We loved this area for vacation. Very relaxing with the pond in the back. The person that checked us in was very nice and accommodating. He answered all our questions and helped us when we needed. There is also a great diner across the road. They close early but it's worth it. All in all, we had a wonderful vacation and will be back again to enjoy this piece of the northwoods.

I was driving all day and got tired so I stopped here, the closest place. The gentleman working at the counter was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. It's nothing fancy but definitely worth the price for just a place to get some rest before continuing on my travels. The only thing I didn't care for was that the doors to the building are not locked, so it didn't feel very secure.Rooms: Clean, comfortableSafety: The doors to the building are not locked so it didn't feel that secure.

Not my experience, but after watching a youtube video where some people were staying here (they didn't mention the name of the place, just that it was in Prentice and the only motel around). Upon opening the window the flies that came out were awful. After speaking to the manager, he offered no help and said "All the rooms have flies" Just crazy.

I was driving home from a long trip and started falling asleep behind the wheel and it was late......looked on my phone for a hotel close and this one popped up......I called the number and spoke to a gentleman on the phone and asked if they had any rooms available, which they did. I told the man that I was about 15mi away and I would be there as fast as I could and how thankful I was to be able to get a room . When I got there I went to the desk to check in......I gave him a photo I.d. and a debit card in case of damages (which there weren't going to be any of) and then pulled out a wad of cash to pay for the room......that's when he told me that THEY DONT TAKE CASH......WHAT?!?!?!? How do you not accept cash for payment???? He just kept repeating himself that no cash, no cash, we no take cash......needless to say that wasn't the outcome I was hoping for.......so I left and found a room at a nice place about another 10mi up the road that did accept cash and I went there and slept like a champ!

No one at the front desk when I stopped. Pushed button 3 times in an attempt to get them. Waited 30 min., also. I was just passing through the area and needed a room for the night.Reply to Owners' response: This would have been around 2-2:30 AM, this past Saturday(7/2/22) morning. If I am ever through the area again I may stop by for a night but very doubtful considering what I went through; so why would I want to risk it again. How can you correct it? I would hold your staff working to a much higher standard going forward, no leaving the front desk period except to use the restroom no matter how late at night it is, if a person has an issue in their room just move them and have staff submit a (work)request for the next day to have it looked at or once their relief comes in they go a address the issue in that room. 30 min. of overtime, no more. So what if that means a little overtime for them? What's more cost effective, losing the cost of a room or the overtime to correct a potential minor issue? Rooms cost more than overtime. The party that should have been at the desk that night should be put on some unpaid time off period. I wouldn't terminate them though.

Had a great time this past weekend. Two people running it were very nice and helpful The rooms were clean. If you needed extra towels they would bring it to you and the Wi-Fi works and the rooms were clean

Stayed here this past weekend for a family funeral. When we called we got our quote and booked. Once we got there we were told the manager that booked us quit, our prices changed and we didn’t get the room we booked plus WAY over charged for what we were told. I’m assuming the manager was very rude. Their WiFi doesn’t work half the time the their “breakfast” is nothing but old honey buns. We were told they aren’t serving breakfast currently since last week when the manager quit. Went and had to ring the bell to get extra towels and the manager came out in pajamas and rude as hell. Went and got me 2 towels unfolded and stained! The beds suck and the bathroom was disgusting! Toilet kept clogging , ceiling was brown and I believe mold, the shower was yellow and felt like the floor in the tub was going to break. When we went to the front desk to express our issues the manager started yelling , calling us liars for our price we were givin a week prior and not fixing our toilet. It also took a good 20 min for them to find us a room that was clean. Person next to us was hanging out his hotel window smoking and stunk to high hell. Would never recommend to anyone. Any issues you have, they do not care!!

Never again.Staff was nice. Rooms were big. That's the only positives.I made a reservation but it took the front desk a bit to find an open room as their "computer wasn't accurate". Hotel is "smoke-free" but everything but the room smelled like smoke, so all my stuff smelled like smoke.The smoke alarm in our room was beeping, instead of changing the battery they made me completely change rooms.The clock in the second room was broken. At least they delivered toilet paper (the room had none). Bedding was disgusting (stains, dirt and tiny hairs). I slept in the recliner (after wiping it down) and covered up with my jacket. Oh, and our heater in our room was broken so, 14° outside, no heat inside and covering up with a jacket. Great. Yes, I could have requested a different room, but they had such a hard time finding me a room in the first place even with a reservation I didn't want to go through the hassle again. The tub drain was half black. I am in no way a germiphobe, but...I guess maybe this is Motel vs. Hotel?

