We had a wonderful time here. The staff was very organized, they gave us a list of nearby restaurants and venues with times they open/ close. The room was very clean and set up with everything needed like coffee and utensils. Everything worked and maintained well. And was super close to the main strip by the bay! We will be coming back!

Cons- The rooms could use a deep cleaning including carpets and the upholstery on the furniture. Some things felt grimy. There was same debris in the hallway the whole weekend but that was never cleaned up.Pros- The location is really good, huge balcony, quiet at night.Nearby activities: Waking distance to husbys and sister bay bowl.

Just went here this year, great experience with staff, the pool/hot tub (indoor and outdoor) not too many people around in the hotel, and walking distance from Sister Bay. The rooms were super modern and for the price I'd say it's affordable along with free parking, which was super convenient since I went with some of my family. Stayed there for 3 nights. Lovely rooms, with a small kitchen with a microwave, oven, seating and cabinets with pre-washed dishes like cups, bowls, and plates. The location was perfect, so I didn't need to spend lots of money on restaurants. 10/10 would very much recommend.Nearby activities: Tons of restaurants, shops, and lake Michigan all in a walk of 10 minutes.

I don’t like to write negative reviews and mind you I have stayed here 2 other times and it was great but Room 205 the carpet is disgusting, room smelled of cigar smoke and the TV never worked since it was the 4th weekend we stayed but honestly may never again. These are condos people own, they need to replace this carpeting, and it’s filthy! Bedspread old I am not expecting high end hotel but clean is a must have this was not! Great location, but also when you call to have a room close to the lobby because your handicap this is room is not close… if there was a fire… I would be dead! I have stayed in rooms 213, 109 both great clean rooms! Staff always nice

Loved it! Super friendly staff, the place is sooooo cute, literally every room's entrance has a framed door with a fake roof over it which was really charming. The room was great, fireplace, kitchenette w/ microwave, fridge, sink, dishes/silverware, everything I needed. Yes, the carpet has a few stains, but they're brave enough to have light-colored carpet in a lodge. You're just seeing what all hotels have but other places have maroon/brown carpet.You could tell someone had put effort/thought into the room - it was like someone had thought, "What would a person want if they were going to live here?" and then put that in the room.The staff was very helpful, and it genuinely seemed like they cared that I had a nice stay. They are not on site 24/7, but if you've ever lived in an apartment before, you know the drill - your key gets you in the locked exterior door; not a problem. (I saw some reviews complaining about this. If you want 24/7 staff, go to Holiday Inn and be treated like a dollar sign.)Can't wait to book my next stay!

5 star shoutout to the people operating the Scandinavian Lodge. My family of 4 loved our trip there in July. We've stayed at a handful of spots around the area, but these guys went above and beyond. I lost my wallet at some point on the trip, and thought it would most likely be in the room. I told the front desk folks about it and gave them my # and address, thinking the wallet was lost forever. A month and a half later, what shows up in the mail? THE WALLET, MAN. These people are angels with wonderful Scandinavian souls, and I can't thank them enough for doing that. Now I have a wallet with an airtag on it, but that's a different story. Anyways go to Door Co and stay here. Enjoy one of their 2 pools. Quiet, comfortable rooms, So on and so forth.

So I can't give the room a full five star review simply because the bed...is wretched. It isn't a resort bed. It is a springy uncomfortable bed that made it challenging to sleep every time my partner who is tall, moved. The fire place is great. Room was clean. Staff is exceptional as always, and the pool was really nice. I got to Door County specifically in the off season for the quiet and slowed down life pace. The locals are wonderful and if you get a chance stop by and see Brandy at the Tannenbaum store. She's lovely.

We decided to stay here on a whim, and just taking a chance and being somewhere near and dear to the heart of Door County and all of our travels. Scandinavian Lodge did deliver oh, it became its own little romantic getaway with the suite we had, fireplace and a hot tub and a little patio.Hard to leave the room with all the comfortable amenities oh, but it was still a conveniently close to all the viewings that is Door County.Can't wait to visit again!

The location was centrally located for our family member's weekend getaway! The place was very spacious and clean. Nice pool, and hot tub area! The price was very affordable for a 3-bedroom suite.Nearby activities: Located in the heart of Sister Bay! It's close to several key local venues. Easy walking distance to several bars, clothing stores/boutiques, and bowling alley! Good views of the water/ice from the harbor!

We stayed here while in town for a running event in May and had a wonderful time. There were several families, and it was so fun hanging out together with all the amenities the hotel has to offer. The kids had a blast! The kitchens in the 2 bedroom suites are actually fully furnished- it was so easy to make large meals and enjoy time together. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

This great Country has a vast amount of beautiful places to see and stay, as I have traveled to many of those, but I have never been moved to post my experiences.Traveling with the love of my life to get away from the trappings, we arrived greeted by a smiling, warm desk attendant.The room was spacious, clean, with appointments that rivaled home. A large bed, with clean comfortable bedding.T.v. fireplace, whirlpool tub, microwave, coffee pot, mini-fridge etc.Both pools were clean and inviting, the hot tub was large and comfortable.Housekeeping was engaging and smiling (not contorted or forced) and ready to assist.The Lodge is within walking distance to all the attractions of Sisters Bay, a nice free town shuttle bus that runs from the Lodge frequently.The Lodge has many additional amenities we did not utilize.I will brag of our stay to everyone that will listen!Looking forward to our return, Thanks to all the Staff.

