I love this shop! I live about an hour away and try to go every chance I get. I always loved the quality and variety of all the products. This last trip I shopped and got amazing items. When I got out to my truck the running board fell off my truck but only on one end. They came out and helped me remove it completely so I could get on my way. They didn't leave me to take care of it myself as I was alone. Not only did they help with the truck but cleaned up all the rust that was left behind.WAY TO GO ABOVE AND BEYONG.That is why the meats and other products are top quality. They put quality into everything they do!

Dropped off deer Nov 19. Received deer ~4 mo later on March 9th. They would not give any indication of estimated time or number in the order despite me calling several times.Got 1/3 the deer into sticks. Sticks cost $7/lb. Unbeknownst to me, that $7 is charged on the final weight after they added more than double the weight of my deer to these sticks. So I was charged for 64 lbs x $7. This is not what any of the competitors that I've called do for determining costs of sticks...None of this was communicated up front. I will never go here again.

What a GREAT shop and store! AWESOME selection of meats, cheese, wine, fresh homemade jars of just about anything… fun experience and we left with a wide variety of many things! Wow we get our cow processed here. This has been the absolute best place to.work with and the meat is outstanding. We have done several butchers and Johnson has been better than the others by far. Excellent shop also.

I have had nothing but great experiences coming here, the staff is always friendly the meats are always great and the selection is amazing. My personal favorite is the beef jerky they make it there fresh and it's amazing!

Had a pig done here. Very happy with these people. They were very helpful on advising how to cut. Very positive attitude. Definitely recommend this place. Not sure what people are complaining about.

Have had pigs processed here twice now. Both times I have been very disappointed with the bacon and brats. Very little flavor. They charge more than most, and it's just not worth it. Will not be using them in the future. Customer service is rather poor too. I would not recommend using them.

This owner is insane!!! I go there a couple times a year. Stopped in, since I got my Bucky Book. Walked around for about 20 mins. I was with my buddy. Gave him a coupon I used the other one. He’s up there checking out. The owner starts making small talk with us. Asks where we’re from. I tell her, and say I have a seasonal in the area. She then goes you didn’t even walk around. Said yeah I did. In my head I’m thinking, I’m not paying $10 for a pound of bacon or $7 for a pack of cheese curds? Lmao but I kept that to my self. Lol. Owner then asks me, Did both your coupons come out of the same Bucky book? I was honest. Said, yeah. She then goes, (btw after we both paid!!!!) It’s one coupon per customer per family per day. I go, he’s a friend. She goes you know what I mean.. (and no it doesn’t say on the coupon any “rule” she stated, says nothing about 1 per person). I said never coming back here again! She CHASED me in the parking lot, and said, Don’t ever come back here! I then used a four letter word! And said go pay your taxes on your overpriced meat market!Look at this stores google rating and reviews!! Why the hell do people still shop here!?!?

The meat selection is incredible, and they're pizza's are out of this world!!! Piled high with ingredients from center to the edge!! Julie was so helpful and friendly and went out of her way to guide us through the store!!( she makes the pizza's too!! ) So to sum it up, this place is the best hands down!! A must stop in your travels!!!

I drive an hour and 15 minutes once a month to buy from the store. Amazing beef jerky, beef sticks and all other products. The additional 5% discount for having a Carry conceal permit is a great bonus.

My wife and I stop in every once in while on our way to our lake property. The staff are great and very helpful. The store is clean and bright. The cheese and meats we have purchased over time have been very good.

Purchased 1/4 beef a short time ago. It didn't take long to get the meat, but when we picked it up there was much less than there should have been and what we got was very fatty. We were told 3.49 a pound hanging weight, and got less than 100# of meat. When we weighed the meat at home and calculated what we ended up paying per pound it was about $8 a pound. We also purchased a pork bundle, which was advertised on their sign out front to be $50 but when we asked about one they said oh it's changed to $65. Do you still want it? We agreed, but it's definitely misleading advertising. The sign still says $50 for a pork bundle, even weeks later. Will most likely not be back again, especially after seeing how many responses to these ratings are aggressive and rude.

