All the self-checkouts with a belt were closed and lanes with cashiers were all closed. The only checkouts that were open were the smaller ones. It is fairly annoying to have to load part of your cart onto the the tiny table, bag, and put them into your cart. Do this a few times and hope that you didn't forget any items. On top of this you feel like you are in others peoples way as their try to process their entire cart. What a mess. Either keep the self-checkout lanes and allow people to checkout efficiently, or sufficiently man your cashier lanes and get rid of self checkouts. Doing whatever this mess is right now surely doesn't make me want to come back to shop at any walmart location.

Wisconsin was a beautiful state. I loved seeing the traditional red barns and pastures. There were fields of green for as far as the eye could see. I even saw a horse and buggy or two. All this before another beautiful Walmart sunset.

Gave this store another chance after seeing positive comments on the Platteville Facebook page. My first review was a one star. Shopping cart guy was kind and took a cart over to a lady that couldn’t walk well. Auto staff was very helpful and friendly. Most of the other staff seems friendly and willing to help compared to other locations. Store is cleaned and well stocked also.

Go in and get whatever groceries/items you can find because grocery workers won’t know where anything is. Then scan your own groceries and bag them. Mobile app is decent and large selection of goods. The walmart bakery did do an excellent job on cupcakes. The bakery employee was very kind and helpful and got our order in for the same day even though they ask for a 24 hour notice for any custom orders. Super pleased with how they turned out.

This place has gone downhill in the last 5 years. They never have enough lanes open even though they are primarily self check so they don't even require a worker. The lanes that are open are always out of bags with employees just standing around. Always out of stock with most items no matter the day/time (ie. A product I have been trying to buy has not been stocked in over 6 months). Wish they weren't the only big dog in town so we weren't forced to shop here. They could use a lesson from Aldi.

Hate they don't have a mother room or 2 family bathrooms. As I always see workers going in to the family room so it can't be use. Or the family room is out of service. Bc having the changing table in the normal bathroom right out in the open sucks. Kids deserve privacy when getting charged just like adults having stalls.

I love how this store carries brand new products I've never seen or heard of before. And the Associates there are so helpful! Best Super Center Around!

The security guard they hire calls the cops on you before you can even check the store hours on the door. Why post the hours on the door if you aren’t going to let people read them? He also works in an unmarked car, with 2 dogs and his child, and has no uniform. It’s very sketchy to be approached by a vehicle like that out of the blue, especially when the guy is extremely rude and patronizing.

This Walmart location in Platteville is a nice sized super Walmart. It was clean, well stocked and I saw more selection there than some other nearby Walmart stores. I personally appreciated that the International Food aisle had more variety (not wonderful, but better) than the other Walmart stores I frequent.

Walmart has made a feelExtremely uncomfortable due to their tendency to hire racist employees. There was a white male employee who stared me down the entire time I was at self-check. I forgot an item so I left my cart at the checkout, paying for all the items that I had already bagged. Leaving my recipe in the machine, in such a rush to get home. Once I returned to my cart where I had left at self-checkout, the white male who was staring at me told me that I had forgotten to pay for my water and that he checked my receipt. I told him I did pay for my water then I grabbed my recipe and showed him exactly where I had paid for my water. I felt like the man was going to hold me hostage for the items that I BOUGHT! I say this because he then tells the employee at the exit/entrance that I am allowed to go. I already have extremely bad anxiety. Where am I supposed to go if I can't even go to my local Walmart without being racially profiled? I am devastated. This is absurd and completely absurd unacceptable. I am so disappointed.

The workers are competent and friendly. The store is manageable. The layout is easy enough to memorize. It's a one-stop shop for most things. I appreciate the variety of health food products.

Very disappointed with total lack of cashiers at times. Customers should get paid wages for self-checkout.This is sad for the customers and for lost jobs. Many people no longer support Walmart because of self-check out.Otherwise a clean store and friendly employees.

I bought one item, a thermo bottle, bought it in full view of the door guard. He asked to see my receipt, I showed it, then returned it. If they are supposed to check a % of receipts, checking one he knows is ok is a disservice to the store. Saving him paperwork.

This is one of the nicest Walmarts around. The help I receive at the pharmacy and deli is really nice. Other than them only having one or 2 cashiers open at any given time, I like going there.

Can't hardly ever seem to get chicken lately and lots of other shelf items seem to be out of stock but I guess that's just due to all the BS going on in the world. Don't really like all the self checkout lanes either. If you're going to pay people to hover around the self check lanes just put them in a normal lane and make people happy that they are getting good service and feel appreciated for coming to your store