My boyfriend booked this room back in July for our vacation just this past week. It has been on of the best places I stayed at in my life. You guys where so kind and sweet. We stayed 2 nights if we could we would of stayed more. However we forgot to keep the coupon for our next booking. We will be back next year in late September early October. Can’t wait to stay again.

We enjoyed the inside and outside pool option. And it was very nice to have a two bedroom option. The only downside was a very rude receptionist upon check in. We were told that there would be a crib provided— and actual crib. And upon checking in we discovered it was just a pack n play with no mattress. When this was addressed with the receptionist she was less than kind and caring and scolded my husband and I for using a “third party”. We were shocked she would speak to us in such a manner. Thankfully, the manager went above and beyond the next day and provided amazing customer service and found us an actual crib!

We have stayed at the Scandinavian Lodge for the last 3 years. This year we stayed in room 223 between the days of 7 and 14 Oct. 2022. The carpet was dingy and old, the furniture was scraped and unappealing. The lights had bulbs that were either out or too small to actually read by. The house keeping is pretty non extant. You gather and set out your trash and recyclables, and leave notes for towels or other supplies.The main building entrance doors are extremely heavy (and have been for the 3 years we have been going there) and the floors and thresholds so uneven it takes two people to enter the building especially with your luggage carts. One to hold the heavy doors one to lift the front of the cart over the threshold. Considering what your paying to stay there at least the doors could be updated and carpets and furniture clean.We probably will not be going back again.

There was no dresser in our room, we had a pantry closet. There was no kitchen towels, I needed to request. There was dirt on our floor like it wasn’t vacuumed. I took a bath in our hot tub and the on/off button proceeded to release into the water as it was broken. The outside pool was disgusting as there was algae all along the inside of the pool (so close it) when I mentioned our problems the front desk lady simply said next year will be better! What! We’ll get this after coming here for 10 years we WILL NOT BE BACK

Really nice place! Our room was great. The only things we didn't like were the showers (the shower heads didn't distribute water very well and one had very low water pressure) and the provided cookware (in very poor condition, didn't cook well).The wifi was also really terrible, which made it almost impossible to watch any sort of videos without using up data.We really liked the large deck and comfortable mattresses. There was also a good amount of space in the two-bedroom unit for 5 people to be comfortable.Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Went over Valentine's Day weekend with another couple. The double bedroom suite we ordered was bigger than we expected and very clean. A big selling point for us was the sauna/hot tub, and the large kitchen and dining room. Everything was only a few minute drive away.The staff were friendly, and even provided us a list of the restaurants open in the off season and a short description. This proved invaluable as much of Door County shuts down in the winter.

Coolest hotel ive stayed in. Room was huge, bakcony is private. Jacuzzi in the room was romantic. No vending machines so bring snacks. The room had a full kitchen though. Guest book to sign in the room. Friendly staff and a great location made this a seriously awesome stay. Wish we could go back sooner.

Have stayed here a couple times. They are decent accomodations, but not as good as the previous visit. Maybe some issues are due to the pandemic and labor shortages, not sure. The building is starting to show its age. This is not intended to be critical but just my observations and opinion on things I saw while staying at the Scandinavian Lodge. I'm sure the owners and workers are doing the best they came despite current circumstances. Some of the issues we noticed during our stay, if fixed would have made it at least a 4 or if not a 5 star rating.1. Elevator wasn't working when we arrived instead of just giving us to a unit on the main level they asked if we were ok carrying our luggage downstairs, which we were fine with. Looking back we probably should have requested being moved, it was kind of a hassle and seeing that it wasn't very crowded, they had plenty units available.2. Some of the luggage carts need attention, had flat tires. The front door thresholds are very inconvenient for pushing luggage carts through.3. Driveway was very icy making it slippery to walk to the car. The cold weather and blowing snow didn't help but they could put some sand and salt down for better traction. Hopefully nobody falls and gets seriously hurt.4. Housekeeping or maintenance should check rooms for any issues, especially during the slower times of the year. Here are some things I noticed with the unit which for the most part, could be easily fixeda) The outside door needs new or better weatherstripping, cold air leaks in constantly, making it hard to keep room at a steady temperature. Maybe there's nothing that can be done with the door. It was super hot under the pillows on the bed as the register is right under the headboard and chilly in the rest of the room. Although the bathroom did have its own thermostat which was nice and could keep it warm.b) Light above table was either burnt out or not working.c) Bathroom sink needed to be unclogged, it drained very slowly.d) Tile on whirlpool tub coming loose with sharp edges popping up.e) It would be nice if the fireplace had a blower motor to push the hot air out, this would help keep the room warmer.To wrap things up- I realize we could have requested a different unit instead of hauling our luggage downstairs, that's our fault. Although, a more customer friendly host should have never told us our room was downstairs and just put us on the main level, especially since they seemed to have plenty rooms available.We also could have asked them fix some of the things in our unit while we were staying there. It's more of a inconvenience for me to have someone come in our room during our vacation to fix things. These things can be easily checked by housekeeping and fixed between stays without disrupting someone's vacation. Forward thinking and having checklists/procedures for regular maintenance would make for better upkeep and more satisfied customers. Hopefully some of these things can be fixed for next person who stays in the unit we had.

The 2 bedroom condo rooms have a full kitchen and the lodge itself is just off the main strip of Sister Bay.Everything was super clean and the staff was friendly and super helpful in suggesting shops and restaurants that were open (we stayed there in the off season).Highly recommend them!

Very nice room, comfortable bed. The hot tub and pool were perfect temperatures and the woman at the front desk was always very nice. I'm not sure what the smell is in the hallways but once you're in the room it doesnt smell. Would recommend. Great location.
