The family and I had a great time. The lion's and Tigers are well taken care of. It's very affordable. The only thing I would have liked if they had something like a fact sheet about the animal with information on the situation they came from.

We had the most incredible experience at Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue last month! We booked the Spa Cabin and spent the night under the stars with the cats, overlooking the sanctuary from atop the hill, and listening to them chuff and roar as the sun set with beautiful views all around. We woke up and had coffee with the sunrise before attending the morning feeding tour (included with the overnight stay) and then we walked the path a few more times and said our goodbyes.Jeff and Jenny (and the whole team!) made sure that we had a safe, educational, and enjoyable visit. We can't wait to go back later in the season and visit everyone again! It was a truly unforgettable experience! 🐾

Beautiful, well taken care of facility. The cats all look really healthy and happy. The volunteers are all knowledgeable and seem passionate about their mission. We only heard one roar, but it was amazing!! Make sure you buy a chicken to feed one of the cats!! Thank you wisconsin big cat rescue for a great experience!!

Love it!! I recommend this place to everyone! This was my first time here and it’s amazing. Place is we’ll maintained and the animals look happy. You get to see them up close. Please help support these beautiful creatures and visit as often as you can. I spoke to the two ladies the were there today and they’re so nice and you can truly tell they care about their animals. To the staff- you’re making such a great difference in the lives of those beautiful creatures.

Beautiful sanctuary for unwanted big cats. Owners are completely hands on and know all the details and diets of each individual cat.We stayed overnight and loved the cabin - very clean, neat, and comfortable.

Fantastic place to visit. The cats are beautiful well cared for, plenty of room, they were active while we were there during their feeding time. The workers are kind and answered all the questions. They run off of donations so if you have extra meat or you hunt they could use it all to feed the cats.

This rescue is amazing! If you are nearby the Wisconsin Dells or Devil's lake, it's just a short drive over. You will see all kinds of big cats that were rescued from other facilities. They have plenty of stimulating activities for the cats. You can donate money to give the cats meat and watch them sniff out their treats (They are fed regularly as well). Once the cats get vocal, you can feel it in your chest! You will never forget hearing a lion roar so close to you. It's also home to ligers! All of their efforts, food, and vet care comes out of pocket. If you have a chance to visit and give donations, you won't regret giving money to such good people taking care of these big animals in need.

Incredibly cool visit. there are over 20 big cats at the Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue including lions, tigers, and a liliger. We went for the feeding tour which starts at 8am (reservations needed). You walk along a trail and stop at each pen for feeding and questions. It was informative and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The morning feeding tour lasts about an hour. Great place to bring visitors to the area.I will come back again.

What a great place to stay. We unfortunately only got to spend one night here but it was definitely memorable. The price per night may seem a bit pricey but I'm guessing it goes towards much needed funds to raise these cats and is well worth it.

It was amazing some of the cats were active, most were laying in the grass or there cages. But they're animals andntou have no control over that. They have a small gift shop in the middle, the price was great. All and all, my daughter and i will be back again.

We frequent this sanctuary as often as we can. If you love big cats , you need to support them. We've taken the feeding tours, bought them chickens and enhancements . These are rescued cats from zoos and people who couldn't take care of them as pets. The owners are doing this to help them live out there lives as comfortably as possible. You can slowly walk the area or for elderly and handicapped drive around the road. It gets hot during the summer no shade from viewing area . So be prepared. This is a great experience especially if you take one of the tours. All proceeds go to the care of the cats.

Great place to see beautiful big cats! It was about a 400m loop around. Great for young children if they love big cats. They just need to be able to follow the ground rules. :D

Always knowledgeable staff and willing to answer all questions about their big cats. Plus I got to see my daughter in action with her summer internship after graduating from UW Madison in Zoology.

This big cat rescue was a surprise to find in a town of 326 residents. It is well worth a visit. From Rock Springs Broadway St, WI Hwy 154, turn south on Park St which becomes Pine St. It is a tax deductible non-profit organization.

Just a wonderful slice of heaven! Wonderful place, stay in the cabins, they might list them as cabins but they are incredibly nice. The cats are fat and happy and the owners are great people. Add it to your list of things to go see!

These are great people with so much compassion and care for the cats. They are all rescued cats, and they treat them all like family. They don't let anyone tease or mock the cats, and they keep their areas super clean and fun for the animals. If you have a dislike for cat rescues, I highly reccomend you come see th here, because it will change your mind 100%

