Kim was an excellent and friendly server who greeted and seated us promptly.We ordered the Water Street Combo Platter which includes chicken strips, fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings served with a variety of dipping sauces.The excellent appetizer really got our hopes up, but we were disappointed with the rest of the meal.We were feeling a little adventurous and both ordered something out of our wheelhouse because we wanted to try something new.I ordered the Rachel SW (Reuben w/Turkey) topped with swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island dressing served on toasted marble rye.Matt ordered the open face Turkey served over a slice of sourdough bread topped with mashed potatoes and gravy.The open face sandwich was listed under the heading that states 'served with your choice of French fries, sweet potato fries, parmesan garlic fries, house-made chips, or a cup of soup. 'I questioned if it was really correct and when we asked our server, Kim to be sure - she said it was the second time today she was asked. Even though that particular sandwich doesn't come with the fries she added them to the order with no extra charge.Neither of us had ever had the items we ordered before however - we have had all the components of the meals. For example - we each had turkey - our turkey was really tasteless and kind of odd flavored, something seemed off. I have had sauerkraut countless times before - this kraut was just not zingy in flavor. Matt said the same about his mashed potatoes and gravy.If we would have stopped with appetizer, we probably would have given it five stars.We ordered more than we knew we could finish hoping to bring leftover with us to our vacation rental for a second meal.We would like to say we simply ordered the wrong thing but a bad taste, is a bad taste. We did not lodge a complaint with our server because business was starting to really ramp up and we didn't want to ruin her evening.This was definitely a mixed bag experience for us, but it was bad enough overall that if we found ourselves in the area again, we would probably go out of our way to find a different place for dinner rather than try again.

Was driving through and was looking for some good food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good portions and worth stopping. Ordered the Reuben for myself. My kids went to town on some mac and cheese and a cheese burger with fries.Kid-friendliness: The kids menu was not posted but the staff informed me they had a few items for kids.Cheeseburger, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, or chicken tenders.

We stopped on a whim traveling through to Galena for a girls weekend. Boy am I glad we did! Frosty spotted Cow on tap coupled with an amazing burger, parmesan fries and the very best service! We will stop again on our way home to experience other great items in the menu! We felt like we had been there a million times before we were so welcomed in. Thanks! See you soon!

We ate there over the weekend i dont know if they were short staff but, It took us over 1.5hrs to get our food. Once we got it, it wasnt bad. But, The fact you run a resturant you have people waiting over an hour for food is not good buisness. I know it happens you lose peoples orders or it gets in late. But, When you bring peoples food soo spaced out like 10mins apart half of people were done eating once others got there food. And one of us never got our food at all.. Than once she got it we were just tired of it.. We noticed people who came in after us got their food much sooner. The owner talked to us offered 25% off and a free beer and everyone from us to the owner was just fusterated. I dont think they couldve fixed the issue unfortunately.. The Owner kept saying we have a small kitchen. I understand that but, whyy advertise a big menu. Keep it simple pizza and burgars.. I understand if you are short staff because its like that every where. But, 1.5hrs for you food sorry thats not good buisness at all.. When you run a resturant you will have a hiccup here and their I understand..

The Burg is a very nice bar and grill. Nice rustic interior decor. We had the grilled chicken special and it was very good like home cooking. Nice beer selection and overall comfortable vibe. lots of capacity. shirts and hats available.

Burgers and fries were amazing! Cheese curds were good but way too much salt, and this from a person who puts salt on everything. I will definitely come back to try other yummy treats.

We were served by McKenna and she did a great job, very friendly and did her job well. The flatbread and taco salad were great! I wouldn’t recommend the ham steak though. A good vibe and affordable menu. 👍🏻

This place offers a special on Fridays of bluegill. It's an amazing item offered with various sides and I had a reasonably sized baked potato and coleslaw as the sides. Service was exceptional and the restroom is immaculate. Every bit of detail in the decor reflects the quality of the food and the genius business decision to offer bluegill as a special on Fridays. There's room to accommodate any number of friends but I would recommend getting there early.

It was really busy and they told us it would be over an hour wait but we stayed anyway. Glad we did; the young gentleman that took our order was very attentive and we were impressed on how much he hustled. The food was amazing!

This was our first time at The Berg. It was highly recommended by family members. We were not impressed. The service was cold and very slow. 4 people in our party of 12 ordered a beer. It took 20 minutes (and us inquiring twice) to get our drinks. The manager or owner?? who came to give us our appetizers knew we were waiting on drinks. When he saw that we finally got the order, he says, “have we all calmed down now that we have drinks?” None of us had raised our voice or acted angry with any of the staff. I really didn’t appreciate that comment and an apology would have gone a long way. When our food came, the cod was rubbery and 3 of my 4 children did not have the correct order. We won’t be back.

Excellent service and food! Had the Special - Turkey and dressing and the crispy chicken and bacon. Excellent whiskey selection. Highly recommend this place. Small town feel, bike friendly.

Great food, a little pricey, but I always walk away full and satisfied. Check out Gravity Hill while in the area, for a small barIt is darn good food though