Editing my previous review after a resolution was reached.Pros:-Our pick up experience was really pleasant. The owner was so kind to our kids, taking extra time to teach them about some of the animals hanging on the wall.-She helped me to my car and assisted me in loading my meat.-We picked up some jalapeno sticks and they were incredible.Cons:-Communication & organization. Once we realized we netted only 43% of our hang weight on our half beef, we called to try to get it sorted out. We were told we’d receive a call back but never did. (We eventually got things worked out with the help of our farmer.)In the end, we were able to reach a resolution to get the meat we paid for, but the whole thing was way harder than it needed to be. If you choose to go here, I’d check your order carefully and mention any issues before leaving.

If I could give them zero stars I would. We took our venison in to them for processing January. We have not received anything. They give us a song and dance about having a hard time casings and that they are on orders in the 1400's. We are 1625. They have been saying this for months! I don't think they have our venison any longer, I think they used it up and now can't fulfill our order. We are at our wits end. I reported them to better business bureau and got nowhere. We aren't even sure if they will give us our money back (we had to pay half up front) or our venison. Please don't waste your time with this place. We took our remaining venison to Bavaria and had it back in 3 mos.

This was7 week nightmare. Asked for a 1/2 hog. To be picked up with a 1/2 of beef.said ok. Got there no hog. I can understand this. Was told 2more weeks. Over 2weeks went by. I called and owner was hollering that I cussed at her employee which didn't happen then she said 10 days. 2 more weeks went by nothing. I called again. She said she was putting it together as we speak. She said Ground pork could not be done till Monday I said ok. Went to pick it up Saturday morning got there and nothing the b**** flat out lied. I did get my deposit back. Never again. THIS IS HOW A 4YEAR CUSTOMER gets treated?

Thank Goodness Margie got there right in time, because I was having a mildly terrible time before her. They have a great selection of meats and if you need something that's not out, just ask!I see why their rating is low tho.. the old lady that was at the register is VERY unpleasant. Definitely driving customers away. I almost walked out without purchasing anything because she was sooo rude. Terrible for business. I know they are short staffed, but I don't think she's helping anything.

We love this place and drive 90 miles about every 6 weeks to stock up. The lamb is fantastic, gyro meat, marinated chicken. Everything is amazing! The corned beef was the best I ever had. I would put that against any NY deli! This is worth the trip. The owner is fantastic as well!

My husband and I heard a lot about the Johnsons Sausage Shoppe! We were in town so we decided to stop by. We were impressed the minute we walked in the door. We sampled some delicious bratwurst and shopped around the store. Amazed to see a large variety of fresh cut meat, and they also have a variety of alcoholic beverages. The owner was there, she has a great personality and her service was top-notch. The staff was knowledgeable and courteous. We definitely recommend you to visit "Johnsons Sausage Shoppe"

This is the second year that I have taken my deer into their ship to be processed. They have some of the best customer service around. I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of their sausage and their butchers know the proper way to cut meat.

I would NEVER use them again! So many issues… biggest one being that we didn’t get nearly enough meat back. (now seeing other reviews, this seems to be a common problem from them) The lady I talked to was extremely rude! My husband also talked to the same lady a week earlier and she told him he needs to get off of the bathroom scale with the meat and we got all of it back.

Booked our beef with them back in April only to have our date pushed back 3 times. Them today the owner calls and says they can’t fit us in but they are doing venison. She went on to tell me that they make more money off of venison than beef. Definitely not good business people or people if there word. Could have gone else where this spring but they they assured us they could fit us in

Our first experience was fairly good because we were notified when our meat was done. The second time our meat was processed there we were not contacted when it was done. Apparently that was our fault because after calling to inquire about our meat we were treated very rudely from that point on. The only exception was the very nice guy that helped me load my car. Customer service needs to be a higher priority.

I have been processing my deer at Johnson’s since 2018 and have always had a great experience. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and they offer a lot options for wild game processing as well as in their store. I highly recommend stopping in and giving them a try.

Dont let Johnsons anywhere near your deer! After almost 4 weeks my customer got his cape back. ROTTEN! It was brought into Johnsons 3 hours after the shot and quick recovery. You should be ashamed charging $60 go cape out deer and let them rot at your facility!
