I decided to try a different route to Bayfield. The fresh fish sign caught my attention. I bought salmon, whitefish, trout, and herring. Good stuff! They also had a variety of packaged mushrooms which I found interesting even though I didn't purchase any. Maybe next time.

This is a great little store and I shop there every time I visit my cabin. Great selection of local beers, not cheap, they're not cheap in Madison either... Great selection of fresh local fish and great little cuts of local beef, at prices that seem pretty reasonable to me. I'm delighted there is a store with darn near every thing I might need 10 minutes from my cabin, and they're open almost every day of the year... none of this closing in October and good luck to ya...nonsense like some of the fancier stores a few towns up the road. You're an hour or more from anything that could be considered a small city, and you're not on your way anywhere so cut them some slack on the bathrooms and overall decor. Set your expectations correctly. It's clean, staff is professional. Gas is reasonable given you are 3 hours off the interstate. I love them and I rely on them for my steaks, fish, treats, beer and top off my gas tank on every trip.

We traveled about 2.5hrs to camp and hike in Port Wing. This little shop was a great convenience to have nearby. Prices aren't any different than most gas stations, and they have almost anything you'd need (in our case, monsters). They also have a nice little selection of souvenirs from the area, which aren't crazy expensive, either. I got my wife a mug from the Sea Caves, and our kids a Lake Superior mason jar to keep their beach rocks & sand in. Ironically, they also have fresh baked goods from a bakery in Wadena, MN, where we had just visited family a few days earlier.We stopped in a few times, and once was fairly busy, with only one person working. Not a huge inconvenience, but to be noted. The staff was friendly tho, as were some of the locals.It's to see little shops still kicking, so I had to drop a review.

We checked out fall colors in Bayfield county...a nice fall drive with a quick stop here and a munch on smoked fish taking me back to 1950s my dad's favorite

GREAT smoked fish and a little of everything for your last minute needs. Plus, a beautiful, nice gal at the register. I stop here rather than Cornucopia because these people aren't raging liberals. Port Wing ROCKS!

Management is poor. We booked cabin for august, clerk booked us for July. Got that straightened out. Stayed 4 days in cabin. Very small, but was better than tent. Has toilet, but needed to use shower house, they never gave us the door lock code for shower house. Yuck, what a pit. TV never really worked. Keys never really worked good in cabin door. But, on the good side are all the atv trails, they are the best we've found. Can leave on sxs right from campground. Beautiful sandy trails. Not much for restaurants. Boreal state forest beach is beautiful along with herbster and Barker bay. Saw lots of fresh bear tracks as well as wolf and bobcat tracks. Rode 200 miles on sxs. Beautiful country. Made it to bayfield and cornucopia. You pretty much can go anywhere up there. Pack a cooler and lunch and up to date maps and gas!

Good one just beside the road , easy parking. You can use the restroom and get a nice coffee on your way and the y have a grocery their with lots of raw fish .

We started out coming here when our children were little. Now we come as a huge family with our kids, and their kids. We love it here. It is cozy and affordable. We have made many memories and friends here.

Really good gas prices for 91 non-oxy, a bit run-down inside and for restrooms but nothing out of the ordinary for this area.

Nice store for a fillup and the necessities needed for a northwoods trip. They had non-oxy fuel for my ATV which is always a plus.

It is small, a little dingy, and overpriced. However, the staff is professional and patient. Overall, it is exactly what one would expect in a middle-of-nowhere, tiny town.
