Alicia was my clerk today. I came through with about 40 bucks of stuff me and my kids picked out but my chime card declined for some unknown reason, and Alicia said "Happy Easter" and ran her own card. I was so embarrassed yet my faith in humanity was restored with that simple action. I hit up the ATM with my chime card and pulled the $40 out to give back and Alicia almost didnt take it back. Thank you Alicia! You made my day!

I like this store, they carry a pretty wide variety of stuff from arts and crafts to food. The best part is, everything is actually a dollar! The staff are all great and the store is well organized. They do balloons as well, I don't know what they charge for that though. Awesome store

I am completely appalled at the disgusting behavior of a particular employee today who had the audacity to raise her voice at my disabled niece. It is not your job to parent the innocent children in this world. It is, however, your job to put away items that are not in the correct place. It also wouldn't hurt to have the common decency to move and not block the entire aisle when paying customers are trying to get through.

This place is always a mess. They put out seasonal stuff or holiday items. Once displayed, it's like they never touch it again. As time passes, stuff gets mixed up (I presume from sloppy customers?), thrown on the floor, or in a pile on the shelves...just a s....hole. You would think management would have staff do a quick straighten-up of shelves at the end of the work day. Also, floors are VISIBLY dirty. Every time I go in it looks like the floors haven't been swept or mopped in months! I'm afraid to even enter the bathroom. The staff are not friendly and look like they hate their job. I only go there when I have to. What a poor reflection on management. The only good thing I can say about this place-most of the items are fairly priced.

A much needed store these days. Lots of kids items. School supplies, all holidays decorations, food, arts and craft supplies. Oh and party items. Books too. I like going here for some personal items as well like toothpaste , deodorants, some vitamins too. A great stock up store at a great price!

This dollar tree is always nice & clean & the people who work there are actually happy most of the time, and friendly all of the time. Not like the Dollar Tree in East side Madison that I went to that had a gross used diaper by the plastic bags, and one employee who was crying hysterically while ringing up customers. The other employees were ignoring her, like "oh yeah that's just what Janis does on Tuesday". There were buckets all over the store catching melting snow leaking down from the roof. I felt like I was in a David Lynch movie. But anyway yeah, the Portage Dollar Tree is classy compared to that mess. And they sell the most delicious Goya Palmeritas cookies.

The best Dollar Tree I’ve been to. I buy a bunch of items in bulk and ship to store for my small business. The Madison Dollar Trees are much closer to me, but I choose to go to the Portage Dollar Tree because it is so well managed and clean. The manager even helps me load my car.

So sad that these essential workers choose not to wear masks. I wear a mask to keep THEM safe. Sorry your employees don't care about the customers they are serving. And no...plexiglass is not enough. Some of us still have very ill family/friends we are taking care of or have underlying conditions ourselves. Sadly they must have been given the choice from the management and they made a choice. The Dollar Tree has always been a go to place for me. But, sadly myself and family can no longer give them our business.

Went there to buy a magnet, but couldn't find what I wanted. Instead in the mean time as I was looking I found about $8 worth of other items I didn't know they sold there. 1 item I did take back and they don't refund but let me exchange with no hassle. Nice store!!

Staff are very nice and friendy Some customers need to be a little nicer have had people be rude a few times one time I was in there to get 1 item and a customer says to me is that fair when I used the other line they opened up when she should of not said anything I let people who have one item go in front of me a lot.

Liked the Gentleman that was at checkout very polite and wore his mask properly whereas the female that usually is at checkouts always wears her mask beneath her chin! How is that protecting customers?

The young man at the register (Trey, I think he told my granddaughter) was very pleasant. Good Halloween selection per usual.

Plastic bags be ripped with jars in. Dollar store lucky it wasn't glass jar!! They'd would have to clean it up. I'm sure this happened before to others.
