I wish that I could give negative stars but it’s not an option unfortunately. going into Menards today there was zero handicap shopping carts available so I asked an employee if maybe one was available somewhere else and they said no that they only had one. Handicap people need to shop too! As big as Menards is, they should have more than two or one handicap accessible cart!!! Do Better

Their store brand products are absolute junk, the little you pay for them is a complete loss. Other than that, about on par for a big box home improvement store. New to the area and used to more options, but this is about the same as all the others.

I asked in Store to help me get my Rebate. They refused. They said I had to contact the Rebate center so much for being helpful. I guess I'll turn it over to an attorney.

My dad purchased a 2340 battery from here and brought it home only to put it in the radio and the radio says it was a low battery. He exchanged it. Brought it home and it did the same thing. So we brought it back just wanting the money back. He had both receipts from the exchange and from the original purchase but they stated that because it was done as an exchange that he can only have store credit because the computer did not recognize the first purchase with cash. WHAT?!!!!!!! You have the original receipt. And mind you the battery was only $4.10. But What?!!!!! Needless to say I was thinking You can keep it cause I will never shop here again. I asked Dad what he wanted to do and he took the paper credit slip, ripped it up in their face and said, “you can keep it we will never be back here again. “ Go Dad, Go!!!! Mind you dad is in his 70’s and is on a limited income. Is this how you treat your customers let alone the elderly? Wow!!!!!This happened on 5/20/2023 between 6:45 and 6:55 PM.

Drove an hour after calling to make sure they had 16ft. Roofing in stock. I was told by the desk they had 28 sheets. Drove down only to find out they only had 10, 7 of which were damaged beyond repair. The manager I assume behind the construction desk offered no solution or substitution other than color with not so much as a sorry for your inconvenience. You would think being a staple in the community they would hire qualified management. So after the whole ordeal in rice lake I called superior menards. Roofing was in stock and yard workers even helped me load them. Maybe the rice lake management team should take a road trip to superior to see how a store is run with quality managers in place they could probably learn what costumer service should be like.

I would have gave no stars.When you buy something on debt card it’s as good as cash.But when you return it it’s not cash anymore and they will only return it to your debt card or in store credit of course.In store credit is a joke.Their mail rebates are a joke also.It’s all about the extra profit they make off of us.I have to wait for 2 hours before it goes back on my card.How about I pay 2 hours after I buy something from here.That would not work would it.But it’s the same thing.Customer service is very rude.

3/8/24 9:30amYou need to tell Josie that instead of gabbing with the guy in line in front of us about basketball when there are only 3 lines open and more than 3 people in line at each register with big orders that she needs to open a register as there are contractors in line purchasing items for emergency jobs that don't have all day. Sucks to watch her gab while we are making Menards money to pay her. I hope she's not a manager!

Employees constantly sit in one of the two toilet stalls playing on their phones for 15+ minutes at a time. Really awesome when customers are down to only one toilet!!Also, you're a dang building supply store, how hard is it to put a divider between the two urinals you have?? Nobody wants to get splashed or peripherally see the guy next door shaking it.Your bathroom is an embarrassment and is so small I'd expect it in a harbor freight or small pet store, not a giant building!

Let's see, a 7' 2 x 4 was 5/8" long. A 12' 2x8 was 3/4" long. A 10' 2x4 was 7/8 long. It was not just one 90% of the material was wrong! Manager said oh so sorry. My thoughts are go to Home Depot. Had a 28' wall built that had to be taken apart. Oh so sorry.

The ladies at the customer service desk are always very rude to deal with. I’ll drive extra to go the next town with menards so I don’t have to deal with them anymore. Dirty looks, speak rude, snappy. My day gets ruined every time I have to deal with them. I have half the notion to stop shopping at menards all together.

Had a fabulous experience with Lynn, I believe the current assistant manager in the paint department. She actually had first hand experience with various products, was very helpful and friendly. Lynn gets 10 stars. I saw her days later and she asked how the project went = thoughtful!

I was traveling through rice lake and stopped here for some things. After leaving and arriving home (over an hours drive), I had realized the cashier never put one of the bags back into the cart. I understand that mistakes happen. I called the store asking if they still had it. They did. I asked if I could have the credit for the items transferred to a closer store to me or a refund, but since I used my payroll, apparently neither was an option because of “store policy”. That left me with two options, drive there and back, wasting my time and gas or eating the cost because of someone else’s negligence. That policy is a big fat joke and I will not be shopping at any other Menards stores that are not local to me. Biggest waste of time and money.

