We keep saying we won't come back. Unfortunately it's one of the few places to get food in the area. Without exaggeration, every time we go here, we order something that is apparently out. (Wings, cheese curds, burgers) very staple items. There are four of us. That's four different orders, yet something always happens. Since they opened back up, we have stopped about seven times. And seven times, have been disappointed. This will be the last time we stop.

Stayed there while on business. Older, but cozy. Arguably the cleanest room I have stayed in, and I travel every week all over Wisconsin! I had dinner one night in the restaurant and even though the freezers went down overnight, they managed to still make one of the very best burgers I have ever had. All the staff were so friendly. Have stayed here in the past and will go back again in the future!

The rooms were clean and nice, and I definitely would stay there again. Three stars is just being honest. It's not a luxurious high end room that costs $500/night. It was clean, comfortable and I definitely would stay there again and would recommend you stay here too.The best part of this place is the restuarant. Fantastic food. I lived in Chicago for 20 years and have been to plenty of steak houses there. Arguably, I had the best steak I've ever had, better than any I've had at places like Ruth Chris, Morton's, Gibson's, RPM, Tango Sur, etc and better yet it was reasonably priced. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection, and served with a side of sauces that weren't even necessary. They've also had live music on the nights I've been there. So if you're in the area looking for a nice place to stay, or great place to eat, I highly recommend stopping here!Food & drinks: The food and service are absolutely the reason I'd return here!

I wanted to love this place but was disappointed. Went here for dinner a few weeks ago with my Husband and 5 kids. My Daughter and I both ordered a fish fry. Neither of us received a dinner roll or soup/salad (I believe the menu stated that was included with our dinner) our fish was also served with no tartar sauce and we weren't offered any. So I paid $18 for a piece of fish and some mashed potatoes. Although I will say the burger my other daughter ordered was very good and the fries were good also.

I had a few orders that werent great (first 2 times we went but they were busy and it was late and fyi I'm also really picky) but the last 2 times we went, l Loved the garlic burger! And the stuffed pumpkins. The owners are awesome. And I definitely recommend going to eat here and definitely try the garlic burger or if your lucky chef Dan's stuffed pumpkins.

Camp 28 is clean, simple, and very well priced. The staff is friendly and makes you feel like a friend they haven't seen in a long time as soon as you walk in the door.It is not fancy, but the bed is clean, the sheets smell like they were freshly washed and the bathrooms were clean in the room and the restaurant. The food at the restaurant was good, and the price was unbeatable. I had the grilled chicken sandwich, added bacon and paid 8 dollars with a cup of coffee. They only offer breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, but their lunch hours start early. The views from the hotel and restaurant are beautiful with Rib Lake right across the road.I stayed overnight on my way to Ice Age Trail.I would stay here again and I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a home-like stay.

Let me start out by saying that the new owners have really made a huge difference. The rooms are great, the food is absolutely amazing. I had the full slab of the pork ribs and let me tell you, one of the best I've ever tasted. They have their own smoker outside and back. Dan the chef, dude in the picture I will include, really out does himself to make every meal perfect for the customer. I would also like to mention Dan the chef is very proud of his work as he should be. Please get to camp 28 in rib lake Wisconsin. Have your meal, you will not regret it! The bartenders are amazing too. Always have you in mind!

I’m a travel nurse who has stayed here for the last 6 weeks. This has been a wonderful experience. Everyone is so friendly and helpful from the owners, to the restaurant staff, bartenders, and housekeepers. Very clean accommodations. Food is always good at the restaurant. Great drinks at the bar. The view of the lake is gorgeous. Highly recommended!

Best food around, the ribs are phenomenal as an appetizer or a meal, the camp burger may be the best burger I’ve ever had, the gluten free camp bbq pizza (if they have it for those allergic) is incredible too. Can’t forget some chili to warm up with and a point root beer on tap with some wild turkey to wash it all down. Love having this place in town!

Camp 28 is an absolute bright spot in Northern Wisconsin. I've come here pretty regularly over the last 15 years, and the new owners are knocking it out of the park!! The food, the drinks, the service, and the welcoming and honest atmosphere are brilliant. Come here!!!!!

Food was very good. I had the cod dinner with chicken enchilada soup. There was a minor mishap with my meal, the kitchen sent two peices of fish instead of three. They sent me an additional two peices (total of 4) to make up for it. Service was wonderful.

Camp 28 has been redone, and is far better than when I was last there a few years ago. We stopped in on a quiet Thursday afternoon, and I had what might have been the best pot roast I've ever had at a restaurant. The walleye was also outstanding, and there was an excellent selection of beers, with several local ones on tap. Highly recommended.

Very pleasant dining experience Andria, our waitress was super helpful. The history of Camp 28 and the lumber company of rib Lake was very interesting as my wife and I enjoyed going around the restaurant reading and looking at all the pictures. The shrimp was excellent, great soup and decent pasta

Excellent food, excellent service. Not what you’d expect in a tiny north woods town. Food was cooked how I wanted, flavor was great. They make a white bbq sauce that is exquisite. Definitely unexpected.
