We went here since Chop, their sister location was closed. We ordered from the Chop menu selection.First off, I do want to say that the wait staff is fantastic. Our server was incredibly kind, endearing, and continually checked in on us with a smile beaming from ear to ear.For the food portion of our evening, we ordered the bread basket, which ended up being one of our best selections of the entire night. It was crispy on the outside and very soft and warm on the inside. We ordered the 16 oz ribeye and opted for the Chop salad to go with it. The salad was very good. Nothing life changing, but still was a very good salad. Now, when it came to the steak... I'll be honest... it was a total letdown. I had looked forward to this steak our entire trip and was sadly disappointed. It was improperly cooked. The fat on the steak was hard and chewy. We actually ended up having to discard at least 1/3 of the entire steak because it was completely inedible. It got to be so much grizzle that we didn't even finish it. I was so hopeful but this steak truly missed the mark. At $55 my expectations are much higher.

We went here for dinner on a Sunday night after reading really good things online. It did not disappoint, with small areas for improvement. In short, I would highly recommend and advise not to miss out on the crabcakes! For a more detailed review:The food overall was delicious. Some of the best crabcakes I’ve ever had. The seafood, linguine and soy ginger glazed halibut were outstanding. Lobster bisque was the least flavorful, but only in comparison to the other food, so it was still very good. We were excited to try the guava cake as it was something different, but it was very dry and not great. It’s the only thing I can’t recommend. We did try the ice wine and it was delicious. Cocktails were tasty.Atmosphere was nice as it was not overly crowded. Service was very good, but could’ve been more attentive for being an upscale place.Areas for improvement:-presentation on the main courses could have been much improved. The appetizers looked much better.-offer free bread & more seafood in the dishes as everything is already pricey for the area. (We had to order bread as a starter on a $200+ bill for 2 people.) The sea food was delicious, but there was a limited quantity in each of the plates we ordered.-have service pay attention to the little things like refilling water without being asked.-improve or remove the guava cake-Give a full lobster tail not just a half on the seafood pasta for $13 charged

We thought the food was excellent. Went for my birthday dinner and loved every part of it. From drinks, apps (seriously how do you make that cornbread) to the dessert. Good stuff!I got the halibut and it was so delicious. My husband got a steak and he loved it.

We were seated on the porch which we loved. We chose the early three-course dinner and were very pleased. I started with the Calamari, which was excellent, and my husband had the Caesar salad which he enjoyed. My husband savored the salmon and I got the crab cakes. I thought these cakes were the closest to those in Baltimore for which I'm always searching to find. My husband ended with Cherry pie and my dessert was a key lime pie. It was more like a key lime cheesecake which made it extra yummy. I had a jaloma as my cocktail and if you like tequila, I'd highly recommend. This place is pricier but I found the meal and experience deserving.

Good atmosphere. The service was great and food was good. For appetizers we order Mussels and fritters, and the crab nachos. Mussels were fantastic. My husband order the Seafood pan roast and it was AMAZING! I order the Crab Crusted Halibut and it was good but rich.

The food was pretty good, but for the price you pay, the portions could be a bit larger. For example, maybe 3 crab cakes instead of 2, since they were pretty small. The upcharge percent of service that they tack on is also a little ridiculous. We also got a slice of the flourless cake and for $10, it was basically a mini slice that probably should've been more like $5-6. I am usually not one to complain about pricing because my husband and I love trying new places, regardless of price, but the prices here versus quantity of food with the extra percentage of service tacked on didn't seem worth coming here.I will say, the lobster tails were pretty big and very good, and our waiter was very nice and provided excellent wait service.

Fantastic every time! The Halibut & crab crusted halibut is outstanding. Crab nachos are soooo good! Great service and ambiance. We love this place! Update: we come back every year on our annual DC trip. Still our favorite place!! My son had the pork katsu last night..deelish! The calamari is the best we've had, love the fried jalapeños mixed in!

We had a wonderful experience at dinner here. Came for our son’s 18’th birthday. He loved it!!! We had a lovely server, Jenny, who was very welcoming and kind. We have a large group, 10. And they accommodated us beautifully. The food was excellent. Most got steaks and seafood. I eat plant based- so my options were limited of course. I had a salad (which was very nice) and the veggie roll. My only critique is to add a fun plant based option. And maybe a vegan dessert? ♥️ But all in all, it was a wonderful night!!

