We spent 2 summers at Dovetail and both were great. Peaceful and quiet campground. Great internet. Very friendly owner and staff. We highly recommend this place.

Great campground with many options for various size RVs, trailers, and tents. Each RV site has power, water, and sewer hookup. Each site also has a picnic table, grill and firepit. Wifi service worked great.Area shuttle makes a stop out front or it's a quick bike ride into Sister Bay.Great having an onsite restaurant & bar along with a store for forgotten items or other local foods (Marchants meats and sausages)Restrooms: Very clean and maintained.Dog-friendliness: Plenty areas to walk dogs. Must be kept on leash.Picnic area: Each site has its own picnic area

Great place to camp in an RV or tent. It’s very new and the grass is still coming in so many sites are dirt with a few weeds. The back in sites are longer than the pull through sites. There is an area for campers with pets which is separate from no pet area. The check in needs a lot of improvements. Currently, the sign says to check in at the store/gas station in the front but the clerk had no idea how to do it and told us to do it online. All RV sites have full hook ups. The tent sites had water and electricity (and were just adorable). The price was $45 per night and well worth it. Easy to find location near Sister Bay.

Nice, peaceful, clean. Close to attractions. Wifi and full set ups makes it convenient. Not much for kids to do there. Feels more geared for older campers.Playground: No playground.Restrooms: Clean reatrooms.Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly with dog walk area. Just need responsible dog owners.

Another good RV spot in Sister Bay. Easy in Easy out. Nice fill up with gas, get your ice and beer. Then just park your RV. Hook-ups I felt were in the wrong spot. Bad design: It's in the middle of the RV location. So you're gonna need an extra 10 feet of sewer hose. All the spots were like that. Relatively new RV camping to have made a design mistake. Shuttle stop for downtown Sister Bay is at the location. Save yourself the parking head trouble, runs untill 2am.

New campground opened in 2021. Full hook up sites- pull through and back in. I appreciated that units with dogs were in a different part of the Campground. Not a lot of shade yet, but in a few years...

Nice clean (new) campground in Door County. We were traveling with our three small dogs and it's nice that they have an area specifically for campers with pets and it's near the dog walk. Extremely convenient being next to a gas station/convenience store, because we always forget something and it's easy to gas up before leaving. As the newly planted trees grow and fill in, it will be a lovely place to stay.

Nice no frills campground. If you are looking for a pool and a lot of amenities then this isn’t it. But it’s a newer quiet park. Sites are big. There is a bar and grill and gas station in front of the campground. There are newer shade trees, but honestly you don’t need shade. We were here in August and the temps were in high 60’s.

We set up our tent in a quiet spot mostly secluded by some beautiful trees that were perfect for a hammock. The staff were very kind and understanding, especially when we had to leave a day early due to bad weather. I’d highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing weekend in nature. It was a lovely weekend getaway!

Very nice place! Excellent wifi. Nice size level sites with full hook up. Unfortunately, they had to deal with a situation with guests trying to take advantage (steal in my opinion) of an RV site, it was handled quickly, quietly and professionally. The dog friendly camping area is a great idea! The dog walk with provided poo bags is wonderful! Nice convenience store on site.

This is a relatively new campground so the trees are still young however the sites are very large and easy to get into. Nice dog walking area for those with pets. I had the pleasure of speaking with Tammy at the camp store, she was extremely friendly and helpful. Very clean campground, will definitely go back in the future. Thanks for the great stay!!

This is a nice campground. We really enjoyed the full hookup and WiFi! It was a very quiet location, but not far from all the fun stuff. We took our electric bikes and ride to town several times. We are looking forward to a return trip when the on-site restaurant will be completed. Another cute perk of this place, was a little library at the bath house!

We stayed at one of the properties affiliated with the campground. But wanted to share that the campground Gas station and camp store was so nice and helpful for any camper or quick stay at their sites! Definitely stop in for drinks, food, any necessities! Staff is friendly and helpful and easy to reach if something came up!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They just opened which I like. I took my family and two little babies and we are looking forward to making our stop here a new family tradition. We look forward to seeing the progression of this campsite in the future years to come. Obviously new bathrooms but very clean and spacious. They are in the process of adding WiFi which will be nice but not necessary when camping. Only down side is the dumpsite connection at each lot is high off the ground. Hope they will modify this to be more ground level so gravity can do its job when using. Other than that we will be back next season.