I've been here a few times, but only general entry. Wednesday, September 21, 2022, I came for the morning feeding tour. Since it took me a week to finally write this review, and because my memory isn't great to begin with, I've forgotten the name of the woman who gave the tour. I'm so sorry...I want to share how amazing this woman is. I was part of a larger group (5 adults, 3 of which in wheelchairs, and one toddler). Unfortunately, it took a bit longer for a couple of our members to get ready so we were a little late. We called ahead and we're told they could wait ten minutes maximum. The cats are on a schedule and need to be fed at the same time everyday. Of course we understood and very much appreciated that they waited for us. This woman didn't have her usual helper so she had to perform both roles- feeder AND speaker. She shared the origin story of each cat and also fed them, gave them clean water, etc. It was a huge task and she handled it like a champ! She's been doing it for 17 years, as she's one of the owners of this sanctuary. We had a great time and learned a lot! It was really awesome seeing the cats eat, hearing them growl, groan, and mildly roar. I can't share videos with this review, so I can't share the sounds. But I will share pics after I'm done writing this.Thank you so so much for an amazing experience! I definitely will come back for the feeding tour again. A $25 donation well spent! 🙂💙🐅🐯🦁🐆Also, I didn't even think to get photos of the entrance, the gift shop, etc. I'll try to remember next time. And finally, I should add that in addition to souvenirs (keychains, magnets, stuffed toys, T-shirts, sweatshirts, cups, etc), they also sell ice cream, soda, water and I forgot what else. And their public restrooms are clean. I can assume the women's is just as clean as the men's. They take great care of the entire place. Even the grass looks nice, professionally mowed.Anyway, that's all I can think of at the moment. If you're in the area, be sure to check this place out! And if you can, I highly recommend the feeding tour. It's earlier than some of us like, but so worth it! It's the most active part of the day for the cats, which means more excitement for us! 🙂🙂🙂

What a great place! We thought it was pretty awesome for them to turn their business from photography into rescuing these wonderful kitties. Most of them were pretty sleepy when we got there, just like our three cats at home, lol. We still got great views of most of them. They looked like they were all in great shape, and very comfortable.Apparently they have a couple cabins you can rent now, check out the shower in the spa cabin, it looks like heaven! For the Go players, one Pokestop at the entrance, no gyms.Go check this place out, and if your able, make a donation to the cause.

All the cats were beautiful!! 🦁🐯🐅🐆 seemed so peaceful there. Loved being able to read their stories and how they got there. It's was a very hot day so we didn't get to see a few as they were in their houses but got to hear them talking to each other . What a cool experience. Recommended!! Please make a donation to help these amazing people help these beautiful creatures live out the rest of their lives in comfort.

What a great awesome sight! Loved to see all of these beautiful animals up close. Absolutely loved every minute that we spent there. It shows how much the owners have committed their lives to take care of these amazing animals. Have to thank them for allowing us to visit and observe all of the big cats. Haven't stopped talking about Big Cat Rescue since our visit on 9/14/2021.

This is our second visit and we stayed in the family cabin. We arrived Dec 30, and it was fun seeing the cats in the winter. The facility is closed to the public this time of year so we had lots of freedom to roam the facility and get to know the cats on another level. Because we rented the cabin, we got a morning feeding tour. We got to see each cat being fed, along with hearing from the owner, the cats’ stories. We were here with our three sons and it was a perfect learning opportunity for them. The cabin is awesome: clean, new, great WiFi, and with a view of the cats. The cats were very active in the cool and were as entertained by us as we were of them. We highly recommend a winter stay and we’ll be back for sure.

We were in the Dells for the week and when we were looking up things to do with our girls (14 & 8), we came across this! Being a big cat lover, we knew this was a must see! We tried to visit Wednesday but due to the heat, they had closed early. We were pretty disappointed, but very fortunate to have 80°weather today for us to try again! They were all out and lounging in the sunshine! We got to see one of the cats play with a box, and 2 of the cats each fed a chicken! Super neat place, gorgeous cats, friendly staff! We highly recommend!!

We got there for the morning feeding. The guide was so interesting and seeing the animals eat was cool. You could tell the guide truly and deeply cared for each one of these animals. Well, well worth it.

Super cool! And so much fun. Way better than any zoo I've been to. They weren't too active because it was hot but some of the workers walked around and it got some of the cats up and they put on a real show! You can buy chickens for 12$ and watch them eat it (cat of your choice) Must see!!!!

My husband and I went on the morning tour feeding for our 25th Anniversary. The owners and volunteers were very pleasant and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was great. The animals looked happy and very healthy and well taken care of. It was very obvious that the animals were loved and cared for. The work they do daily is amazing and honorable! I would highly recommend this on the list of things both for individuals and families. I also say to support them in whatever way you are able❤️❤️❤️

This was beyond what I thought it was going to be. It was amazing to see these giant cats start rubbing up against their enclosures when their caregivers approached. It was obvious right away that our guide knew each animal and cared about them. The owner was clearing out their feeding area while we toured and then when the big cats were in their secure feeding area, she went into each enclosure to clean out their water areas and refilled it with fresh water. I will be returning again to stay in one of the cabins they have on sight and I encourage everyone who loves big cats to visit.

My family and I always love stopping at Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue. We get to see most of the cats every time we stop! If it’s hot, they won’t be out much but if you go early in the morning, they will likely be out. Bring sun protection if it’s sunny as there is absolutely no shade.

I loved it. I got a really cute video of one of the tigers jumping into the water tank and back out chasing the ball they had in their cage. Clean walk way, lots of benches to sit on, only wish there was shade along the walk way. The sun was really shining and hot when we went.

We enjoyed it. At first all the cats were laying around which was neat to see them at least. But visitor's can pay a little extra to have staff get toys out for the cats to get them up and moving. That was more exciting to see. The cats seem to be well taken care of.
