This is a little Ace. We looked up what we wanted online and it said it was in stock. So we went to the store and it was not in stock. The employees are like hound dogs. As soon as you walk through the door. If I need help I can see you staring at me and I will ask... If you let me wander around I will probably buy more..lol

Called to see if they service Stihl chainsaws. Told yes. “Licensed tech on site”. Could drop off today (Thursday) to have it fixed Friday. So I took the saw in only to be told the technician wouldn’t be in until next Wednesday. Wow. That’s real customer service!

I've never really believed "ACE is the place with the..." etc., but my experience over the last few days prompted me to make this post. I had a shallow well problem that needed a repair. I had a sense of what was needed, did research on the Internet - YouTube, etc. - and basically figured out what was required. The first gentleman at Ace (apologize, but I forget his name) was very helpful, understood what I was looking for and got me to the part (same price as Home Depot which couldn't guarantee they had the part in stock - Ace did). Bought it and needed to come back the next day for a bad hose which also needed replacement. The first gentlemen led me to Mike who listened, understood my lack of knowledge (and didn't make me feel like a jerk) and provided some tutoring on what I needed to do. Bottom line: after four attempts at the repair, I got it done with their products and kindly support. To me, in 2021 (maybe anytime) this means a lot; I thank them and appreciate having their service and support. Thank you Ace!

I am a forestry professional. I recently dropped off a Stihl pro model chainsaw for repairs at this store as I didn’t have time to do it myself. A week later I called to check on the status of the saw and was told that no progress had been made and that he might get around to it next week. Furthermore, the conversation I had with the technician led me to believe he did not actually understand what was going on with the saw or the parts that it needed. I instructed him that I would have a friend pick up the saw so that I could have the work done elsewhere. The saw was returned in a box in about a dozen pieces, and the technician did not include the bar or chain. I would strongly discourage anyone from having repairs done at this store.

High prices, pretty good selection, clueless staff. As long as you know exactly what you want and don't mind searching for a while, they seem to have nearly anything you want. Don't make the mistake of asking the staff for anything unless you enjoy being talked down to while being shown every thing except what you are looking for. There a couple of other options for hardware in Rhinelander, though they are both big box stores. I hate to do so, but I recommend either of them over Trgs Ace.

After waiting over a month to have my stihl chainsaw serviced and not getting a call back I called them and they said they would not stand behind the warranty because they blamed me. Why buy local when they don't stand behind there products.

Awful!!!! We took our patio door screen in to Ace in Rhinelander 6 weeks ago for repair. They said repair would be done in 1 week and they would call us. We called 2 weeks later and they said they didn't get to it. Promised by next week. Every time we called for update, the male answering the phone was crabby and rude. The last time we called, we asked if it would be done for sure within the week and he said, "I'm not promising you anything" so we went and picked it up. Took it to True Value in Lake Tomahawk and it was repaired in 24 hours!!!
