We have stayed at this lodge several times and every time it’s great! The rooms are super clean and the breakfast alone is worth staying for. The food is really fresh and tastes so good. The staff went out of their way to make sure my daughter who has allergies had options of stuff she could eat, including labeling which items had nuts. The entire staff is friendly and makes you feel like family. The hotel is also very quiet. They have an gazebo outside that faces the lake. So you get that nice lake breeze! The only additional perk I can think of is to upgrade the tvs to a smart one, but that would just be a bonus! 😉 5/5 for me!!!!

Great location and staff above professional standard. Our stay lasted 4 days and had the room with whirlpool and gas fireplace. After a day or so, a problem verified that brought a weird smell in the room: something had happened to the waste water tubing or something. Those things can happen to anyone, but the way people deal with things makes the difference.The staff swapped our room instantly despite the low availability. We received apologies from all over the place for what happened, however it was clear that was something out of their control and not their fault. We definitely felt cared about and supported.Both rooms we stayed in were spotless and fresh.In the morning you can opt for few nordic style breakfast always fresh and satisfying. Coffe and tea are available at any time until 8 PM.A lovely outdoor patio is available for guests use right in front of the lake and the place is quiet at night.

We stayed at Liberty Lodge for our first trip to Door County. It has an antique, old-world, sophisticated feel with modern amenities. We got a room with a whirlpool bath, seperate shower, and gas fireplace that was super easy to use. We absolutely loved it!! Especially after booking with Landing Resort for our second Door County trip...that place is in DESPERATE need of of a reno and it just highlights how absolutely homey, yet classy, Liberty Lodge feels in comparison!

First time in Door County and Liberty Lodge. My husband and I stayed in the Liberty Suite. It was very nice and clean! The bed was comfortable and the room had great touches (gas fireplace, whirlpool tub, mini fridge etc.). We did not have breakfast during our stay but it's great that it's included in the price!It's not within walking distance to restaurants or shops, which is the only thing that would have made this a 5 star review for me. Overall, we had a great stay and I would recommend to others!

We were very disappointed with our stay this last time. The room was dusty and sheets so wrinkled it looked like someone had slept in it. On our third night we found a pair of underwear between the nightstand and bed. So Gross. We feel we should of been compasated more then chocolate. Everyday the bed was made horrible. We stayed 5 nights. Will not stay again and will tell our friends not to.

Our stay was wonderful, the room was neat clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff was fabulous !! Big shout out to Pat & Jill. Loved the simple breakfast included with our stay. It was just enough food to satisfy without overeating.We will be back

I would have to give the place 5 stars. We were very impressed and loved the romantic feel to the place. The staff was courteous, friendly and professional. We had rooms with a view of the bay. And we sat outside on the porch and watched the sun set. We will certainly come back and stay.

My wife and I stayed in the Johnny Cash room. The place was very well maintained, great bedding, jet tub, fireplace. Lake view from the window. Huge deck. Very nice place to come and go as you please. Even with Covid going on, everything was wonderful. Would highly suggest.

Pretty setting with view of the lake. Grand porch rooms have nice sitting area right outside the door. Staff could not be nicer! Breakfast includes a sampling of cheese and delicious Nueske's ham and liver pate...YUM!

Came thru Sister Bay just sight seeing after beento Green Bay and Sturgeon Bay and staying there for a few days. Called here to the Lodge to see if there were vacancys. Sure enough there were last of the Spring ratings talked with Tina from Sturgeon Bay. She was very Cordial fixed us right up. Great room on main floor facing the Sunset and lake. Sat on porch had ice cream from the shop up the road. Nice work area inside.Great European breakfast great meats,breads, rolls ,muffins fresh fruit cereals & yogurts.The meats were from the Nuesks meat market

Wonderful place to stay. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable and rooms are very appropriate for an historical lodge. The view of Green Bay and sunsets is excellent!

Room with king bed was great. Close enough to sister bay but far enough to be away from all the tourists. It wasn't ever an issue to bop down to the room if we forgot something. Never more than a 15 min drive from anything worth doing. Only a miniscule draw-back that there are so many mosquitos every time you open your room door at night no matter how hard we would try we would alway let some in. I would still book here again!

My friends visiting from Colorado, stayed here for two nights in June. Their room was spacious and obviously, recently remodeled. The hotel common areas were comfortable and clean. They have some interesting displays that show the now deceased owners LOVE of Jonny Cash. Bob Neuschke, unfortunately died shortly after retiring from the family business (smoked meats). He and his wife moved to Sister Bay and shortly after, bought and refurbished this wonderful and historic Lodge in Sister Bay's northern end. I'm told, by the desk clerk, they have a Johnny Cash themed suit. She further stated that Bob was a founder and contributor to Cash's Hall of Fame in Tennessee. There is an omage to the family business on their continental breakfast buffet (Nueskes smoke bacon).

This place is amazing and our room was very nice. The view was OK and it's fairly close to things to do in Sister Bay although if you're going to walk be prepared to walk about a mile and a half one way.

Well nobody was at desk when we checked out saturday morning abotu 745 am. No rolls,coffee, juice available.I wanted to stay an extra night besides the 3 and we asked for a lower rate because we didnt have any housekeeping done, just done. they wouldnt work with us.Its a beautiful and quiet place and I liked it,just thought it was strange nobody was at desk saturday morning.
