I'm genuinely amazed how hard working people are making this place so great that you want to keep coming back!The food is always great. The menu here is full of various flavors. More than you would expect. Our favorite fish to classic Italian options of tasty pastas and more. Outdoor patio seating is the luxury of best driftless area views of the valley and hills. Amazing food and proportions! Lots of choices on the menu. Service was good. Owner even came say and chatted with us. Clean facility. We sat outside on patio at sunset, it was lovely. Landscape was very inviting. Great place. Must check out!Parking: Lots of parking. Even electric charging station out front.

Staying In viroqua for the weekend and we got into town Saturday a little later and a lot of places were closing soon and I wanted to sit outside so we drove back to this place that we passed on the way. Place is pretty hoppin’. Got a seat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view while we waited for our food. Service and food were good. I would definitely go back to this place if I’m ever in town again. But I’m sure she gets pretty busy.

Nice place to stop if you're in the area. Service was good, food was tasty. I asked for the wrap as a salad and they added some extras to it. I stopped for the charging station but was pleased by the cafe. The broiled shrimp was excellent!Dietary restrictions: They don't have much on the menu for gluten-free, but they can make a wrap into a salad if you ask.

The food is pretty darned good in general. I had the ribs on my most recent visit. They had a couple chewy bites, but just into the ribs they really were easily pulling apart and great. The salad bar looks small, but there are a surprising amount of options there.Inside is clean and presentable. There are a couple rooms for dining in the bar area, and another sole eating area, maybe for a more quiet experience, or perhaps when they are filled up.My wife loves outside here, they have a wonderful patio area. It’s a gated area which is nice, our two year old could run around and happened to not bother anyone. The view is memorable. A deer ran through the field near the end of our dinner.Possibly the best part of it all was our server, Susan. I’ve been here probably a half a dozen times in the past year or so, and any time we get Susan it’s like being pampered. She’s not just there to take your order and give you your food. My wife asked for a bottled water, which they didn’t have, and Susan gave us one of her own personal waters. My son pushed my salad plate and it flipped into my lap, she was there in about 10 seconds with a rag, and she pulled up another table to make more space (so he couldn’t reach any more food). It just really feels like she wants you to have a good time there. on another trip, I’m pretty sure I remember her bringing out some cookies for our son to try, which we don’t give him cookies, but I asked for one and she gave me some :)I can confidently say, you are in good hands while you have her as your server, not to discount the other servers, but she has, time and time again, really been a star.

We showed up with a group of 6 adults and 2 high chairs. They were short staffed and could have easily turned us away, however they smiled and were more than happy to work us in. The waitress was so nice and you could tell she loved her job! She was super sweet in putting up with our silly Illinoisan request and questions lol. The drinks are very good! I had no idea that Bloody Mary's come with a beer chaser in some areas 👍🏻👍🏻. The food was amazing and will definitely be back again next year!!

Those onion rings are the BEST ever! Lightly breaded and super crisp, they are ringy perfection to me. The burger (which I split with my mom) was good, too (especially the bread) and the fries were fine. The bloody Mary is pretty good as well, though I wish it had a salt rim of some sort.If you're travels bring you to Readstown, be sure to make a stop at this place!Parking: Parking lot right outside.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access available.

Stopped at this hidden gem on a whim as we were from out of town. First night had ribs and steak and scallops. Cheese curds hand breaded and perfect. Entrees and Salads were great. Went back next night and had broiled cod and broasted chicken. Seafood chowder and coleslaw was some of finest I’ve ever had. Dinners again were over the top We’ll be moving to area and will definitely be back!!

What an absolutely amazing bookstore! Housed in an early-20th century tobacco warehouse, the shelves and stacks stretch and sprawl to fill the cavernous space. The selection of books is excellent (although I wouldn't have minded a slightly larger SF/Fantasy section 😉), and I could have spent hours browsing and reading in one of the many overstuffed chairs and couches. The owner was very engaging and friendly, and let each of my kids pick out a kids book for free. And if that wasn't enough, they sell tea and WiscoPop to keep you limber as you browse; furthermore, they host live local music 2-3 nights a week! I may just retire early and move to Viroqua...

We ordered two of the specials and boy were they a disappointment. It came with just one trip through their salad bar. The salad bar was lacking and the ranch tasted off. I had ordered the Sunday chicken special which was broasted chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing. The stuffing came with gravy on it and I soon realized they did that to try and cover how old and dry it was. Even with gravy on it, it was way too old and dry to choke down. The mashed potatoes were ok but my chicken wasn’t as warm as it should’ve been. My husbands lasagna special was old, meat was dry and hard, and the middle was cold. It was definitely microwaved which was gross and annoying for being a special and the garlic was old and gross. My daughter ordered the kids salad bar and was so disappointed at how little was on it and how bad the ranch was so she didn’t eat. My son ordered a burger and fries and the fries were cold and yucky as well. We will never go back with how bad the food was and how high the prices were. Won’t ever recommend to anyone.

I had the broasted chicken ( which is lighted breaded fried chicken) & mashed potatoes, my husband had the pulled pork baked potato & my daughter had the buffalo Mac and cheese (AMAZING says my kid)Everything was good! Well cooked and flavorful, American yumminess... on a country road on the way to Minnesota. Friendly people.
