This was a delightful stop! The owner, Don, is extremely friendly, and he's got an amazing collection of mounted wildlife animals. There was also a wide variety of Belle Plaine Cheese, handmade crafts, and more. It's no longer a cheese factory, but it's definitely worth a stop!

Beautiful little Diamond In The Rough. Wisconsin has several of these hidden (or Tucked Away) little gems. So glad they've been able to endure all these years and still churning out world -class products.

Great little factory cheese store!Got some tasty and hot ghost pepper cheese, great squeaky fresh cheese curds and a good salami cheese too.I'll get some 12 yr. Cheddar next time.

Never disappointed with their cheese! 🧀 I pick up cheese here for family gatherings all the time. I also always send Christmas Cheese Boxes to friends and family out of state. They put have set boxes or you can pick and choose what you'd like to send. They always arrive on time in a cute gift box.FYI....the cheese curds are also very yummy!!!

Love this place. We visited on the recommendation of someone who used to live in this area. The gentleman running the store was very kind and took time to show us around while telling us many of the stories behind the animals. Great selection of quality cheeses.

Love this place! Surprisingly large cheese selection, with your run of the mill types of cheeses and uncommon types. Try the olive cheese, it is amazing. Have always had the same gentleman wait on me and he is always smiling, helpful and takes his time to answer any questions. I try to get their once a month because we love their selection and service.

We have bought cheese here from shortly after they opened in 1972! That said, my going off to college and staying in Chicago has made our stopping by highly infrequent!!With the evolution of farming in the area to mega farms, the independent, small cheese makers have largely disappeared. Though Bell Plaine Cheese Factory no longer makes their own cheese the products that they sell, and the numerous cheese selections that they have available, is outstanding!!! The 12 year old cheddar is reasonably priced and so creamy...it melts in your mouth. The smoked mozzarella cheese sticks tear beautifully. Their smoked aroma can permeate the area, making you wonder if it will be too strong! Actually, it has a soft, subtle smoky flavor which is not overpowering in the least. The curds are soft and squeaky! The habanero cheese is extra creamy with a delightful spark of heat from the habanero. We ended up buying over five pounds of cheese and a pound of summer sausage for three people!!We definitely need to get back more often!!

Awesome cheese! Fresh, squeaky curds that are top notch. Quite a selection of cheese varieties without the weird flavored stuff some places do to increase their assortment. Reasonable prices too.

I have never personally been to this store, but every year for the last 10 years (at least) my dad and his wife send me a box for Christmas! I just recieved my box today, I have never been so excited to get cheese, but seriously it's THAT GOOD!! Better than anything I can buy in Georgia🧀🧀🧀

We always stop here to buy cheese. The 10 year old aged cheddar is awesome and the sliced American is better than anything you can buy at a grocery store. So many cheeses as well as variations of cheeses (ex. horseradish cheddar, jalapeño cheddar, etc.) to choose from.

I have been buying cheese from Belle Plaine since my children were little. Every Christmas I ship a box of cheese to the Kids and it is their favorite gift! If you are a true cheddar lover you have to try their aged cheddars.
