Just a great space overall for the family. It's location is perfect with a walkable distance to Sister Bay downtown, just enough to work off a nice dinner and a couple of drinks. The room was large and we had more than enough from with our little guy. People were wonderful and coffee was nice and fresh in the morning. If you're looking for a nice space to call home for a few days, you found it. Cheers.

We came to spend a week in Door county. This place was perfect. The gardens are beautiful, Saw deer strolling through. The rooms were spotless. The beds were comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast in a cozy dining room. Or a short drive to a local restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay and would really recommend it. Thank you for the hospitality.Nearby activities: You're a short drive to Sister bay

Great location, just outside the main downtown of Sister Bay. Within walking distance to Pirate's Cove and Piggly Wiggly. Clean rooms, and very friendly staff. Very quiet overnight, even on the ground floor. We had a little bit of mix-up with our reservation (their booking system and the system that assigns rooms apparently do not speak to each other), which admittedly was frustrating at first, but the front desk staff were able to sort something out for us and everything worked out.Nice little breakfast area with outdoor seating. Beautiful gardens across the entire property. Will definitely be back!

Just got home from our vacation and we stayed 4 nights. Our room was ground level. Was disappointed in our room. It smelled musty. Carpeting was dirty. Air conditioner was so noisy we had to turn it off at night. Found ear wig bugs in bathroom each day. We didn’t say anything because it was full and I’m sure there were no other rooms available. Maybe the room we stayed in has not been renovated yet. I don’t know. The front desk staff was friendly tho.

Great value! Excellent location for Door County activities! Would definitely stay here again. After reading the reviews here, we had not very high expectations for our stay but we were very pleasantly surprised to find how nice it is!Our room was on the second floor on the end of the building nearest the road. This was nice because we had no one above us or on one side; the traffic noise was not a problem either.Be aware there are no elevators. If you have problems with stairs you should consider requesting a ground floor room. The room is a nice size. Two queen beds fit easily with a table and two chairs, desk and more. Each room has a microwave and fridge (with small freezer). The sink in our room was outside the bathroom. Shower was hot and had plenty of pressure. Tall toilet is a great update! The decor is nothing fancy but I didn’t think it was dated (as many people mentioned in other reviews). Maybe our room has been updated recently? The beds were comfortable. We both slept really well which we often don’t in hotels. The linens, pillows, comforter, etc were nice and new. The three pillows on each bed were firm and puffy. Comforters were light and warm.We enjoyed having our windows open and utilizing the ceiling fan in our room. There is an AC unit (and heater I presume) though we didn’t use either of these items. The grounds have many flowers and lovely perennials. The flower beds might be a little overgrown but I like the cottage look vibe. Parking is clearly marked and there seem to be enough spots. The breakfast is basic continental. Coffee. Donuts. Cereal. Fruit. Yogurt. Bread and a toaster. Peanut butter. Boiled eggs. Juice. It was adequate. Nothing fancy. Something to get your day started. It’s free. 8 to 10 am.Seating indoors or outdoors on the patio. There is a hot tub in a gazebo. Towels were provided but we got the last 2 the night we used it so I don’t know what the next people got. The tub was clean and not very hot. The down side was the jets were not working at all well. It was like a dying marine animal trying to get air. Some sporadic bubbles but not very energetic at all.Office staff people were friendly and pleasant. Helpful. No issues.Housekeeping will only clean your room on request so be aware of that if staying more than one night. The Piggly Wiggly grocery store is quite close. The “main drag” of Sister Bag is also nearby, less than a mile. It’s easy access to the highway but also quite secluded and cozy. There are gas and charcoal grills for guests to use as well as picnic tables. I saw numerous loungers and comfortable places to sit in sun or shade. Ice is available and there is a vending machine for Dr. Pepper/7Up type drinks. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you!Nearby activities: Sister Bay locations

This place is a rip off! We ended up getting a different place down the road. It was only $10 more a night than this place and was a huge difference. This place was very dirty and not clean at all. Everything was very outdated, which for me isn't a big deal but at least clean stuff. The mattress had human indents just showing how long the mattress has been used without being replaced. The bed looked like it was about to collapse. There was stains on our bedsheets and pillow cases. The microwave had dust caked on top and the cups for the coffee maker had dust on them. A little dusting and wiping off the finger prints on things from the last people that stayed there goes a long ways. It felt like all the maid service did to the room after someone else stayed there was make the bed and not even clean and change the sheets. We will not be back. If your looking for something nice that won't break the bank try the Open Hearth Lodge down the road.

