I like shopping here especially with all the great prices. I just feel that I should share my experience with the cashier and listen, I don’t want to get anyone in trouble or lose their job. I am letting the GM know that they need to retrain Ms. Karen because every time I come to this store everyone is always so sweet and kind but she seems to be very grouchy and seems mean. I think somebody needs to have a talk with her and help her change her attitude towards the customers. You just don’t treat people like that especially when it’s where you work.Every time I come in this store, I always have more than enough on my food stamps card to purchase whatever I get but for some odd reason it showed I didn’t have a enough and I checked my card and I had enough so I asked Ms. Karen if she could take some things off but her tone was very off putting and she seemed mad. Luckily, we got it all situated and an Angel helped me out.If someone could please give Ms. Karen some direction on being a little more nicer to customers that would be great. God bless.

After a three week self-imposed hiatus from Festival Foods in Portage, my wife and I returned to find that every item that I'd pointed out as being out of stock in my former review was now well stocked. What a pleasant surprise to be able to cross every item off our list at a single location! Produce was fresh as well. If this continues, they have definitely won us back!

You do not get the flyer ads unless you tell the cashier to run the ad. The cashier asked me if I found everything and this one time, I said no. They were running a sale on this bread that I like and they were out of it. He said I could go to the counter and they would check. In the mean time, I was paying with cash and some CC and forgot to ask for the ad to be scanned for the dscounts. So I had to go to the counter anyway. By the time the service counter had looked thru the ad to find any discounts I should have gotten, the lines were all backed up and I FELT TERRIBLE, all because of their policy that the customer has to ASK for the AD to be scanned. Sorry, I'm done shopping there. The last time I was there you had to TEXT something to get the additional discount on the soda, which I also didnt receive because they were too busy and I didn't want to ask about that either. I'm tired of doing stupid human tricks to get discounts.

I like this store because of the large variety of choices. Deli and seafood/meat departments are amazing. The prices are a little higher but good sales usually make up for it. Would recommend

I always ask for my paper receipt. ***3 different occasions, I was overcharged on an item. If it’s a few cents, I don’t bother. I returned to the store and complained ( I was charged 2x , $5 more on an item). It felt like I was put in a position that I was lying about the overcharge☹️not good customer service on that day

My review is based on the sushi shop at the store. This was the worst sushi I have ever tasted and he just made it to order. I was trying to eat it but it kept falling apart like he sliced them really small so they wouldn’t hold. The fish had some weird chewy strip on it that wouldn’t even breakdown when chewing it, kinda like a chewy steak. He charged me $14 for a chef special 5, trust me it was special all right. Don’t bother spending your money on it. Stop at the sushi place downtown and you will be happy.

Cakes have been hit or miss lately. They’re either absolutely amazing, or nothing near what you imagined. Prices are way above and beyond what you would ever find at Walmart. I can only give this three stars because they have a far reaching selection of unique, and diet specific items. Deli is quite strong at this moment, but bakery was at one time too, but has taken an unfortunate dive. Hopefully we will find more consistency with ordering cakes and receiving what was desired. I would still have to place their cakes above Walmarts, but they inch closer to the equality in quality, yet Festival is still much higher priced and probably always will be.

They usually have most items in stock, although not always. The produce is pretty fresh. The meat department has a bourbon pepper roast that is truly amazing and melts in your mouth. I recommend giving it a try.

The items available for us have gotten better. We are 90% whole food plant based. Every so often, there are "shortages" of what we want. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Great store but the organic selections are pretty disappointing. I realize it's in a less progressive region of the state but some people want an organic selection that isn't completely vegan. We want the same food as everyone else just without the chemicals. Other than that the store is very clean and well kept. Ps they always have killer tunes when I'm there. It's a little thing but hearing your favorites while shopping just makes the experience pleasant no matter the lack of options. I still drive an hour to shop there.

love festival for their fresh seafood. I don't get to go here very often, since i don't live close to one but they also have a great deli! otherwise just rather normal like other stores, but every time i have been able to go they have actual cashiers on hand not just the awful self checkouts!

They are a little pricey but have the best milk in glass bottles. They also have a good selection of marked down meat. That's my favorite part.

This grocery store will have what you want and need. Good produce. Good meat. Good selection of dry goods. The deli foods look really good but looks are deceiving. Be carefull with the Fresh Seafood as well. I purchased 40$ worth of lobster claws , ready to eat and ammoniated. Yuk , spoiled. Nice store just have your A-Game on when you shop.

Love this store. It is spacious, clean and has a great deli, bakery, and meat department. Staff is friendly, and helpful. Not a common trend in this day and age. The prices are not bargain, but with the good selection and great customer service, it is worth paying a little extra.

Ice, ice, babyWitnessed a maintenance employee almost fall on the ice near the docks, yet he still wouldn't put down sand or salt.Front of the store dry as a bone, but vendor safety LOW priority at this location. Almost impossible backing up and walking on ice.I don't shop at customers who don't try to keep us safe from injury. A fall could easily put of us out of commission and it's been a problem here for a long time. Common practice by Festival to put low priority on the most important part of their stores.