Usually has the items we need. Friendly staff. Parking can be chaotic if people aren't paying attention. Bathrooms are not always the cleanest. Prices are a bit high, I get it inflation. Still cringe at the price. The sales pricing aren't even enough.

One major problem here is that they only have 2 power mobility shopping scooters. .... and those are in very bad mechanical condition. Sometimes they function, but, most of the time they stop while using it.

Check in at the guard shack at the right side of the building. He’ll direct you to park in a specific area in the back. There’s lines for the trucks to park in for the off loading process. Quick and easy

There was a nice selection of potting soil and garden supplies. There were clerks available throughout the store, which was clean and well stocked. The check out lines were running smoothly and only 1-2 customers waiting for each line..........we went back again today. Nice chrysanthemums outside, still pretty clean and well stocked.

Extremely busy. Some "free after rebate " items were sold out. Blind and drapery department is very helpful. Great variety of in stock items. Employees were plentiful and immediately available to assist with questions. We'll be back soon.

Have a good selection of many different items. Prices are good and enjoy getting the 11% off when offered! Love their garden center in the summer and holiday seasonal items all year round. Great kid toys!

A terrible place but its a necessity unless you have a better option close by. If you can even find help, it wont be from someone knowledgeable, and they wont be nice about it. Quality of products is often very poor (lumber, Dakota products, Patriot lighting) and returns can sometimes be an absolute hassle. I do take advantage of their rebate program though and it does help keep the costs down.

Craig, the salesperson in the lumber department, helped us so much! He was very knowledgeable and made suggestions to help solve a problem we had.Another male employee, JON, worked in hardware. Although not familiar with the item/product we were looking for TOOK THE TIME to look it up and walked us to the section and found it! He was very friendly and curtious.I think this was the BEST customer service ever at Menards!!!We visited Menards again yesterday and once again saw Jon, and ONCE AGAIN, his customer service/guest relations were OUTSTANDING! Thanks Jon from Hardware! 😀

Won't Price Match. Same heater was almost 100 dollars cheaper on multiple big chain websites. Wasted 40 min of my time driving asumming Menards would price match big chain stores. Instead I got some snarky response from customer service that they already have the lowest sale prices. I ended up ordering it online, saved almost a hundred bucks and got free shipping. Always shop around online first, especially in rural areas where the only big chain store thinks they are top dog.

Poor customer service, the rebate system is a joke! I will take the hour drive to HOME DEPOT to have better customer service and spend my money happily with people that care for my business! And that don’t have a gimmick of rebate offers that only make it to where you still have to spend those “savings” back into their store. Total joke when it comes to the rebate portion of this place! Every time I’ve been to this store I get the worst customer service ever! The store director did take care of me father my complaint! But then came back into the store to deal with the just plain rude employees that don’t care about their jobs! With the exception of very few. Must be an hiring issue or training or both! Even Walmart has better customer service than this place!

I have been in 3 or more stores and they are all laid out the same. It is easy to find stuff. I needed a headlamp for my truck, no problem finding it. Reasonable stock on hand. Good lumber supply. However no Dewalt tools :-(

I ordered online, and went to pick it up. I got a message that it was ready to be picked up. Great I thought, then comes the directions, you can pick up by going through the gate and into the yard or go into the store. Nothing more. Seeing as what I had to pick up was a small package, I decided I would go in, thinking like most stores I would just have to go upfront and tell them I was here to pick up the order and someone would bring it to me. Yeah, no I had to walk all the way to the opposite back corner of the store to pick it up, then as I am walking by check out I get told I have to stop there so they can double check that it was done right and taken out of the computer. What the heck. First I have a bad knee, second arthritis, it hurts to walk that far, third a bad back so stopping to double check things cramps up the pain even more. If I had known before going in what a fricken hassle this was, I would have just went in and bought it myself, or gone to the gate, where I didn't have to walk. Menards made ordering online a huge process it didn't need to be. Especially, when what I ordered was tape and a tape gun. Ridiculous! My advice don't order anything online from Menards unless it is a big order which makes sense to use the lumber yard gate. Because if it is small enough for you to walk in and pick up you might as well just shop for yourself it will be quicker and you won't have to walk through the entire store and check out twice.

I would like to thank John( from home and gardens department) almost on his 3 year anniversary of working here and Logan ( working outside in lumber) second day on job. They went above and beyond to help me today. I am so grateful for both of them. Thank you again both of you.
