Honestly a perfect location! So walkable to all the main spots and yes, a great village view! The room was very clean. Excellent service, amenities (pastries, ice machine), and easy check-in/check-out. Would definitely stay here again! Made visiting Door County extra-wonderful and easy!

Great family-owned hotel. Room was comfortable and clean. Owner and her family very friendly and accommodating. We've stayed at Village View for several summers and have always had a great stay. Guests need to be patient these days. Like almost everywhere else in Door County, the owner is short-staffed; however service was still great and did not affect our stay.

Village View Inn is my go-to spot to stay when visiting Door County. I've stayed here countless times now and the staff is always friendly, the rooms are always clean and ready on time, and it's a great walkable distance from a number of dining and bar options in Sister Bay. As a bonus the prices are extremely fair even during the middle of peak season. I recommend The Village View Inn to all my friends and family who are looking to stay in Door County and I look forward to patronizing them myself for years to come!

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to stay here last minute on a weekend motorcycle trip. Not only was the owner (Sheena) awesome, but I have never stayed in a room so clean! I'm super weird and look at baseboards and this place was literally immaculate. You can tell she takes great pride in what she does. This hotel is seconds/minutes away from shopping/restaurants. It's not super updated (not really outdated either) but it's charming, clean and quaint. It was the vibe we were looking for on our weekend trip so thank you Sheena! We will definitely stay there again whenever we visit in the future. -Erin & Rob

We stayed here during the summer of 2020 by recommendation of our travel agent to celebrate our anniversary. The first couple of nights were great and the female owner was very friendly and accommodating. But after returning to our room on day 2 we told our travel agent there were ants in the room. Since we booked through her agency she handles small stuff like that and she contacted the owner. We were told they'd come clean the room and to let them know when we were out. Then about 15 minutes later were startled to hear loud banging on the door. My husband answered it and it was a very disgruntled man, who identified himself as the owner. He then started yelling at my husband and getting red in the face, and calling us names. When I approached he still was yelling and being very unprofessional and started calling us "liars", even though he could see the ants on the TV stand. He went so far as to kick us out saying that he didn't want "liars" staying on his property. Also even though my husband remained calm and didn't yell back or do anything wrong he had a particular problem with him and said I needed to sign papers to get the money for the rest of our stay back and that he didn't want to see my husband again.I really wish I would've thought to video tape the whole ordeal but my husband and I were both so shocked we didn't know what to do. To say the very least he was extremely unprofessional. I've never been so scared of someone in my life. After we got our money back, for the nights we didn't stay and were leaving, we saw him go in the room and start cussing and throwing things around. He had even cussed out our travel agent and told her not to call again too. So if a travel agency won't even recommend this place; I would think twice before staying here.Door County overall is a great place to travel to. We've spent quite a few summers at different areas in Door County and have loved every other experience there. I would definitely recommend spending a little more money and just going up the road to one of the hotels instead.

First of all, let me explain one thing. I'm giving a 5 star rating based on what the Village View Inn is, a quaint and modest motel at a reasonable price in a great location. Rooms are clean and decent sized with a mini fridge and coffee maker. I would like to see a microwave, but other than that no complaints. VV won't WOW you with amenities, no pool, no fitness center, no free breakfast. However this family run business is well maintained with a friendly rapport. The location is GREAT!! It's at the southern end of what would be considered the main drag in Sister Bay. Everything you would come to Sister Bay for is all within a 5-10 minute walk. I've stayed here twice and will gladly stay here again.

Just wonderful. Greeted by the owner who gave us tips on restaurants in the area. She had a great personality and made us feel right at home. The room was, for my wife and I, perfect. Very clean with a comfy bed. Highly recommend, thanks.

We made our first trip to Sister Bay this last Labor day weekend. We stayed at the Village View motel based on pictures and previous reviews and glad to say we were not disappointed. We were pleased with the location it is within walking distance of shops, restaurants, park/beach, and the marina. The rooms are basic but very clean and the staff is just wonderful and helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good clean and reasonable price motel stay. Plan to return myself one day! Only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is, I did miss not having a microwave or coffee pot in the room, they are both available in office when it's open though and they do have small refrigerators in the rooms. I can say I loved the staff!

Nice clean hotel. Owners were supper nice and friendly. We left for the day to explore, they had a wedding party stay there and taking up parking spots, the owner called me to let me know he was putting an orange cone where we parked so we wouldn't lose our spot. He didn't have to do that! Very friendly and close to town. Nice walk to check everything out

Ended up staying here after my girlfriend and I missed the ferry because it was the first place with vacancy. We ended up getting a balcony room with a slight view of the water, still it was amazing! The room wasn't the most impressive, but it was very cheap so you can't expect much. It was very dry feeling sleeping in the beds, but otherwise it was a pretty nice stay.

If you are looking for a clean and comfortable motel room this is hands down the best place to stay in Sister Bay. Wonderful ownership, clean, outdoor spaces, and close to everything - including Al Johnsons, downtown shops, the water front, and Sister Bay Bowl. We have been staying here every summer for ~15 years, and wouldn't consider staying elsewhere.

We stayed in a double bed room for three nights. Room was clean and comfortable. The location in Sister Bay is nice. We have come here before and will come back again next year.
