Best part is that the owner genuinely cares about the wellbeing of animals, and makes every effort to ensure animals in her care receive proper attention and perspective pet owners are educated and well prepared. These are rare values in pet stores that sell live animals, and I truly appreciate her approach.

We've been going to Animal House since they've opened. We have a large dog and two smaller dogs so we in constant need of food, toys and treats. My daughter brought home a snake and gets her food there. The service and advice we get is excellent!

The best experience ever, DJ and Tara were super nice people, they have a good variety of supplies for your pets, there is a cat room in there so you can see all the cats, there is all sorts of other animals in there, every animal that seems really happy, they take very very good care of the animals, I will definitely recommend coming here.

Besides having everything one could need for pet or wild bird feed, one of unique and fun features is the cat room. For a small donation you and/or your children can hang out with several cats and kittens. Excellent therapy for stress and depression.

If the lady at the front desk wasn’t so rude I would’ve adopted a cat from this store that is over populated with cats in such a small space. Maybe be nicer to potential customers and I wouldn’t feel the need to look else where!! Smh do better for the cats sake.

My dog enjoys coming here and visiting with DJ and Tara while I pick out dog treats from the bulk bins and our preferred brand of dog food from the dog food aisle.And by "visiting" I mean getting told what a pretty girl she is while taste-testing the newest dog treats from their stash behind the sales counter. Yes, she enjoys that very much. Once she sees the treat jar is empty at home, she will try to pull me over to Animal House on our walks. Only happens when the treat jar is empty. 😎I recommend Animal House for sure. I would agree with other reviewers on the friendliness and knowledge of the owners, and with the owners on the fact that there is no extra room for back stock storage, so when deliveries arrive, there can be some chaos until they get everything put away.

We absolutely LOVE this Pet Store! They have all kinds of supplies and cool animals for purchase! They have snakes, rabbits, birds, and lots of kitties! The kitty room is a must visit once a week for us! It's therapeutic! ❤️

Dj and Tara are great they have great customer service, and they have great prices. Most of all they are down to earth people that won't screw you over like other pet stores. They are very knowledgeable with everything they sell, willing to help you whenever you need it. This is my place my family's place, the best pet store around hands down. Very first experience with this store. Actually stopped tonight to go to the Family dollar store next door. We have driven by a million times but never been inside. The lights were on so we walked over! We were gobstruck when we saw all the cats in the front window!There must have been at least 20 cats in a 12 x 12 adoption room. A younger blonde woman was filling a SINGLE self feeder of cat food as we watched. FOR TWENTY CATS!?!?! She placed the small container along a wall and literally a dozen cats tackled each other trying to get to the one small feeding dish!! It was chaos with some of them swatting at each other to try and get to a bite!Granted, all the cats looked apparently healthy and the room looked clean, with many shelves and cat trees and pieces of furniture for them to climb on, but that room was PACKED with cats, and a single feeding dish!The woman clearky saw us 2’ away looking in the window. She never looked at or acknowledged us in ANY way. She shut the lights off and left the room as the feeding frenzy continued.No more than 3 minutes later, she came out the front door, literally just a few FEET from us, locked the door and walked past us shoulder to shoulder and SAID NOTHING! Not a word!!!!! She went on down the sidewalk, around the corner and out of sight!I have no idea if she was hired help or the owner, but I have never experienced such an incredible example of HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN MY LIFE!We ALL know how Many cats need adopting out there! Here was a JAM PACKED ROOM FULL of cats and not a single comment by this person to encourage business!The VERY LEAST she could have done was acknowledge us. Maybe even say something such as, Hello! I’m so terribly sorry, but I must close the shop on time. Here is our card. Please come back and meet these cats! Bring a friend and tell everyone you know! They all need good homes, and we sell everything you will need to help take care of your new friend!Instead, she left us feeling like we weren’t part of the cool kids club and no one cared that we were there AT ALL! Sad for the cats as we won’t be back, and we certainly won’t recommend them.And PLEASE - you sell bowls! Dobyou think you could spring for one or two more feeders so 20 cats don’t have to fight over one?!?!?!

I love the cat room at this place. We call it our family therapy sessions when we go. They always have exactly what we need for our cats and the prices don't reflect a gouge in my pocket book. Thank you for being perfect so we can be the best cat parents!

