I live in Stevens Point this store is about an hour away & its worth thw gas $ & a 2hr round trip. A nice drive on a sunny day. My options are limited to Michael's, Hobby Lobby or online bead retailers. When I did a basic Google search for bead stores near me & found this gem of a store I was beyond excited! I could shop at & support a local wisconsin business over instead of a big box craft store. Photos I've included are projects I've made with beads purchased at Prairie Flower Beads (designed by super talented unknown designers i wish I knew their names to give credit too )

Purchased tunes of delica seed beads but the tubes were not filled to the top. Called about it. Beads are sold by weight. It is deceiving to the customer because I thought my tubes were filled to the brim but found out diffenrently once I opened them. The store label on the beads covers the fact that the tube is 1/3 empty. Why not fill the tube up all the way and adjust the price accordingly. Paying $6.25 for a partially filled tube does not make sense or feel right. Fill up my tube and charge me $7.

The owners are very personable and we like to share food and fun when we are there and they allowed us to celebrate fat Tuesday with them. They are very helpful with beads and they hold awesome classes to help you create very interesting things, they are also pet friendly. They have many huge sales on their beads and findings all of the time.

Both the ladies that work there was very nice. I brought in a very old watch for my aunt to have the battery changed, unfortunately they did not carry the size I needed but however they told me if I find the battery to bring it back and they will put it in for me. I looked all over for this battery and finally found one. Today I bought the watch back to them and they were so wonderful, it took probably 35/40 minutes to get this back of the watch back on after the new battery was put back on but they did not care they wanted me happy. They took time to watch a you-tube video just to help me and they were so thoughtful on different ways to make it work without breaking the watch. I will definitely be back maybe to have my daughters birthday party there. Please people go and support these awesome women they deserve it.

Rita and her staff were all fabulous! There is an extensive inventory of beads, supplies, jewelry, and don't forget to go all the way to the back and check out the rocks, crystals, and cabachons! Pricing is very fair and it was great to catch up with Rita and Art!

This is my absolutely favorite store - no - EXPERIENCE- in all of the possible places a person could find themselves. Beads, yes. But the rocks are AMAZING! There are huge statement pieces to small palm-size polished stones. Fossilized polished BEAUTIFUL dinosaur poop. You HAVE to check this rock oasis out!

I love this store! Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. Every time I am blessed with a new grandbaby, i just bring in my "grandma" necklace and they add another personalized coin and birthstone for me. And i love their huge selection of beads and accessories to make my own jewelry.

So I've been beading for quite sometime due to my native american traditions. I've been here twice, the first time I was a kid in a candy store. Loved it and easily spent over a hundred bucks there.Second time was a whole different story...My friend and I were the only ones in the store beside three employees. Two were at the front and the other one was in the back appear to be getting something prepared.The two employees were labeling merchandise and where talking about girl scouts (it is cookie season!) And I asked " oh girl scouts! Are they coming here and selling cookies today?!" She looked very annoyed I asked something. And she told me "they're for a class" and I was just like ohh okay. And went back to shopping; I don't know what I did to make her annoyed.I heard her say something towrds the end and she didn't sound happy again. My friend was standing closer and heard her say to her coworker "well back to what I was saying" in such a rude tone.She appeared to be a new employee as well... once my friend informed me what she said I got uncomfortable and just no longer wanted to be in the store. Once she rung me up she asked me if I wanted the punch card and I said no because I don't plan on coming back. I will be honest and told her if she's going to talk under her breath it's best to do it either when customers aren't close to her or doing more quietly. Her eyes seemed to get wide because she got caught and I confronted it.I loved the store initially and spent almost 200 bucks in only two visits, but if the employees are going to be rude why would I drive 34 minutes to a place where I'm just going to be uncomfortable at?

This store has a large variety of beads as well as ready made projects. The staff is knowledgeable about their products as well as the projects displayed. This store is one of my favorite bead stores. I visit it each time I am in the area.