Very pleased with this newer Campground! Actually started our vacation down the road and almost cut our trip short. Spotted this campground online and decided to check it out. So glad that we did. From our friendly welcome with Theresa, to clean restrooms and great wi-fi, it was definitely a 5 star stay.

Newly developed camp ground was great and can only get better once trees fill in. People working this place are pleasant and so very helpful. Well worth the stay and easy access to down town that is only 1.5 miles away walk or ride as we did. They even have a bus that will take you. We had a blast.

Don’t waste your moneyI have stayed at hundreds of campgrounds across the country and Dovetail is the worst I’ve ever stayed at. While the back in sites are long, there’s no privacy anywhere on the grounds what so ever. You are practically on top of your neighbor. The whole area smelled like sewage. The other campers were incredibly rude and don’t even bother with the owners. They’ll just insult you to your face. Some people shouldn’t be in the business or working with people. They have restricted breeds of dogs as well, but don’t worry, they’ll make sure you’re next to a camper full of aggressive, off leash, and barking 24/7 chihuahuas. The bath house is nice, but be prepared for others to see you completely naked due to the lake of privacy. There’s also no where to leave your clothes or bath items without them getting soaking wet.Like I said, don’t waste your money unless you like don’t like your privacy, smelling like sewage, and getting insulted by the owners.

Great new campground! Spacious level gravel sites, lots of pull-thru. Easy to find with gas station and store at front and they have Starbucks CBD coffee in the morning! Great location on quieter 57 just off of 42, mid-Peninsula. Very clean restrooms with separate shower facilities. Pet lovers will appreciate the dog walk through the lovely meadows with poop bags and receptacles. Def will choose again!

Great campground! It’s private so and new so not a lot of trees or privacy, but the sites are level, there are full hookups and the shower house is so nice!! Owners were friendly and there is a free shuttle to and from Sister Bay on Thursday/Fri/Sat nights! Highly recommend.

Stayed a week and found this location excellent for taking in Door County. The campground has large sites and is only 3 years old so everything is laid out decent. Will give it 5 stars once the trees are a little larger.

Great staff and very clean and nice camp ground close to everything. Have stayed twice in the last 30 days for total of eight days.Tammy at the front desk was very nice and informative about the area, on our first trip which caused us to come back with grandkids for Egg Harbor pumpkin feast. Feast was a great time. Thank you Tammy for info on it.Tammy is the best!!

Let's not argue about your definition of camping. We have a 30 foot travel trailer. Lots of people do. We like to take as much of home with us as we can when we travel with our camper. I am delighted with our experience at Dovetail Acres just outside Sister Bay in Door County. Yes, it's a new campground. The trees, all planted, are only about 10' tall. The pull-through campsites are relatively close together. But this campground has WiFi throughout! Last night we were able to stream our favorite Netflix program without interruption. Today, we have our full complement of YouTube TV with local Green Bay channels. We have a full hookup with electricity (both 30 & 50 amp service), water and sewer right here at the campsite. A raised grill and fire ring and picnic table are provided. I'm not sure what the per-night cost is but judging by the huge rigs parked here (plenty of open sites but probably about 40% full), the rates are not an issue. What's even more remarkable is that they have a tent section ( currently nobody camping there) and each site has a crushed limestone pad, water, electric and WiFi! Oh, and we are located in the No-Pets section. There is a generous section for people who bring their fur babies. They have a restaurant at the entrance under construction. This might be our new go-to location in Door County. So satisfied!

New RV park in a great location. It’s a gem and when it is discovered I’m sure it will be hard to get a site. Very quiet and sites with pets are segregated which makes it even nicer. Will definitely stay here again.Tammy in the office was great to work with and very knowledgeable.

We were looking for a campground in the heart of the Door County activities and happy to say that we stumbled across this campground for their opening weekend. 1 mile from sister bay and a perfect location for anyone who is on the go wanting to explore the area attractions. The campground owner and workers were extremely welcoming and could definitely tell they have put their heart into getting this up and running despite the Covid challenges and delays. We definitely will return to this campground as we know it will only continue to get better and better.
