Absolutely amazing place and people! We got two guinea pigs there last week. Ginny was a surrender, and Tigger the little boy. Everybody was so nice and helpful. It’s obvious they care about the animals in there. They both are doing very well, playing with their guinea siblings we brought them home to 😊

Awesome selection of all types of healthy and well cared for animals. Very knowledgeable and kind staff.Customer service was unlike any other! I Was always being offered help and they were generous enough to take out some of the reptiles and tell us all about them to ensure we picked the right type for us! A very large and unique selection of accessories and decor for all of your small pet needs. Came home with 3 new additions to the family and will be returning!

Great place for Dubai roaches and other essentials for fish, cats, dogs, and many more!! Great deals too!The employees are super helpful with tips for beginners on just about anything to do with animals. All in all I'm probably going to buy from here more often than any other place!!

My son purchased his first gecko there. The employees were very helpful and informative. That was 4 years ago. Since then we've visited multiple times when we visit family near by. They are always very friendly and it's evident they take excellent care of all creatures they sell.

Wonderful experience, had the most amazing staff, particularly a gentleman that specialized in cornsnakes I should’ve asked the name of.Love my beautiful pink toe tarantula I came home with.Love the selection they had with decent prices.Excited to make the two hour trip back 🙂

What a gem!! We love Northwoods Pets so much, and have always been able to find everything we've needed for our dog and two cats. While we don't live in the area, we visit our family and friends in Rhinelander regularly (always with the dog in tow) and appreciate the fantastic selection and service we receive at NW Pets. They also have products for reptiles, birds, small mammals (gerbils, hamsters, etc.), and much more. The staff is knowledgable and helpful -- I trust their recommendations. Can't recommend this place enough.

They actually have great dane size jackets. Walmart AND pet smart all the way in wausau didn't even have great dane sizes. Cora loves it.

The staff at Northwoods Pets are knowledgeable, friendly, and I've never seen anyone in a bad mood! It's a pleasant place to just stop by and browse, especially because they have several resident critters to see!I'm very impressed with their recent (2022?) expansion that about doubled their size and inventory. They carry everything we've needed for our pets which include rabbits, cats, guinea pigs, and a snake. They have a great selection for dogs, too, which will be important for our family, soon, we hope!

I had an awesome experience @ NW pets! Their very knowledgable sales assistant, Sarah, helped me so much! My dog had torn a nail, and I've never clipped them before. She helped me to find the best clippers & advised me so clearly on how to help my doggie @ the very start of our vacation. Thank you❣️

I went there today for some crickets and worms for my leopard gecko that I recently adopted. The gentleman that helped me was very informative and gave me some pointers for my geckos tank. Very pleased with my experience and will be a returning customer. Thank you!!!

Always love this place. I am there multiple times weekly, and the staff is always friendly and helpful.Sometimes they are out of my crickets (it happens), but they always work hard to make sure your pets remain fed until the next shipment comes in. I appreciate this team here immensely.

Recently Northwoods Pets got a new cat litter called Boxie Eco, it is fantastic! It's a natural and sustainable clumping litter. I kid you not when I say there is absolutely no dust and no perfume odors.As soon as I put it in the box one cat happily jumped in to test it before I could snap a photo. He's only been using this box now. It clumps really well without having to scrape the box, no litter stuck in paws either.Go to Northwoods Pets and pick up a bag, it's truly amazing litter.Northwoods Pets is always awesome and very helpful with all of my cats and reptiles.

Employees were friendly. Prices were decent. Live animal selections are limited, but there are some guini pigs, hamsters, birds, reptiles, snakes, tarantulas and fish.They also provide food for all animals they are selling and more.It's your basic small town pet store. I'm not sure how knowledgeable the employees are of the pets they sell, so I cannot say. I can say in the 4 times I've gone with my kids, they were always friendly and helpful!

Great store! Was looking for some food for my dog and was shown all my options. Purchased my things and the young man said “Thank you, now get out of our store.”It was 25 minutes before close so I was a little confused. Quickly dipped out because I felt awkward, probably won’t be going back if cashiers are trying to be confrontational.Weird experience, will probably just go to the other store in town.

They have a lot of pets for sale, including fish, rodents, reptiles, insects and frogs. I love their raw bar and the different dog chews they offer.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Kate assisted us with our older antique aquarium. She was super helpful and very knowledgeable. She was able to assist us with everything from filter system (our under gravel was basically obsolete) to fish food. We will definitely be returning for any of our aquarium needs.

I absolutely love this place. If there is something you need. Tell Jennifer. She will try her best to get it for you. She has an amazing variety for all kinds of animals. Pets for sale also. Get yourself a baby bearded dragon, birds, guinea pigs etc. Along with all the supplies they need. ❤️❤️

This place is amazing! Surprisingly big, very knowledgeable and friendly staff, a wide variety of well cared for pets (they are always bringing in new exotic pets and I love all of them). They have everything that you could possibly need to care for your critters. We go there all the time and look forward to getting fresh food for the reptiles almost as much as the lovely conversation.
