Great place to stay. We have family in the area and have stayed multiple times. Cabins are small and not fancy but very clean and cozy. The owners are wonderful and super accommodating and friendly. Prices are great as well. If you are looking for a quiet quaint place to stay with affordable prices and friendly owners this is the place to stay.

Never stayed here. But Mrs. Swanson was my choir teacher 100 years ago so she gets a 5 star for putting up with me. Always wondered what it would be like to stay here though. They did tiny homes before they were cool.

My husband and I rented a cabin for three nights for our anniversary. We were supposed to stay Friday night through Sunday morning. Before we left our house we found out that my mom had jury duty and wouldn’t be able to watch the kids on Monday. When we got there we explained the situation to the owners and told them that we needed to cancel our Sunday night stay. The owners were understanding and didn’t charge us for the cancellation.These cabins are very affordable and clean. We were supposed to have a cabin with a full kitchen, but when we arrived we were given a cabin without a kitchen. It didn’t really matter since it was just my husband and I. We stayed in cabin 3 which was a cozy little cabin. The cabin consisted of two rooms. The main room had two double beds, a table with two chairs, microwave, small coffee pot, and a mini fridge. There was also a small bathroom.The beds weren’t firm. We rolled into the center of the bed when we both laid in the bed. The sheets smelled like they were freshly laundered and the pillows were fluffy. My only complaint is that there were limited outlets and none that were accessible around the bed.If you want to watch television they do have antenna tv available. The reception is clearer at night than it is during the day. They do have wifi but you have to be closer to the office in order to use it. You can unplug in this place.There is a train track right across the street, but the sounds of a train do not bother me. There was a train track that ran behind my old house. You get used to the rumble of a train going by. It’s easy for most people to sleep even though there is a train passing by.This is a place I would stay at again.

This is our second summer staying at Swanson’s Motel and Campgrounds. We love the cabins and the grounds. The cleanliness of the cabins we have stayed in is top notch and I am a picky one about how clean a place is. Our cabins have been spotless. The owners, Kristin and Ben are responsive and professional. This is a true Northwoods experience with dedicated owners who want to make sure you have a good time. Love this place.

Very relaxing atmosphere and feel! Prices are reasonable, cabins are cute & very clean, and the owners are such kind people. Defintely plan on visiting again during the summer months, and highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a dog & kid friendly motel.

We stayed at Swansons Motel in Mid-September in one of the 2 bedroom cabins with a full kitchen. The cabin was very clean and comfortable after our long days enjoying the Northwoods. There was ample space to hang things up inside and outside under the covered porch to dry out our gear. It was very quite sleeping, except the trains that frequently went by throughout the night. The only thing that was odd was the tv in our cabin would lose channels, one in particular was 6.1 that is a local news channel. We would re-scan for this channel, but I believe we only had it a couple times. The wireless internet was very satisfactory as well. The location make easy access to HWY-53. In town there was a small grocery store, Dollar General, and a hardware mercantile store. The Village Pump just down the road had great food as well. The staff was extremely friendly and very welcoming. We will definitely be staying here again.

First night staying here. Will revise my review if needed but doubtful. In the area working on the railroad and everything was booked so I seen this place on the web. Wow for the price and cleanliness this is a knockout. Plus it is fairly secluded and quiet although I seen one review that mentioned the trains. I am use to that lol. I will stay here every time I am in the area. Sorry Matt lol

We live in Solon Springs. My family stayed there this week and has for many Summers now. Neat, clean and relaxing atmosphere!! Keep up the good business!! To bad that the pool wasn't available to them though.😒

i just cant help but rave about this place! i love it because you just cant go wrong. the owners are soooo nice and the place just feels like your at home. they treat you like family. there are no fire pits but there their cabins are very clean nicly kept.
