I’ve boarded my dog here twice. The first time was fine, no issues. So I booked again. I learned at drop off to send updated vaccination records more than 2 days in advance. My dog was signed up for 4 vaccines before I caught the mistake (I was not handling drop off myself). But that was resolved.My issue is that at pick up, I was told my dog got another dogs SEIZURE medication on accident. My dog isn’t on ANY medication so it wasn’t a simple mix up. I didn’t ask questions, I was too stunned in the moment. Lucky for them, it was an 8lb dogs pill and mine is 75lb so nothing bad happened and he wasn’t allergic to it. They said they called a vet too, but I wish they had told me when it happened that morning. For this reason, we won’t be returning. I’m just thankful the mixup wasn’t the other way around with a small dog receiving a much larger dog’s prescribed medication.I understand accidents happen. But this seems entirely avoidable and I believe I should’ve been informed when it happened and not after the fact.

I would like to say that Doctor Chad and his sweetheart nurse is no doubt thee best of the best vets in Wisconsin. Their honest care and compassion sincerely helped me through a terrible situation of losing my dear WILLOW BOO BEAR, (YORKIE) ! Had generally positive experiences here for 1 1/2 years [the only negatives were: 1) the prices - as others have mentioned, basic boarding includes NO interaction/activities 2) my dog came home very dirty every time.] The staff is caring and genuinely seemed happy to see my dog every time he visited. However, the last time he went, a new staffer, who I assume was the owner, greeted us, and seemed unhappy that my dog was extra exuberant upon arrival (he LOVES people and other dogs and is happy beyond belief to be around them - and yes, a little crazy until he settles down). About half way through the day, I got a call at work. The staffer/owner (?) informed me that my dog was too rambunctious and had been shut in an office until I could pick him up after work. Imagine his, and my surprise, after going to daycare for 1 1/2 years and receiving glowing report cards every time. Suddenly, something had changed and I was told he needed more training. He's been through two obedience courses. He's 2 years old and admittedly very enthusiastic about people and dogs. He had been going to Shamrock for 1 1/2 years with no issues. We've found another daycare that is closer to home, less expensive, and doesn't mind dealing with super-happy, boisterous dogs.

Nice staff and my dog was well cared for. However, for the price of a suite, it was shocking to find out that there is NO other attention or activity for my dog other than two potty breaks a day. This was a weekend and no daycare was available. I had to purchase a number of play times in order to make sure my active dog was "sprung" from his kennel to get some interaction and activity during the days he was there. Most other kennels include interaction and activity as part of the price of a suite.

We take our dog here on a weekly basis. The staff members are great and its an easy way to socialize your dog. Our dog comes home super tired every time!

Shamrock Pet resort is great yet all dogs with separation anxiety have a hard time away from home, no matter the care they receive.

Used the dog park while passing through town. It's huge! Lots of area for the dogs to run with trees and long grass. Better than just an open area.
