My family recommended me and my husband to this pet shop and I have to be honest, we ended up getting a pure-bred female Maltese! Staffs were professional, attentive, and friendly. We had so many questions but they were patient and understanding. When we bought our new pup, our assistant provided us an orientation and a binder that contains our puppy's health and pedigree history.,including instructions on care. Our new puppy is also vaccinated, which is good. I do recommend for those who are still deciding if teacup puppy or non-teacup puppy is right for them. Pocket Puppy offers both breeds, which is nice. Great service and comfortable atmosphere.

Definitely a store that uses puppy mills. I come from a rural area and I've seen animals treated better on farms. They are all alone in tiny cages and one of the puppies was freaking out and not being attended to when we were there. Smelled like urine and the "momma" dog was tied to a shelf with a leash. When my partner went to greet her she flinched away 😔 I really wanted this to be an awesome store and was optimistic but my mind was quickly changed.

Rude, unprofessional, dishonest and heartless. We bought our Yorkie from here 7 years ago and had a great experience in Chicago. We have been looking for a second dog and found a Maltese last week that would be perfect for our 6 year old daughter’s birthday-she has been begging for a friend for the Yorkie for 2 years. Last week when we called we were told the Maltese was “sold.” We checked back today and saw that the dog was still on the website and called this morning. We were told the dog is available and it “wasn’t sold last week it was sick and unavailable.” So our family immediately jumped in our car to drive 4 hours from Ohio to Wisconsin before they closed at 7pm. We offered to pay a deposit or in full for the dog since we would be driving (in bad January weather) and were told “that’s against policy.” And they could hold the dog for more than an hour. I spoke with Emily and explained we are 4 hours away and didn’t want to risk the dog selling however she continued to say that’s the policy. I said I would call back in an hour when we were 3 hours away. I called back and was again told the dog is still available and a few people had looked at it but she would hold it for an hour and I could check back every hour during the drive. I called back when we were two hours away and was told by the manager, Jessica, that the dog sold a half hour ago. So now we are 2 hours away from home, no dog for my daughter (who is crying and heard all the conversations and got her hopes up) we bought hotel room for the night, and out drive time, gas, hotel and no dog. Jessica was very unapologetic and almost seemed like she thought the situation was funny and said this is the “owners policy.” I asked to speak with the owner to explain the situation and she would not provide his name and let me know he “might call me back.” I hope Emily and Jessica never have to deal with this if they ever have kids and are trying to buy their child a puppy. Jessica let me know she could put me on a “waitlist” and again if the dog is bought before I can drive the 4 hours there then I’m out of luck. I will update this review if the owner calls me back to make this right. Otherwise I will look up the business on the. BBB and update the review.

Employees are so welcoming and nice, they answered all of our questions and concerns. Our purchasing process was so easy, they made sure to explain everything we needed to know. We’re so happy with our Dachshund puppy!! :)

The ladies here were wonderful and very helpful with my decision. They were able to answer my questions. I really enjoyed the experience and highly recommend this place. They gave me plenty of time to bond with my new puppy. I did not feel rushed or pressured at all.

i adopted a puppy in march and i got a wonderful maltipoo named Cleo! the puppies are all so cute and the entire experience was awesome! the associates are so kind and it was all a pleasant experience. 10/10!!!

Pocket Puppies is awful and should be shut down. Multiple puppy mill bred puppies are sitting in tiny soiled cages with empty food/water dishes. The dogs have no toys and are sitting alone in their little box. The setup for them is incredibly cruel. The Racine Humane Society is nearby and offers multiple dogs for a fraction of the price. Have a heart and support a local rescue instead.

Adorable puppies, but very unfriendly, unwelcoming, rude staff. Overall, it was a very strange setup. Puppies locked in cages and begging for attention, while there were 4 or 5 women just sitting around on couches doing nothing more than socializing with each other. I wasn’t even acknowledged and certainly didn’t feel welcome to be in the store. Most of cages looked okay, but the smell of urine was STRONG! I also wondered where these puppies are coming from. Almost certainly puppy mills because reputable breeders that care about their animals would want the puppies to be socialized, not isolated. Overall, a very sad situation, but these places will continue to exist as long as there’s a market for puppy mill dogs.

The people working here are very knowledgeable about all of the different dogs they are also very friendly. The shop is clean and organized! Plus they have the cutest clothes beds and toys to take home. 10/10 recommend

We’ve been coming here for over a year , almost every Sunday all the way from Chicago . Till we found our little one today. They have the best costumer service are never rushing us out , always smiling and welcoming and heart warming and very gentle with their furr babies ! Definitely recommend it here

I actually cried when I walked past this store yesterday. Places like this still exist?? The puppies were all in segregated small boxes with no toys or food, obviously desperate for attention. (Who looks after them at night??)There were no customers in the store and I could see the staff manhandling the puppies.I would question how reputable this place is.If you’re considering buying a puppy - a huge responsibility - please do your research and ask to meet the puppies parents. Or even better, just buy from a reputable breeder.

I went to the outlets on Wednesday for a pair of pants and had no idea this place even existed up until that day, I have been looking to adopt a Chihuahua or a Pomeranian for the last couple of months and when I seen they had them I decided to stop in. As we entered the store, not a single one of the employees bothered to stop the conversation they were having to even look in our direction or say hello. As we looked, the employees continued standing around talking while 2 large dogs ran through the store dragging their leashes around which is a trip hazard for people walking into the store. My daughter took a liking to one of the Pomeranians and we had to interrupt the employees talking to ask about holding her. I asked what the process was like to adopt one and she said "You'd fill out a short questionnaire and buy the dog" seemed odd to me that there would be no approval or denial process like most places that want to make sure their dogs don't end up in already overcrowded pounds. The employees were very cold, unwelcoming, and lacked customer service and sales skills which they really should have considering they're trying to sell $2,000 dogs. If you look up their Chicago store that was closed, you'll see others complaining about being sold sick dogs. Thankfully for me I saw the red flags here and I found a reputable breeder who had AKC Pomeranians.

Our dog groomer (who rejected a business proposal from the owner) told us that the store was kicked out of Illinois because of puppy mills and inhumane treatment of dogs. Absolutely horrible and disgusting place. They need to have animal control called on them immediately.