I stayed here four nights as part of a bicycle tour, and couldn’t be happier with my experience. This property is not fancy, but they have everything you need. It sits just off the main road, and once you turn into the drive, you feel like you’re in a forested garden. Lots of trees, shade, and plants. You’re close enough to the downtown area without being inconvenienced by all the traffic. My room was comfortable and quiet and my interactions with staff were pleasant. Id definitely stay here again!

I’ve been truly impressed by the experience we’ve had at this hotel. We chose it for the price mostly because we planned to stay busy while here—and honestly, they undersell themselves online. The facility is a bit dated so if that’s a sticking point for you, it won’t fit. For me, it’s about welcoming atmosphere and quality each day. You’ll find that here. We were excited to find out they have a beautiful hot tub setup and serve breakfast each day. We were more excited to discover their staff is the most helpful we’ve ever had at a tourist location. Not only do they give helpful advice but they even provide breakdowns of the restaurant schedule for that week. We had issues with our TV and the staff member came to the room to help us at nearly 10pm. I’ve loved small town charm since I grew up in one and you won’t find it lacking here.

Not sure how to rate this. Andrew at the front desk was very accommodating and professional/nice. Room are eh, but kind of expected with the price. They were clean, just out of date, rough feeling sheets…etc. we had a loud disturbance in the room next to our original one, we were upgraded to a room that smelt like someone just finished smoking in. Then upgraded to a different room which was still okay. At this point we wanted to just leave but had already paid and Andrew went out of his way to accommodate the issues we experienced. Thin walls, people above us sounded like they were going to fall through the ceiling (just walked around).

We were forced to stay somewhere new on our yearly rendezvous to Door County this year as our usual cottage has been converted to a year by year lease. After a bit of searching The Coachlite Inn looked appealing enough & the price was better then a lot of other Door County places. We really liked the location as soon as we drove our bikes in the driveway. Set back from the road & nestled amongst trees & beautiful plants & flowers was awesome. Not on the lake or even a view but still very pleasing area. Staff has been pleasant, friendly & very helpful. Rooms are very clean, beds are comfy, good quality. Continental breakfast available but with so many great restaurants near by we were always eating elsewhere. Good for grabbing a cup of coffee & fruit. Nice secluded hot tub in a large gazebo, unfortunately we did not have time to use it but looks inviting. The owner was kind enough to provide us with towels to dry off our bikes after a bit of rain on the morning we left. We will book this again for our Door County vacation.

Coachlite Inn was so quaint and comfy! The hot tub under the gazebo was perfect! The staff was very friendly. They had a really nice breakfast, which was a wonderful added bonus. The room is tight, especially with the two beds, but it was comfy! It had a small fridge and microwave. It was clean and well stocked. Overall, We had a great experience and although it is dated, it was still a great stay. Cannot bet the location- walking distance to downtown Sister Bay.

An absolutely adorable gem! This little place is so cute! Tucked away off of the main road the Inn is surrounded by beautiful flower gardens. The rooms are decorated in old fashioned decor which lends to the charm. Each room is equipped with all the conveniences necessary for your stay. Some rooms are much larger than others. Mine was rather cramped, but I wasn't there but to sleep. The family who own and runs the Inn is very kind and sweet. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return if in the area!

The location, staff, amenities, and rooms were fantastic."2 star" as the website we booked through seemed to indicate couldnt be further from the truth. This place was fantastic and we were treated very well, especially for the price point. There is a beautiful hot tub and large bonfire and cookout area available for guests. Although we only stayed here because it was nearby and our tent got caught in a thunderstorm, we certainly hit the jackpot and plan on staying here if we ever return to the area.

Older motel. We stayed in the “pond suite”. Basically a studio apartment in the exposed basement of the owners home. It was clean and spacious. Private parking and nice separate entrance. Furniture out of the 70’s but practical. Grounds were once a showplace but now somewhat overgrown. I would have gave them 4 stars if the mattress was new. Not a bad choice if you want a kitchen and plenty of room for a longer stay.

