We loved our experience with Helen of Countryside Portable Buildings. She was not only helpful before the sale, but also after the sale. We got the shed we wanted, when we wanted it! Shed was delivered by professionals; they were very picky about the placement and wouldn't leave until all the doors worked perfectly. We had a minor billing error and that was made right immediately to our satisfaction. Great company, great people! Highly recommend.

We ordered a 16x40 cabin with a 6 ft porch, insulated windows, spray foam floor, and UDC package in the Fall. Helen was very nice and answered all our questions. She referred me to Virgil at North Star to find out about delivery. Our cabin was delivered in January. Driver Nathan made sure it was placed just right. It was exciting to finally have our cabin but heartbreaking to see it arrived damaged. The siding was cracked, exposing the interior wood so I worry about water damage. Driver said he could fix it but didn't say when. We live out of state so the next time we checked was end of March, still damaged, called Virgil who said they could fix it but doesn't know when. It's been almost 6 months since delivery and our siding still hasn't been repaired. Aside from that, the cabin is beautiful and well made. UPDATE: The exterior has been repaired, flawlessly. Thank you, thank you!!

We are so very pleased with our new garden shed! It’s built so well and the price was right! We opted for the 36 inch windows and put blinds on them. It’s going to be fun next summer! We purchased a 12x16 utility shed from Countryside’s inventory in Sept, 2021. Helen went over and above helping me choose the right shed for our property! She emailed numerous pictures of available sheds in the evening and even on weekends and answered many questions to ensure we got what we were looking for. The shed is of excellent quality at a reasonable price during the time lumber was at a premium and inventory of sheds was low. She provided me the address in Portage where the potential shed was on display so I could inspect it as well as other ones that were on site.Scheduling the delivery was also easy. Delivery of the same completed shed I inspected prior to purchasing was done by Dan who was prompt, careful, friendly, very competent maneuvering the forklift, placed exactly where we wanted it, and made sure it was level and to my satisfaction before leaving.The entire process was no-pressure and hassle-free. I purchased a garden shed and delivery was 2 weeks ago. From the time of the first quote to the delivery, the process was amazing. Helen made the sales process enjoyable, mailed or texted me regularly to keep me Informed. The delivery was on time and the entire process took a half hour from removing it from the truck to the final leveling. The delivery person was a skilled professional that was a pleasure to deal with. I called Countryside Buildings (Helen) in late 2019 and discussed getting a building from her. We discussed all of the particulars and some special changes I asked for, I planned to order one right away. However I ended up delaying the purchase unit early 2020. Due to COVID-19 everything was delayed and behind by a few months. I ended up getting the building delivered late in 2020 which was not really a problem for me. The building showed up in great condition and the delivery person took his time setting up the building and leveling it properly. Upon delivery the special changes I asked for were only half complete. I immediately contacted Helen about this and she was in agreement with me that it wasn't correct. She proceeded to contact North Star Buildings and see just what was going on. She called me back right after and said that the owner of North Star Buildings would call me in a few days. It ended up being a few weeks. Once I finally got to discuss this all with the owner he was very apologetic for the late reply and miscommunication to his production personnel and immediately offered an acceptable refund due to the original requirements not being met. He was very good to deal with and very understanding of the situation. Helen proceeded to call me back to check on the results of my conversation with North Star Buildings, and I can't say enough good about Helen and her efforts before, during and after the sale. Its people like Her and her great attitude that I really enjoyed working with! I wholeheartedly recommend Countryside Buildings as a great place to purchase North Star Buildings from! Great work Helen! Thank you very much for your diligence and persistence getting me my building! I appreciate it greatly!

Truth be told, I purchased a unit from another supplier first (2-3 weeks wait, I was told), and 10+ weeks later still didn't have my unit. North Star builds a quality unit that won’t blow into your neighbors yard during a storm.Everyone I dealt with through the process was very friendly and helpful .
