I had the opportunity to experience a Porch Pot workshop that Second Nature facilitated for us at my place of employment. The owners of our company gifted each one of us not only a spot to participate in this experience but the finished product we were able to bring home and enjoy during the holiday season. It was the best 90 minutes! It was not only extremely enjoyable but it was a small moment in time where I didn't have to think but simply create! It was a chance to unplug from the noises and chaos of reality that surrounds us and embrace the simplicity and quite times that can still be found if we take the time to look for them. This workshop was well led, a variety of diverse supplies were provided, music was playing, and it was a relaxed environment where laughter and camaraderie was enjoyed. I LOVED this event and already look forward to doing this again! We are so lucky to have such a great business in our area who goes and above and beyond your typical nursey. Thank You!

We had a wonderful time making our Christmas decor. The atmosphere and delicious hot chocolate and Christmas music was so enjoyable and relaxing. I loved spending time with my family and friends, while creating something beautiful. The professional advice made all the difference. Everybody was so nice and helpful. I purchased a gift certificate for my Grinch-loving husband. It was a wonderful class to create a Grinchy Christmas tree. The instructor was extremely helpful, all supplies were included, and the selection of decorations was endless. Great job Second Nature!

I attended the Deck the Halls Table Arrangement Workshop, and it was amazing. Second Nature provided everything they advertised and MORE! I learned a lot! The staff was helpful, knowledgeable and FUN! I found lots of great items in their gift shop, but I didn't feel any pressure to buy anything. Thanks Second Nature for an awesome experience!!

Second Nature has helped me in the past with our flower garden beds around our new house and are now helping me with another couple flower garden beds. They know their plants and are helpful with design and selection and implementation. They work hard and do a great job. What a gorgeous and serene escape! My family and I recently attended the Gem and Fossil event and were blown away. The staff could not have been more kind and the kids had a blast looking for gems, fossils, and rocks, while also learning important skills for future adventures in nature ❤️❤️

I brought my family to the Gem and Fossil Find last month. We found many different stones and gems. The children used the rope swing by the swimming area. The Flint Knapper were very interesting to listen to and they gave the children an arrow head. We all had ice cream because Ice Cream on 14 had a truck there. i have shopped here a few times, always spending too much money because they are expensive. but i thought they were cool because they have educational events & community events.in my opinion, the best part about the nursery is the creek (when the water is high.)my main issue is that the owner hired me, sight unseen, and then at the orientation he apparently? decided he didn't like me? anyhoo. the owner told me he would call me to schedule me in. he never called. he just blew me off.no explanation. no "sorry this isn't going to work out"he just left me hanging.it would be one thing if i didn't need the job, but i did desperately need the job. and i was super excited about it. i love plants so much & have a lot of experience/knowledge about plants & gardens. i was really looking forward to working there.plus i have four kids & no income.i don't know why the owner didn't like me. i suspect it is because i have an "alternative" appearance & he is ultra christian & conservative. after i wasn't scheduled in, a friend (whose ex had worked there) told me that the owner is "a republican a**hole."so maybe that's it?i will not be shopping there again.Service: Gardening services

I discoved this nursery in the middle of the summer and have purchase three rose bushes and a couple of fruit trees. Love the gift shop too with the beautiful chandelier. The unique piece is going down to the crystal clear river and just soaking in the beauty of the valley. Wish I lived just around the corner to soak it all in more frequently. Super nice staff.

From the perennials, to the gift shop, to the tree lot, even the windy entrance makes this the place you'll want to come back to time and again. The people there are caring and helpful, and will do their best to get you exactly what you are looking for, even if you are unsure of what you need. Whether you're out on a mission looking for that one special plant, or just a casual afternoon of relaxing and fun, Second Nature at Reads Creek is the place to go. Need a break from the sun? Stop in the gift shop, where there is plenty of creative and cool stuff, and a good majority of it is handmade too. If you're feeling adventurous, there are trails to explore and the namesake of the nursery, Reads Creek, which is rarely seen without at least one trout fisherman in it. If you've never been, take a day off and spend some time in nature. "Worthy Plants...Worth the Drive"