My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights here at the beginning of August. It's a good value for the area, but there were some problems. The room didn't feel very clean, and it had a musty smell. They had a dehumidifier that helped, but the room still never felt fresh. The bedding was fine, and the shower was nice. Whenever you opened the front door, the water heater closet door would pop open and slam back shut... loudly. A simple latch may alleviate the problem. The room had a mini-fridge and a microwave which were very convenient. The breakfast was very limited - it included pastries, a small variety of whole fruit, cold cereal, coffee, milk, and juice. Fresher fruit, yogurt in a mini-fridge, and oatmeal could be nice and simple additions. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. The landscaping was beautiful, there was plenty of parking, and the location is great. We weren't in our room much, and we didn't feel we had an overly negative or overly positive experience. It was certainly fine for our weekend, but we would probably look elsewhere for future trips to Door County.

This place has beautiful surroundings with lots of fresh flowers, bird houses. Very cool. You can even go in the hot tub or grill your own food outside. They have a picnic table to eat at outside. They also have a small fire pit outside you can use . The rooms are small but clean and nice. It's very peaceful. The prices for each nite stay is really good. The people who run the place are very kind & generous. Anything you need just let them know at the office building. Definitely want to come back here again. 👍👍🤗🤗👌👌😎😎😀😀🌲🌲🌲

This is the best hotel/motel I’ve ever been too. There were so many amenities that made it charming. A hot tub in a huge gazebo outside lit up with lights. A giant fire pit and gas grills for you to use. The rooms were comfortable and clean. This place was amazing and we loved that it is family owned. We will defiantly be coming back! If you like yourself then you will stay here. You won’t regret it.

First time staying here and really happy we found this place. It's one of the few places that allow just a one night stay which is perfect because my husband is a truck driver and we could only afford to take off forv2 days and 1 night. Cute little place with fantastic staff that are super helpful with anything you need. Will definitely be back when we can! Room is nice and the shower was great!

Nice but average stay in Sister Bay. Hot tub was shooting in cold water through one of the spouts which we informed the staff of. Nothing was repaired by the time we left. This was a huge bummer as we had specifically picked this place because it had a hot tub. Unfortunately it was just a warm tub. It's pretty cool in Door Co in the early fall! There are only very young looking kids seemingly working there. We didn't see an adult our entire stay. Late teens MAYBE early twenties. A little odd but the kids were nice. Not really professional but nice. Room was satisfactory & the grounds are lovely. Quiet.

Very unsatisfactory I made reservations for our 40th wedding anniversary at the pond suite. The moment I walked in the suite it smelled like mildew, mold, and musty. Carpet was stained and dirty, tile grout in kitchen and bathroom missing, mold growing in bathroom, kitchen did not have adequate cooking pans for us to make meals, blood and stains on bedding, cobwebs on walls, blinds on windows broken. When I checked in I was not informed I had to get fresh towels by leaving used towels outside the door. Had to contact desk and get towels at front desk. I spent too much money for a suite that was beautiful 12 years ago. Will never stay there again. Never received a call from manager to review our stay at the pond suite when he said he would contact us. Very disappointed ☹️ Since I had to give a star rating I rated them with one Star but in reality I would not rate them with any star.

Stayed 1 night. Was very clean but definitely needs updating. Carpet, bedspread and futon were very worn. Blanket for the futon had 2 holes in it. TV/cable did not work well at all. No creamer for our coffee. Coffee cups stashed behind the coffee pot. The staff was very friendly. Ok for the price.

Good location for a great price close to all the sights and activities to enjoy in Sister Bay! While the rooms are a little dated, they are well kept and clean. Our room had a large, clean bathroom. Continental breakfast was simple but good, with coffee, tea, donuts, fruit, and cereal available. There is also an outdoor hot tub for guests to use.

We stayed in the Private Pond suite. Tammy at the front desk was so helpful and welcoming from the first call to inquire about rooms through our last night. The room was clean and cozy. Could hear the movement from the upstairs Guests a little bit to be expected! Would for sure go back, the outdoor hot tub and the in room whirlpool were our favorite parts!
