I brought in a severely matted rescue dog. Leece, the groomer was so patient and kind. She made this matted mess into a gorgeous pup! They got us in within days of the rescue as well. The staff treats you like family the minute you walk through the door. The store and grooming areas are clean and well organized. They have a great selection of high quality pet food, treats and accessories...and even some unique items I haven't seen in other stores I highly recommend them! This store is a gem in Racine.

Laurie at Avenue Pet Shoppe made my Winston a new man! I’m always nervous about trying new groomers but she was very kind and professional. I love that they are a small locally owned store and it’s definitely reflected in the love they have for dogs. The prices were great too. Here’s a before and after photo!

Not only do they help out in the rescue community. My own personal boy SARGE goes there and gets excited when he knows he is going.They took good care of him for the fourth of July parade this year. We always get comments on how soft his fur is.The owners John & Esther are knowledgeable , friendly and very helpful. We highly recommend them.

Brought our husky in for a bath and deshedding. They called 33 minutes later to say that she was done.When I went to pick her up she was still wet and I was pulling clumps of wet, loose hair out of her coat.The receptionist was very nice and suggested that I talk to their groomer, and so we went back to speak to her and she looked at me and rolled her eyes. I tried to explain that my dog was still wet, and she said that she couldn't dry her completely because she didn't like the dryer.We have a large industrial pet dryer at home that she does well with, but I understand that animals will respond differently to different people in new environments. It's completely possible that our dog was nervous with the dryer this time. I just feel like the customer service was completely lacking.They returned my dog wet and covered in fur with absolutely no explanation and then the groomer treated me like I was bothering her for asking about it. We will unfortunately not be returning.

This place is amazing puppies smelled amazing got cute bandanas and they have their food and awesome toys cheaper than most places ive been to definately going to be my #1 stop for anything pet related!!

Wow this place was amazing. SO many different products. I highly recommend checking this place out. My dog will only eat this bakery's dog treats! They also have a variety of dog collars that are reflective!

Love it! When we got my dog he wouldn't eat his food and seemed to have allergies. I went in and talked to the man and he gave me suggestions and they worked. My big boy is no longer allergic and happy. Staff is very friendly and helpful

They did great with my dog, no other place could keep my dog still enough to cut his nails. I will continue to bring my Francisco hear. They have great customer service also and gave me great advice for my dog to get him calm and relaxed.

Great Local Pet shop, the owners are very knowledgeable and treated us with amazing hospitality. Very humble down to earth family. They give your dog a free tennis ball.. It is always good to support Locally owned businesses.

Great place for natural dog foods. They treat your dog great with grooming. They Never kennel your dog when drying them unlike those chain stores that do after bathing and grooming.

My normal place to get my dog and cat nails trimmed had an emergency and closed for drop ins. Unfortunately, I already had the furkids in the car for their manipedis. As not every place takes cats, and I had both furkids already in the car I was in a pickle. I pass Avenue Pets all the time and decided to drop in and see if they could help. Not only did they help, the owner was more than helpful. It will now be my place to take the kids for their nail trims but make a call and make sure they can accommodate. They won a new customer!

We are going to miss our favorite groomer Ms. Lori..we moved to Mississippi and now I have to search for a groomer but I know no one is going to compare to Avenue Pet Shop..This is sad so I might have to learn to cut my boys myself. Thank you Avenue Pet Shop staff from Neiko, Cooper and our Mom..

Dont know if she got it there, but I find it unusual that my beloved pet got kennel cough twice after groomings there. Denied this possibility by the staff, but will never return, nonetheless.

Very nice shop. For being a small shop, they have a good selection of natural foods and other items. I buy my dogs and cats food there.
