comfortable place with a lot of variety in beers mostly with an upper Midwest focus. It doesn't matter what you like to drink, there is no pretention. All beer drinkers welcome.

Nice customer service experience. Helpful at finding a nice beer I can enjoy. Small offers of free samples to know what I'm getting into before just purchasing an unknown beer I'd probably poor out. Music, atmosphere, fun interaction with others. They alow a tab so you can drink until your hearts content and leisure. Plenty of seats and nice aperal to choose from. Would recommend on a nice relaxing weekend.

Awesome establishment. The staff (and especially Bob) are outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable and enhance the experience of having a very good craft beer along with the community experience. I highly recommend and when I am out bicycle riding on the Sparta bike trail I recommend fellow riders to stop the Beer Shop.

The Beer Shop is one of the most unique places I’ve. They have a wild selection of different beers and many that you’ve never even heard of. The last time I was there I had a Skittle flavored beer and it was surprisingly good. The atmosphere is great and there are also plenty of old arcade games to play is you get a little bored.

Well ok we have been going here since they opened! So it's about time to do this.. Wife and i wanted so bad to be the first customers when they opened but they could not do that exactly, I don't remember why. But since then we stop in quite often and enjoy all the very cool surroundings, And of coarse the many different kind of beers. The company ain't bad either!!! Amazing establishment with a HUGE selection of amazing Midwest craft beers and locally sourced draft cocktails. Bring your takeout, order something for delivery, or grab a Landjäger and pretzel rod for sustenance. Awesome events, food trucks, and entertainment year round. Knowledgeable and kind staff. Literally knocked it out of the park, best establishment in Sparta. 10/10 definitely recommend!

I would give this place 4 stars if they had more domestic options. They had a lot of IPAs and brews but no "normal" choices but Miller light. I would bump it up to 5 stars if they had the fire going. Otherwise it was a nicely done remodel and it had cool concepts from when it was a mechanics shop. A small, down to earth bar with a nice bartender. We might try going back but I dont drink and my fiance wished they had more options. They do have a lot of local options that I'd never heard of before which is cool for people who like to try new things. My fiance likes his normal drinks.

Super preliminary and premature review, but this place seems great. The proprietor is a fine gentleman with an intriguing knowledge of both the technical details and the artful appreciation of beer. Plus he's a swell dude and has great tats.You can get a lot of great beer here that is very difficult to find outside of the upper Midwest.

The best beer spot in Sparta and possibly in most of Wisconsin. Not only This place has a great atmosphere but also have great staff. From Beau, Travis, Kelly, Bob and Ian these individuals do what they do best which is to provide a great experience. Great selection of beers from all over the North West you’ll certainly find something that trick your fancy.If you in Sparta or just passing by and would like to elevate your beer experience please look no further as you’ll love this place from the time you step in until the time you walk out!

Cool space with a wide selection of beer and some ciders. Fun and knowledgeable owners/bartenders make this a unique gem. Definitely worth stopping in no matter the time of year! Thanks for being open the evening of Christmas day- we had a blast!

My mom talked me into going after a very long day. Could not be happier that we did. The beer was great; the people were even better. Both the bartenders were beyond nice and offered fantastic service. Would have stayed longer if it was not last call. Highly recommend.