The hotel is in need of repairs but nothing to warrant not staying there. The current managers are very nice and accommodating; if something in your room doesn’t work, let them know and they will move you to a different room right away. They don’t own it and they can only work with what they’re given, they make up for what the owner doesn’t provide in resources by being friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and even the carpets were clean, I’ve stayed in other big “fancy” hotels that left your socks black if you walked on the carpet. The building is older and very well built, very soundproof so you don’t hear other guests in the hallway or above you.

Worst customer service I have ever had at any hotel. Sign at desk says push green button for service took him 10 minutes to come to the desk.08/25/2022,11:30 am.chewed me out for not coming to room down the hall from desk to get him while another female sat in room next to desk. I told him it was not my job to come chase him down to service that desk. He told me he didn’t know if he wanted to rent a room to me. His words were this is a small town we don’t have ten employees working here. This will more than likely be the last time I stay here. I even called ahead to see if I could get a room and told him I’d be in around 11 1130. Even discussed being a veteran over the phone still disrespect🤬🤬🤬

We stayed here multiple times and at first all was good other than some minor issues. The people were nice and even made me some really good soup! The last time we stayed was for 4 days straight and got accused of smoking in our room which we never had. In fact surveillance would show me going outside in the cold at 11pm and many other times to have a smoke. My clothes may have smelled of smoke but never once did we smoke in the room. The room wasn't cleaned in those 4 days so it may have smelled like my jacket. We were told that we may be charged $450 for doing something we never did. Plus they would be requiring a $100 deposit for smokers from now on. We will be spending our money in Phillips or Abbotsford from now on and would recommend others do the same or at least watch closely what you do there so you don't get a huge charge for something you didn't do.

Owners were very friendly but bedding didn't smell clean i would recommend different detergent. The fan in the bathroom was removed and never replaced and the the ceiling in the shower looked like it could cave in on us it was cracked and falling apart plus I'm 5'4 and the shower head was lower than my chin being handicapped and having to bend over the whole time I showered was a challenge but the customer service was excellent

This hotel was very convenient but really disappointing. The managers really tried but are just overwhelmed with everything that is broken.I was there over Memorial Day weekend and things were decent. The ice machine was broken and the key cards didn't work.I went back less than two weeks later and it was really bad. The ice machine was still broken, the key cards didn't work, there was no hot water in the sink in my room, my son's room had no hot water in the shower, and there was a water leak in another room.I spoke with the owner on the phone and he was pretty rude. He really needs to get things fixed. I won't be going back there to stay.I gave it two stars just because the managers tried so hard.

The hotel is very run down, I did not have heat in my room, I was told that night it would take time to heat up, I went to bed and it was cold, I woke up at 5 in the morning with no heat still. I showered and got out of the room. Upon leaving, I told the clerk that I still did not have heat. He told me that he would have the owner check it out, I also asked for a refund of all or partial of the room fee. He told me that he would have to talk to the owner. I called today to see about getting a refund, I was told that because I did not request a new room at 5 in the morning I could not have a refund. If you are visiting the Prentice WI area, stay somewhere else and make the drive. I had burn spots in one of the chairs, in the other was a iron burn spot. the box spring was tore, carpet could used to be cleaned. On the back side of the building, they had boxes covering the air conditioners, few of them had fallen off and were just laying on the ground. DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!

I love the view of the little pond in the back and the Canadian Geese come and visit often which is awesome! The rooms are big and the managers are great!!! Pet friendly with a big area for em to run and do their thing! Beds are comfy! No coffee pots but I brought my own. Love this place!

Recently spent a few days in Prentice and had a very nice experience at this hotel. The management was really great, very kind and considerate. It was a very nice location as we were out searching for waterfalls. The central location allowed us to go over the Ladysmith for dinner one night as well as enjoy some of the other places that are nearby. We certainly would be happy to stay here again in the future.

Awesome little Hotel. Kind of off the beaten path. New owners. Just got it beginning of August 2020. We do trucking amd stay at a lot of hotels in a year's time. This may not be a Marriott or even a Comfort Inn. It hey, I bet your house ain't either. For the money and friendliness of the owners, I'll stay here every chance I get. Beds in our room were comfy. Room was clean and AC worked. We had a Microwave and Fridge, TV, recliner and table with chairs. Talked to the owners for awhile and they are nice folks. Remember, if you have issues at a hotel, a lot of times it reflects on your attitude towards them. Or sometimes they just delt with the rudest person on earth and you happened to be next. Be friendly and they will be too. We will be back here every chance we get. Has room for Big Truck parking and vehicles with trailers. Has a small truckstop right across the road with a great restaurant.
