Breakfast was delicious and filling. You definitely get your money's worth. Tenderloin and hash was excellent. Both kids had the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs and we're very satisfied. Wife had the Southwest Omlet and had to put the leftovers in a box for later. Will have to visit again next time we're at the lake.

Easter brunch was amazing! Super friendly when I called for the reservation. Excellent service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left! Food was exceptional. They had a special Easter menu. My large group of 8 was served timely with signature drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The entire experience was perfect for my family. Thank you for making my holiday wonderful!

Service was great. Food was excellent. Prices were good. My only complaint were the flies. There were a ridiculous amount of them, near the window where we were seated. It got a little better after we switched tables. The staff should have attempted to get rid of them, before opening for the day. Kind of puts a damper an breakfast, when you have the little guys buzzing around your food. Gross.

The Roost is a hidden gem of Wisconsin. It's kind of out of the way, not much to look at on the outside, and if you aren't local you'd probably never hear of it.As soon as you walk inside your expectations will change. It's a very nice dining room and to you can smell fresh coffee right away. I've only ever had breakfast here and I'd be happy with just that but I hear their dinner specials are amazing.This place cares about food. I order the country fried steak with country gravy, hash browns, eggs, and pancakes (yes that's one menu item haha). It's the best breakfast steak I've had and you can taste the eggs are farm fresh. Their coffee is fresh ground and super smooth. I can drink it black which is rare for me.To sum up you should give this place a try. It's worth the eight minute detour off highway 53.

We drove over an hour away for Father's Day breakfast. I was very disappointed. The staff was not very friendly, we waited a long time for food. I got the lobster scramble. I was not impressed. My son really liked the banana bread french toast. We ordered him a second order. This came out cold. The waitress said she would let the cooks know, but no apology.

Great atmosphere, great food, great daily specials. Go to the Friday fish fry! Its all you can eat and good! This is where the locals eat and for good reasons, the prices are fair the staff is very nice. The owner likes to walk around and get your opinion on his food which shows how much his restaurant means to him!

I really enjoyed my visit! The place is beautiful, the prices are good and the food is awesome! I got a shrimp scrambler for breakfast and i was nervous about shrimp in my eggs but it was so good! Will definitely be back.

Some of the best homemade crab cakes I’ve tasted! Fish is amazing also. We try to stop in and out of travels to the north lake area! Setting is beautiful with views of the woods, and flowers surround. Deck seating a plus on a nice day!

We went to the roost after golfing at Butternut Hills for my sister in-laws birthday. We started with the cheese curds and they were perfect! My sister in-law ordered the lobster Mac and cheese and it was fanominal! My wife had the bang-bang shrimp flat bread and she loved it! We are going back the next time we play golf!

It was just ok. My wife's cinnamon roll appeared to be overly microwaved and not fresh made. My breakfast burrito was just ok also. Had much higher expectations. We've had take out off the dinner menu and it was much better. Maybe we caught them on an off morning

Love this place! Highly recommend the All-you-can-eat option during the week! Can’t decide wether shrimp, chicken or ribs are the best. They are all well prepared and have a variety of tasty dips.Also the salads and soups taste great due to freshness and diversity of ingredients!

Their endless shrimp nights are amazing (as is their regular menu!). Fresh, delicious, made-to-order eats. Don’t let the small town, back road, location fool you, The Roost is big on flavor and hospitality. Would definitely recommend!

Went to The Roost for Friday night fish fry last night for the first time. It definitely won't be the last time! I tried both the baked and fried fish options and they were both excellent! Also really loved the chicken wings with their custom rub and hand battered onion rings all of which I dipped in their delicious Roost sauce. Cheddar biscuits and beef stew were also enjoyed. Pleasant friendly banter with the servers, too. Great down home decor with a fresh, modern feel. Don't miss out on this Northwoods gem!

On a Girls Weekend! Came to the Roost for brunch. Food was great, staff was excellent. We all had separate checks, No problem! The bread was excellent. Mimosa,s were tasty. Great treat in the North woods!💋

If they're serving all you can eat fish, they should at least give you 2 pieces of fish to start with, not just one. And they should check back with you a little sooner to see if you want another piece. The other bad thing is when you ask for a second piece, the order takes just as long as your initial order, it should be served fairly quickly. The food was good but the timing and the waiting sucked!

We enjoy the atmosphere and food. Personally, I love the bang bang shrimp. Many things to choose from. Excellent fish fry. Salads, flat breads, and wraps are filling and tasty.

The Roost didn't do much for me. We waited 1 hour 15 minutes for food when there were only 2 other tables with 2 people each waiting for their orders. People that came in after us got their food before we did. Take out seemed to take precedent over in-diners. Baked potatoes ran out, I was notified well into our waiting time, had to settle for french fries and they substituted my steak with something I can't describe. Will not be going back.

So disappointed on visit on Friday morning. Breakfast was disappointed. Hash browns not fully cooked. Hot chocolate wasn't good plus missing whipped cream. 😏 waitress was very friendly and kept the visit at a 3 stars.

The margarita pizza had way too much raw uncooked garlic. Imagine peanut butter made of raw uncooked garlic and spread onto the crust topped with tomatoes and cheese. Ouch. The other pizzas we tried were very good.

Great Catering: We had the Roost cater a business event we hosted for the public. They worked with us to create the right menu for the audience, setting, and budget. They delivered and set up the food, and made everything delicious. All the guest were satisfied, the event went great, and the Roost was great to work with.

Incredible food!! These are great prices, and big city styles for food!! The beautiful presentation of these meals and different kinds of food is insane and unexpected for a restaurant in this location, and more like a big city. Great staff.

The food is amazing, and our waitress Alexis was very patient and had a great attitude. I would ask for her, if you eat here. The owners are great, super friendly and funny. I just love it here.
