Love, love, love this hotel!! Their staff are always amazing!! Shout out to Darrell from the front desk and his cheese burger book bag, you made our stay absolutely amazing!! They are very courteous, helpful, kind, and make your stay absolutely relaxing and stress free!! Clean rooms, accommodating staff and relaxing atmosphere. Wish they had a little more variety for breakfast but either way much better than my recent stay in Darlington, wi. Thank you guys!!Walkability: Quick trip a block away, next to taco bell and KFC, Walgreens on the corner, dunkin donuts adjacent.

Rooms are well kept (smells little off). Love that my room had a sliding door to the back patio overlooking the creek, (half don't). They do accept pets for $10 per night. No pool, hot tubs been out of service for the longest time, and will say it is included on website.( would call beforehand). 1 treadmill and 2 bikes for "gym/ game room". Breakfast is standard, Overall a good price for location and quality. FYI rated at $75 per night when stayed through 3rd party website . I believe they're hotel rated near $90 per night.

Came here for my UW Platteville tour came here on Friday and went to the tour on Saturday. Can't complain. Pretty good overall. Was definitely staying here again because there are trails and a Kwik Trip nearby. All the amenities you need in Wisconsin. Beds, comfy and TV weren't bad. Good channels and breakfast was good. Cool idea that you can make your own waffles. Nice, hot and fresh!Nearby activities: Lots of trails around here. That's all I have to say. Everything's really close by do to it being a college town

Room smelt of must & mildew.. Curtains were filthy and dingy...sliding door to outside didn't properly lock...building was behind the main building over a cement bridge...charged $139.00 was scared to even think of getting in the bed... garbage outside the building, dirty towels inside the doors from other guests..hoping for a refund....luckily we found a room at the Holiday Inn Express that was fantastic!!

We were located in the back building. Very limited parking. Main doors to building are not locked. Room was extremely musty, almost unbearable so we cranked the ac. Rooms overall need updating, there's a lot of things falling apart.Breakfast is very limited. Mostly prepackaged items from Walmart. Coffee was decent.Overall, in its current state the rates shouldn't be over $100, it's a bit steep. I'd deal with it for under $50. They definitely take advantage of jacking the rates up being one of the few hotels in Platteville.Front desk employees were friendly at least

Not bad. Over priced for the stay. The staff didn't bother to inform me about breakfast or ask how my stay was. There was a group of Hispanic men blaring mariachi music outside my room till late and cooking on the patio. They also had a tv blaring down the hall. Not alot of breakfast choices. It was a waffle, muffin. Cinnamon roll or oatmeal. Coffee and juice.

We checked in late without a reservation with out two small dogs in tow. We were given a discount on the pet fee. We were given a room in the building behind the main hotel. It was very dark and ominous with the wall of trees that lined the parking area. The sliding doors appeared worn and dated, but the room was clean, spacious and quiet. Our room had 2 queen beds with the softest linens and fantastic pillows. As we fell asleep my husband commented he wanted that bed. I agreed and added that we could fit 2 queen beds in our room at home.We woke rested and ready to continue our trip. Miles down the road my husband commented again about the comfort of the mattress and the fragrance of the room and bedding. He never notices such things, but he was thoroughly impressed and we will definitely stay here again when we visit the Platteville area!

Very clean room and the staff was so friendly! We were traveling with our dog (we found out pet friendly hotels can be questionable), this place is in a beautiful little park with trails. It has been recently renovated (hardwood floor) and was very clean and comfy. Every employee we ran into was super friendly and pleasant to chat with for a minute.

The front desk person always has a smile on their face and is very helpful with information and directions to where I want to go. I am absolutely disgusted! My company rented 4 rooms for 4 employees. The hotel over booked and gave us two rooms but only 3 beds. We complained and the hotel resorted rooms around so we had two beds in each room but we ended up in a room that reeked like smoke. The room even has multiple signs that say no smoking. I am sensitive to cigarette smoke and feel sick when I smell it. I’m writing this as I sit in my room wondering how I’m going to get a good nights rest. I’m a very disappointed with this super 8 and would not recommend it!Oh and by the way the bath tub was really clogged and disgusting as it would drain really slowly while taking a shower. This was just from taking a shower.

I had a pre-paid reservation and came down sick. I understand not refunding, but they would not even accommodate and change the dates for me. If I would have gotten sick 8 hours earlier I could of cancelled. They rather you come sick and get others sick.