Star ratings. 1 bad. 2 below average. 3 average / neutral. 4 good. 5 excellent. One of the few places that has ever asked how I wanted my scallops cooked. I was super excited as that meant they had a good chef. Food was great as was the service. Cooked oysters were good. Went in end of October so didn't need to make reservations way ahead of time but I would still suggest regardless of what season.Edit. I've been here multiple times over the years figured I'd give it an update. Still a 4. Consistent food, service and pricing.Kid-friendliness: Standard kids menu. Chicken fingers, shrimp, mac.

Came to celebrate our anniversary and decided we would check out this place because of most of the positive reviews, but were extremely underwhelmed by the service, experience, and taste. The NY Strip was left completely unseasoned and the small amount of melted garlic butter placed on top did nothing to enhance the flavor. The Seafood pasta was okay, but nothing to rave about. Definitely not worth the amount of money they charge for it. The server was friendly but overall not very attentive and seemed disinterested. They also had a 4% service charge which was separate from any sort of tax or gratuity. Overall, the pricing does not appropriately fit the quality of the food

One of the few places I have rated 5 stars here in DC. Service was great and not overbearing. Everything we ate was awesome -- the cheddar biscuits were underwhelming...but still good...expectations ruined everything. My side blt salad came out promptly after and was large. I initially didnt like the presentation because I had to rip the bacon to distribute it....as I ate it I amcame to appreciate the flavor The balance of flavor was nice. The crabcakes came out shortly after and the flavor was good but the texture was interesting. Entrees arrived shortly after and we both loved our food. I got the salmon...green beans were the veg of the day... they were phenom. She let me try some of her pasta... the flavors were awesome. I'd recommend this place 10/10.

The food was good and pricey. We had calamari as a appetizer and it was great. The jalapeños and mustard sauce were delicious. For main courses, we had the seafood pan roast and walleye pecandine. Discribed as spicy, the pan roast was not. The walleye was ok but soft. It was described as having toasted pecans but was not toasty. The house special drinks were good. The old fashioned was ok, but the mule was really good. The highlight was the local beer from Peach Barn Farmhouse & Brewery. The Jersey Chaser IPA was really delicious. We split a piece of average cherry pie because they ran out of the guava cake. The waiter was great as was the bartender. Parking or finding a place to park at 7pm was a nightmare so plan ahead or find a place with a real parking lot.

Enjoyed a nice dinner in Sister Bay at Lure. Nice specialty cocktails, imaginative menu options, and good service - great stop for a special or casual dinner.

I’d give it 5 stars just for the beautiful outdoor seating, but the meal itself was just ok. The walleye was full of bones (my dad was a fisherman and knew how to de-bone walleye). The NY strip steak on the 3-course early dining menu was small, but the lobster bisque was good. Cocktails are nice, but overpriced.

Fantastic vacation location and destination. It’s open later than they say. I’m from WI, so I’m picky about my fish fry. The Whitefish almandine is the right order. Definitely, this restaurant is expensive. Cherry pie with ice cream is a must have.

Had the surf and turf. Probably my own fault for ordering steak at a seafood place. Lobster was great, but not a generous portion. Steak was good, but didn’t live up to the price. No horseradish available? That was surprising. But the real reason for the 3 stars is the music. My 20-something kids might have thought it was nice, but thump thump thump to steak and lobster doesn’t work for me. I would probably go back if a group wanted to go, but would stick with fish. Cherry pie was good.

Lure was absolutely on point for a nice outdoor dining experience. We were there in August of 2020 and despite the Plandemic we enjoyed ourselves. The food was fantastic overall but I'd like to highlight their cherry pie which I had for dessert. My wife had a liquid dessert and chose a Brandy Alexander. I would highly recommend Lure for a date night out place. We'll definitely be back.

Great seafood restaurant. Amazing cocktails. Only downside is the outside dining is in the parking lot so my table was leaning pretty far. It hurt my back to sit like that but the meal was worth it.
