On December 21st my dog was badly injured while in the care of Pet U of Racine, please see attached photos.I was contacted by my vet about the incident and when I stopped by to check on my dog I found her badly injured.  My wife, we’re currently in process of divorce, put the dog at Pet U without my permission even though we’re both owners. The Pet U wouldn’t release the dog to me since I wasn’t on the list provided by my wife.  I stopped by the next day to check on the dog and was denied access to it.Today I contacted Pet U again, specifically Abbie Wilson, general manager to obtain the report how the incident happened and what steps are taken to prevent something similar in the future.  I was very polite and was trying to obtain information since I can’t trust this place with my dog and instead I was reported to police.Seems very clearly the place doesn’t care about the well being and safety of the animals, very unprofessional.  I wouldn’t trust them and stay away from this place for the sake of your pet. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture.

We love PetU Racine! We have tried other daycares, but the care and structure PetU provides is superior. They are a hidden gem that we learned about through a recommendation. We are glad we switched. We’ve been there for two years now. We’ve used their Board and Train services, weekly daycare, bathing and for vacation boarding. Our lab knows the days he is supposed to go to daycare and stalks us until we take him! We recommend PetU all the way around.

This is the best place for dogs! The staff, trainers, and handlers will love and care for your "love" the way you do. They make each pet owner feel special, answer questions with patience and expertise, and help pets and their owners become confident together.The dogs love it here! I haven't seen any dog lack enthusiasm about coming in. They all run up to the door excitedly wagging their tails and vocalizing their joy for Pet University. It's funny to see but makes you feel good about the care you know they are receiving.Try PetU. I've never regretted my decision. The PetU crew is a major part of my family!

I brought my 2-year-old hound mix, Cherry, for board and train. When I rescued her, she didn’t know any commands and I didn’t everything I could. But this girl was making it her life mission to rip my arm out on every walk and simply wouldn’t listen at all.The night before I brought her, I called crying, thinking I’m the worst dog mom in the world, and Cici listened to me so patiently and reassured me.I have to say … the trainers are amazing!!!!! Cici and Marissa worked with her so much and withstood Cherry’s temper tantrums. After 3ish weeks of their training and hard work, they have literally transformed my Cherry. I can walk her peacefully (and keep my body intact), she sits, comes, goes to “place”, rarely barks at other dogs, and is just all around SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!I couldn’t be more grateful for Cici, Marissa, and Pat. They are awesome and I highly recommend the board and train!

Great place for your dog.-------------------------Our Jake visits the day care center once a week and is still eager to go, even almost one year in. It shows me that they treat him well. The staff is friendly.

My Jacki-Pooh loves this place and classmates. Always walks through the door with eyes eager and tail wagging. He says five stars always for every one of his countless stays! I love the complimentary bath he gets before pickup! Hands down the BEST in the Racine area. -Hannah-

My dog and I love PetU. My big Lab goes to daycare twice a week and gets baths frequently. The staff is kind and happy and seem to really love all the dogs they care for. At home my dog recognizes the names of his dog 'pals' and gets so excited because he knows he's going to go to daycare and see them. :)

Every experience we've had with the workers here have been wonderful! They are so kind and you can tell how much they truly care about you and your dog! My timid boy has really been able to open up with them and the environment they set up, he now gets excited to go stay with them! Highly recommend PetU Racine

PetU Racine is so awesome. The folks that work their love our dog, and our dog show it when he comes home! The employees are very watchful, and learn about what each doggie needs. They are insanely friendly. No stress coming in or going home. They also are top notch at grooming! We haven’t taken classes there yet, but I have no doubt they would be filled with knowledge that could enhance the relationship with your good boys and girls.10 stars!

An amazing place filled with wonderful people! Don’t think twice about bringing your pup(s) here where they will be loved and taken care of like family. Not to mention stellar customer service as well as staff constantly educating and wanting what is best for BOTH you and your pup. Training classes are top tier and all services are fairly priced. Our husky has been going to PetU since she was 12 weeks old and they have been absolutely amazing with her (even though she can definitely be a challenge at times)! We cannot imagine sending her anywhere else.

I should have left a review a long time ago… I took my rescue dog here for training. He is my first dog and I don’t believe in negative reinforcement training and I didn’t take my dog back to training for a long time because of this place. I can not remember the name of the trainer but he put my dog on a 20foot lead and when my dog jumped and barked at the window because a bunch of dogs from doggy day care ran by he pulled the lead with all his might and made my dog fly away from the window and somersault across the room. I couldn’t believe it. I unfortunately didn’t say anything just finished the training that day and left. We didn’t go back. I never thought to leave a review for them until I just recently saw an ad for them on Facebook. I’m upset I wasn’t an advocate for my dog that day. Especially him being a rescue dog. And I’m upset I didn’t speak up to that trainer. If you have to use violence and fear to train a dog that isn’t training and it isn’t obedience.