This is our 3rd year of staying at this establishment for an annual trip, and for the first time we were highly disappointed. We always stay in the back building for the privacy and easy access to the trail. When we arrived in our room the heat was off and it was so cold we could see our breath. The toilet wouldn't flush right away because it was frozen. So we cranked the heat all the way up and left for food in hopes things would get better. After almost 2 hours our room was still freezing, only getting warm enough to not be bundled up and under blankets around 3 a.m. Our queen bed that was requested was more the size of a double. When we went to shower the next morning, the water was brown from not being run in who knows how long. The carpet could definitely use a good stretching so it's not rippled in the middle of the floor. Lastly, when checking out, the young clerk met us with a sigh of exasperation, like asking her to get out of her chair to get me my receipt was too much to ask. Definitely a low point in our trip. Hopefully the next guests have more to look forward to.

When we went into our room, my best friend went to go to the bathroom and it was completely demolished! They had construction going on, and she hurt her foot. It was room 123. Then the staff switched us to another room that was freezing-room 103. They could've at least offered to upgrade us.Great breakfast though. I still have a picture of the bathroom.

The main building was remodeled, so I heard. The front desk person was cordial and kind upon check in. We were in the back building, literally had to drive to it. Entered with a mask on and could smell the freshly washed carpets in the hallways. Entered the room and it appeared clean with a "view of the creek." Then I took my mask off. Yuck! The smell of old, possibly had been wet before, carpet hit me. I was hopeful the air conditioner would bring in fresh air but no luck. I barely slept, the smell was aweful! If you get a green carpet room you may want to reconsider.

Overall experience was alright . I am not the one to usually get a motel at all, but since I live 3 hours away and need to do something at 8, I didn't want to have to drive really early . I got the one room with two beds, since I came with another person . Rooms were clean . Bathroom was good . Although I wish they had more open outlets that I could use closer to the bed . All the ones that were close had other important things plugged in, but that really didn't bother me . There is a back door looking out at a stream which was a nice view . Although, I think for a one room two bed it was a little pricey . I paid just a little bit over $90 for a one night stay . But it was good .

I come every year for a family reunion. Always very welcoming. We have two small dogs and like that we stay in a back building. Simple breakfast offered, thankful for fresh fruit & hot coffee for me, waffle machine & OJ for hubby. Clean & friendly!Rooms: We aren't used to air conditioner fan running all night, but better than being hot & sticky. Rooms & beds are comfortable.Food & drinks: Breakfast is simple. OJ, waffles, small yogurt, granola bars, small muffins, coffee, tea, older looking apples & oranges. When we got there 1 small breakfast sausage. Wish at least there was hard boiled eggs & bananas. But content.

I have stayed in 3 motels in this area since I came here to go to work. This one but before that another Super 8 in Dodgeville and then a Best Western also in Dodgeville. This one by far is the best! The owner, desk clerk and the cleaning service are just wonderful. When you work on the road motel to motel out of a suitcase and get off work after a 10-12 hour work day and come in to a clean room and friendly faces it's just great. Cleaning ladies seem to go above and beyond. The owner is very friendly and has good maintenance. The lady at the front desk is a hoot always makes me laugh. You just don't know how important good friendly service is until you have to deal with not so good service after a long hard day everyday! So a big shout out to ALL the employees at Super 8 in Plattesville, WI. Nice, clean, rooms at affordable prices. Brown bag to go breakfast in the mornings and with a smile. Definitely 5 ⭐

The attendant at the front desk was very nice. I went to my room and it has been redone since I was last there. Everything looked nice and new. Great TVs. The breakfast in the morning was about average for what I would expect with the hotel of this price but I did not have any issues with it.

It's been a few years since I stayed at the Super 8 in Platteville, and I have to say it's gotten a lot nicer. The rooms smelled clean, we're spacious, and the beds were decently comfortable. It's a great location, walking g distance from the downtown bars and a few restaurants right next door like Fiesta Cancun. For how much cheaper it is than the country inn next door, I think it's a great deal

Found out upon arrival that we would be placed in the building behind the main hotel and that since we didn't book through them directly we could not be moved. Not the best considering we had two small children with us. The next morning our TV wasn't working, our hotel phone was broken and the toilet clogged easily. Breakfast was subpar and wasn't the easiest to get to with a two year old in the cold damp weather. Was told nothing could be done to remedy the problems we had, was just apologized to. Will not stay here again.
