First off, this is a really neat place with a lot of history. Even without food and beverage, it's kind of a neat place to see and has various types of souvenirs. My family went there for food and beverage. We ordered the cheese curds and fried pickles as our appetizers and both were outstanding. There was some mix-up with the kitchen and our order. Apparently, the kitchen lost our order and it never got placed. Our waitress didn't realize until about an hour of us sitting there with our empty appetizer plates and empty drinks. To compensate, they gave us the appetizers and drinks for free. It was a nice gesture, but I think it could have been all found a lot sooner if the waitress had ever come back and checked on us. Across the six different meals we had the opinions varied. The reuben and mac and cheese were both very good. The root beer was also very well liked.

Was looking forward to giving a rave review but we had just an ok experience on our most recent visit. It was great that we were able to get a large group in fairly quickly. It did take longer to order and eat than I prefer. We were there three hours. Our server was wonderful! The food was good but a bit on the plain side to look at. They were able to split our bill in thirds with some minor issues. I'll be returning again soon. Friendly people and good food always win out for me and this place has both.

We stopped in on our way home and absolutely enjoyed our visit. The beer museum is well worth the money. I just wish they would bring back FIDDLER OATMEAL STOUT!!!! The lady that greeted us was wonderful and the lady that took care of us in the restaurant was fantastic. The burgers we had were very tasty. I just wish there were more dark beer selections on tap. Ever in the area again we will be back.

Delicious! I highly recommend their grilled brisket and sweet potato fries. My friends had the Reuben, grilled chicken sandwich, and beer cheese soup. All of them tasted great. The atmosphere is really unique. They have a cave area and gift shop where you can buy potosi beer as well. Lots of different flavors including seltzers.

So far in my brewery adventures, this is one of my favorites. I have had the pleasure of visiting here twice. It has definitely improved with time and is an absolute wonderful experience Not only is the brewery and restaurant on location, but they have The National Brewery Museum. The brewery has done a great job of setting up their own museum with history and memorabilia from the long history of the Potosi Brewery Est. 1852. The gift shop is also great with a wide variety of swag and beer.I thouroughly enjoyed tasting the beers I had with my lunch, so many to choose from and such a short visit.By far they have the BEST root beer that my son and I have tried. Excellent flavor and finish. The food was excellent and we were given great portions. I literally have no complaints or suggestions. I only wish I lived a bit closer so I could go more often.Do yourself a favor and make the trip off of the beaten path to enjoy this brewery gem.

Great brewery and staff. Carol at the pub served up amazing service! Tyler gave the best tour I’ve ever been on. I highly recommend stopping in and checking out this great brewery. The beer, food and service was 5 star. Double shout out to Tyler and Carol.

Great staff! Great location! Disappointed in the food and beer. I asked what was fresh on the menu something that was not frozen. Happy to say the waitress was honest. We ended ordering a salad with the avocado it was not very good(putting that nicely) my burger was a frozen pattie. The cottage cheese was good. The food looked good from a far. But far from good. We wondered why this place was pretty empty for a Saturday lunch time. We have family that are locals out here and they do not recommend this place anymore.

Excellent food and beer. Fried pickles, Reuben, burgers, even salads are top notch with large portions and great flavor. Always a treat to visit and tour the amazing museum.

This place definitely needs a face lift!!! The upholstery on the chairs R sad...pulled out of shape and ill-fitting and saggy, not 2 mention stain ridden and the cushions R just so hard and simply beyond uncomfortable. Our table was sticky in more than a few places. And DO NOT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE SALT AND PEPPER SHAKERS!!! They were head and shoulders beyond disgusting. I venture 2 say that they were virtually tyvek-needed biohazardlydisgusting enough that NASA might very well B interested in checking them out. Even my 21 yo son commented on their disgusting condition. One extra napkin on the table, nothing stocked...and we got there at around 5 pm. At that time there were 2 separate people sitting at it. There were only 2 other tables filled at the time we got there and seated. And as we were seated, one table of patrons left, leaving just us and the other table. I personally saw 3 Napkins on the floor, in different places, that staff constantly and continually walked over/around. One that we walked over on the way out, my husband actually ended up picking up himself. So there really wasn't any reason for any one working there 2 NOT pick up large items left laying on the floor, as they were not in any slammed or even casually busy!!! . We were finally asked about refilling our drinks about 90% done with our meal. My husband's cod was good.. could've definitely used more lemon and tarter though, if we'd been ask in a timely manner.Their Salads, while full of different items, has a different type of greens in it...spinach, radicchio, endive, arugula. So our son wasn't a fan of the bitter and hard-2-pick-up Salad Ingredients at all. His Mac and cheese wasn't all that great due to the ungodly smokiness of the ham that they used and put in there. I got a small side dish of their Mac and cheese, and I had to whole heartily concur. My chicken wrap was OK, but might have been better with some sour cream on it or some cilantro. Didn't have much in the line of flavor going for it, but did have a nice array of textures in it's corner.

