I have always had great experiences with Sunset Pet Retreat! Tim and Jo are so kind and professional, and take care of your pets as if they were their own. Their love for our furry friends is evident at every visit, when our dog comes home happy, healthy, and well cared for. Tim and Jo are always quick to return phone calls and accommodate a stay at their retreat anytime they have availability! Highly recommend!!

Tim and Jo take such great care of our boys! Our 🐶 pups jump out of the truck and run to the door! Our pups have never cared for being kenneled and since finding Jo and Tim we can comfortably leave our boys knowing they are safe, happy and well taken care of! Great find as we are not from the area, it's worth the drive knowing they are with Tim and Jo!

We used Sunset for the first time a few weeks ago, leaving our 2 young Tibetan Terriers with them for about a week. We were extremely satisfied with the care the dogs received and the professionalism of the owners. Very well organized, run and clean operation! We will definitely be back!

Sunset Pet Retreat is the Best- love knowing when I have to leave my fur babies they are treated like family by Jo & Tim. This kennel is amazing. Always clean & the staff is so friendly & accommodating - my dogs literally run to the door to meet Jo & or Tim they love it there. No better feeling then knowing your pets are in caring loving hands while your away. Thank you Jo & Tim for all that you do 💕

Our golden Harper just loves going here! Jo and Tim are always so friendly when we do drop off and pick up. You can tell they just love animals, would highly recommend using their kennel if your in the area.

Jo and Tim have the best kennel anywhere. My dogs love going there. Jo has a kind, understanding, and loving way with dogs. It is an exceptional kennel...very clean, very well run, very understanding people, and , well, just a wonderful home away from home for your canine family member. Sunset Pet Retreat!!

Tim and Jo take such great care if our fur babes! They have a great space and ample play areas. Our dogs obviously get allot of time outside as they are happy and sleep all the way home after we pick them up. P.S. we visit family in the area and are from the cities- that's a 3 hour ride!

I wish my dog could write this review cause he is OBSESSED with going to see Jo, Tim, and his doggy friends. He is always so excited! He's there several times a week, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my baby. I have an Golden Retriever puppy, and I didn't think he could ever truly get tired and worn out. That was before I started taking him to Sunset. Now, he is totally worn out, and I can actually get stuff done around the house without him bounding around full of energy! I cannot recommend them enough and my little man's excitement to see them sings their praise!

My son left his two very loved dogs there for 11 days. They were loved, exercised; and well cared for, and we had no reservations leaving them in Tim and Jo’s care based on reports we’d had from others. I know these folks genuinely love dogs ( and cats?😀)

Our pups, and grandpups have been going to Sunset Pet Retreat for the past 11 years for day care and boarding. They love the social interaction with other pups and can't get out of the car quick enough when they see their "Aunt Jo and Uncle Tim" as their humans fondly refer to them. Highly recommend this family business!

We've been bringing our dogs here for the last 2 years. They've probably had in the neighborhood of 20 stays here. Tim and Jo are awesome people and we know our dogs are safe here. They are probably more spoiled than at home.

Sunset pet retreat in Shell Lake Wisconsin is clean, well laid out and beautiful. The owners and staff are friendly and professional. They know what animals need ,and they are attentive to each individual dog or cat. I trust them fully with all my pets.

When people entrust you and PAY you to take care of their beloved pet...and the dogs escaped( many times) do you think you should stop and rethink your facility?Your safety measures?One ending up dead.Your staff?Rescue groups many times will go out and spend countless days 24/7 and large sums of money to fix YOUR MISTAKES.AND BRING HAPPINESS BACK TO THE FAMILY.I HOPE PEOPLE THAT THINK OF USING YOUR "BUSINESS" SERIOUSLY RECONSIDER.