Im glad i made an appointment to have my older pup assessment there to bring her to doggy daycare to see where she fits in, they offer 1/2 or full days Monday thru Friday, while there I was able to look around and seen they offer training and dog treadmill when there boarded for exercise, they have a great selection of leashes and collars, treats and toys, I was impressed how reasonably priced they were and many less then Amazon for the exact item, a shelf of dog food also, I could see the play area that had different sections for different categories of dogs, I was also impressed how clean this place was and knowledgeable staff, I'm glad I choose them and expect I will be for a long time, if I get a good feeling and service somewhere I go all out to explain why.UPDATE: I took my GSD for half day doggy daycare and she loved it, came home and layed around for awhile, I've already set another daycare with a brush out they do for 30 minutes, I'll do the bath and de-shedding here in the spring

I brought my dog Milo who is a Pitbull/Boxer mix here when he was 8 months old. He’s a good dog but very energetic and it was hard to get Milo to focus and calm down when he had to. I explained to Pat that I had some worries of these tendencies due to having a baby on the way. Although there is no guarantee with the training they definitely assured me that they would do everything in there power to train Milo as best as possible and I can say they did not disappoint. I signed Milo up through the board and train program here and every week I came to check in on Milo I saw improvements. When we brought Milo home after the program we definitely were pleased with the outcome and couldn’t be happier with entrusting Pet U to train Milo. Special thank you to Milo’s trainer Marissa and Pat who were so helpful throughout this who process!

We liked the place so much that my daughter applied to work there and got hired on the spot!! She's been working there for a week and loves it!! They are extremely clean and love all the dogs that come there!! They have grooming, boarding, daycare, training classes, and a store right in the front when you come in!! I would reccomend PetU to anyone looking for any of these amenities for their dogs!!!

Our rescue puppy needed more socialization due to her rough start in life. We took the puppy school class which helped her confidence and ours as well. Had our first daycare today and she did great. They really care about your dog and take the time to learn how your dog reacts and interacts. We plan on her to go again!

I had a consultation withTrainer Pat and asked him to be honest and he was very matter of fact and asked me what I was looking for , he was a great listener and told me what I could expect from his training sessions and what he could see I needed help with as well as what results I can expect! Cant wait to get startedI also had my dogs evaluated for Day Care as well as Boarding when needed! Great facility, even a store to shop in, they have almost everything on one site! Great staff!

Our German Shepherd, Zeus, has been attending PetU since he was a little puppy, and went to his first obedience class there. In time, he participated in their board and train program, and came home as such a well trained young man. He still goes there to day care a couple of times per week, The staff is great - all patient with dogs and knowledgeable. If there is a behavior issue, (and our boy is not perfect) that comes up, they are quick to help find solutions and work with him and us. Zeus enjoys his time there and loves the staff.

I have the convenience of dropping Gus off at any time (no advance commitment needed). The staff is friendly and accommodating, Gus LOVES it there! He's now a year old, but I know that Pet U got us through those difficult and formative puppy months by socializing him and providing much needed play time and training. He comes home and he conks right out! An exercised dog is a happy dog! And that makes for happy dog parents!

My dog was their for 2 days, 5 hours a day and they told me he couldn't come back without some training advise for $50.00.He was a skiddish rescue dog, he will not adjust well in just two days because he is afraid of new surroundings and people especially a man and some dogs because he was abused, mistreated and had to fend for himself early in life.I believe a dog can sense when he is not wanted and he doesn't trust someone .Thank you for listening

My dog loves going to Pet U in Racine! There facility is large enough for the dogs to run around outside and inside. I like that they separate the big dogs from the small dogs because my dog is 90 lbs, and even though he is sweet, he likes to play rough. I also really love the Hours they are available... 6:30am-7pm is perfect for my work schedule and Koa always comes home tired!!! 5 stars!

Pat is a great trainer. We had him for puppy class and he modifies the training for your specific dog breed. I have learned so much from this class. My dog went from a crazy uncontrollable puppy to a great companion. I owe it all to Pet U

I’ve been taking my dog Lincoln to Pet U in Racine for over a year now and have had nothing but great experiences. My dog absolutely loves going to “school” and everyone who works there is awesome! Highly recommend.