What an amazing place, tour, and story! We literally spent half the day here (and upstairs in the museum) because it was so nice and fun. Staff was super friendly and funny and the beer and food were delicious.

The food is average, but the beer cheese soup is VERY good. The service (getting our food) was very slow but we had a big group, so it was understandable. The waitress did a great job and made small talk with the table (she gets 5 stars).Seating inside and out. Neat little koi pond outside.

What a superb place out in the middle of nowhere. We were camping at Grant River Army Corp Campground not far away. Took a chance and went to Pitosi. What Fun we had!! A very well done museum. You can spend hours here. Also, they have a brewery too. Excellent beer tastings. The museum displays were excellent.

Neat place with a great interior and outdoor seating available. I would love to come back and do the museum - this review is only for the brewpub. Our server was attentive though we felt our food took longer to serve than what was to be expected. The beer bread and spinach dip appetizer was the winner of what we ordered - that I highly recommend. Cave Ale Chicken was good. Only the cheese curds wasn't up to par with other places - they were too oily!Right around the restaurant, you might want to take a nice stroll and some pictures, it's quite a scenic place!

First time here on our way home to Iowa. Wasn't sure on what beer we wanted and we were able to sample a few beers before deciding what we wanted. Irish farmhouse beer was amazing! The pretzel was really good, nice crust and super soft inside. Cheese curds were must try and did not disappoint. We were a party of 6 so it was a nice variety of food for everyone. We highly recommend the rueben. Also the bathrooms were very clean. Will definitely be coming back here again when we are in the area.

Great location with nice country highways and the Great River Road. The tour is well worth the $12.00. Our guide (Rick), was knowledgeable, pleasant and had a great sense of humor! Great selection of beers and after the tour the pub/restaurant had fabulous food. We did the "Old Potosi" sandwich with chicken breast and the pulled pork. I recommend the Old Potosi! The gift shop had a nice selection of items, and of course plenty of Potosi to take home! The location has limited hours, so make sure you check prior to visiting. Prost!

Cool place for sure but they were crazy busy and only 1 person working behind bar?? Just wasn't overly impressed. Did flight and only really enjoyed 1 beer which they didn't even have in 6 packs to go🤷‍♀️ Happy we stopped and hope next time they are less busy so we can enjoy a little more.

Potosi is my favorite brewery i have been to in many years. Such good beer! I wish i could have bought many of the other kinds of beers we tried. Their gift shop was super awesome as was their museum. The tour was closed due to covid 19, i can imagine it is awesome. Food is unbelievable and they are very kid friendly!

Wonderful! 😀First time having dinner, and it won't be our last. There was a slight mix up when we arrived, and didn't have a server assigned to us for over 10 minutes. Once that was fixed, everything came together. I loved the brisket! It had a perfect flavor and was incredibly tender. The beans were equally delicious. You can't see it in the picture, but I had the coleslaw too. Started out with their kettle chips, and was also impressed. My wife let me try one of thei "barrel and caps" appetizers (breaded bacon hash browns and jalapeno peppers). She let me have "one" because they were excellent too.Ample parking.Handicap friendly.Family place too.

Good Ole Potosi! That's what the shirt said. Glad we made this one of stops on our Mississippi river, only a short jog from Wyalusing. Our theme was cheese and we hit the mark...we enjoyed cheese curds, a bacon chicken wrap, and bacon Mac and cheese with a side salad. Compliments to the chef, all were wonderful! Ashley was a delite, asking how we liked everything. We enjoyed a flight of been, who knew Tangerine IPA could be wonderful. Prices were reasonable. We will visit again if in the area!

Potosi has always had a place in my heart as the beer of choice. If I happen to stumble across a Potosi beer at a random bar, I usually order it! However, as I was driving back to the Madison area from Iowa, I stumbled upon a sign for the BREWERY, and I immediately decided to go! I wasn't able to catch a tour, but I did peruse the museum stops on the first floor. We decided to take a break from driving a little further, and we ordered a beer at their beautiful bar. There, I had some of the best spinach artichoke dip I HAVE EVER HAD, served with their in house made bread. The music there was wholesome and lovely, the beers and food were to die for. I was disappointed only by my food/beer capacity being reached too soon. 11/5, would definitely recommend.I LOVE YOU, POTOSI!!

3rd trip across the Iowa/Cassville car ferry with destination Potosi on the brain.....this is NEVER A BAD CHOICE. The place is just plain cool! The Shot Tower-Esspresso Stout is an awesome treat!(Espresso & beer, who woulda thunk it? It's way better than chocolate and peanut butter) Great food, great service, great atmosphere, and no big city tourist-trap prices. If you go there on a busy day it's well worth the wait.