I cot my first cat Sardine here. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the service is excellent. They take very good care of the animals and all the animals get adopted very quickly as far as I know.I was very impressed with the fact that my cat had her vaccines up to date and was even spayed for no extra cost. And her price was very reasonable too. The owner also does background checks so that you know the animals are going to a great forever home!

This place is great!!! The small town feel with the same if not more useful products than the bigbox places. I am always impressed with the owners and courtious staff, as they keep a very well cared for petshop... with you and your pets best interests in mind. Absolutely willing to pay a hair more for products as I know the direct impact every purchase has on the owners lives and what they give back to the local community! We need more small businesses like this one.

This is a review from a first time shopper, who is not a local. This is my first impression when walking through the door.All these reviews say that the place is very clean and they have a good selection for cats and dogs.. however I did not see that. Granted it's New Years Eve, so the place has most likely been ransacked due to the holidays but the two people up front didn't seem eager to clean up. The moment you walk in the right side of the store is trashed, a massive fish tank (not stocked either with any fish, just sitting), a nice cat tree with a destroyed one on top. And countless other items thrown behind it. We almost missed the loose cat sitting in the destroyed cat tree on top. There wasn't a sign or anything warning about a cat running around. I figured all the cats were inside their adoption room(didn't look to closely on if it was an adoption room) with 10+ cats in it. The cat room was cool, coming from a cat person, however was super crowded. The bird/small animal room was dirty, their supplies for taking care of them were thrown in a corner. The cages as well were not large enough for proper wellbeing. Even if it is supposed to be temporary, those cages were gross. The reptile/fish room was awful. The solitary reptiles were being put together even though there were countless empty enclosures around them. The fish were honestly okay, small tanks for sure but nothing horrifying. Besides the betta fish cups. One of them had a very fuzzy rock bottom, which looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. The place was very out of stock, however the place was also littered with shipment in boxes. Again that wouldn't have been a bad thing if someone was stocking the shelves, but no one was working at all. The only two people were up front talking to a customer (that I believe they knew). I work in retail, and I would be ashamed to have a customer walk into that. They need someone who is passionate about working there because it's obvious they do not care.

Staff was so helpful. The selection of cats are amazing you really get a wide variety. I love how it is like a cat sanctuary and you can meet your future fur baby, in a calm safe zone, that the animal is comfortable in. I got a dark orange tabby from there. It was a quick turn around. I appreciate all the checks and test they did on my kitten before I adopted. They really care for the animals there. Highly recommended people adopt cats from there.

Tara and DJ are some of the most kind hearted owners you'll ever meet! They ALWAYS go above and beyond for anyone who goes to their store. They are so informative and knowledgeable about everything they sell. If they don't have something you need, they work with you and figure out the best way to get it for you or to send you on the right path! Amazing people doing amazing things in our community!

I'd recommend this store. Not a large section for reptiles, or other pets than dogs and cats, but its always a clean and well maintained store whenever I stop by there. And always willing to support the community. 5/5.

Excellent service! We stopped in to buy a replacement fish for my son's fish tank (I'm sad to say the original fish came from a different store and didn't make it)... Anyway, we went to Animal House Pet Supplies and everyone was so incredibly helpful! The gentleman we talked to helped us better understand our fish tank and the maintenance of it. He also helped us to pick out the most appropriate replacement fish for our tank. He also gave us many helpful tips on feeding the fish to avoid over feeding.The entire store was clean and the fish tanks were spotless! Much different from the big box store where we bought the original fish. I wish we would have brought our business to Animal House from the beginning. We will be back for sure!!Keep up the great work :)

A fantastic local supply store for all my pets' needs. Just started shopping here due to recent move into the area and I can't wait to become a regular. Very friendly staff; while I can't say for sure, has a family-owned feel. So far our purchases have included gerbil and puppy supplies. They also have some unique small animals looking for homes- great for kids to enjoy while there (nope, not gonna buy, stop asking kiddos! Lol) & interact with, including a room dedicated to cat/kitten visits. Convenient location.

Great local business. Tara is friendly and helpful. They carry a wide variety of animal supplies. If you don't see what you want, just ask and they can order it for you! The best part.. You get to look at all the wonderful animals they have roaming around. Love it here.

I am so happy we have such a great pet store with local foods for our animals! I went in needing help with a change of food for a cat who was losing hair. They helped me pick the perfect food and my cat is growing her fur back! Same when finding our dog the right food! We are lucky to have a great store in our town!
