I had been trying to get a job done on my early 2000's truck for almost two months. I went three different places. One scheduled me and then told me they couldn't get it done when I dropped it off. Why that couldn't be figured out before I wasted my time driving there? I don't know.The second time trying to get the job done, I dropped it off at a dealer early in the morning, only to find out that they didn't have the parts; so I made a trip for nothing. Found out that it would take two or more weeks just to get AC Delco knock sensors. I get it, GM doesn't make these specific knock sensors anymore, but over two weeks is nuts when I can get them online myself and have them by the end of the week.Finally, called another shop and they wanted to charge me just to hook my truck up to their computer to figure out what was going on even though I told them exactly what the problem/solution was.I called Anderson Auto Repair and Katie set up the appointment as well as got the parts that were needed in a timely manner. They did a fantastic job! Truck runs like new. It has 320k miles and I can't even feel it running at stop lights now. It's that smooth.I had the intake manifold gasket, knock sensors, knock sensor wire harness, and valve cover gasket replaced. I also had the throttle body cleaned. My 5.3L GM V8 used to run very rough in the cold. The check engine light is off and all is well. I haven't seen any coolant in the oil either, meaning that the job was done correctly. The price was also very fair. If you want a job done right, these folks are the ones you want. I wholeheartedly recommend Anderson Auto Repair! Great job guys!

Needed an emergency fix in time to get home for Christmas, Anderson referred towing and got the car in shop quickly. The part needed was identified and obtained within 24 hours and it was ready to pickup the next day. They were very communicative through the whole process by Text. Walked in to pay and was informed of a student discount which was awesome. Also got a detailed report of wearing parts of the car for free which is nice as I do most of the work on my car myself. Overall great experience, very professional and valuable service.

My son is a student at the University in Platteville, and needed a new alternator. The auto parts store recommended Anderson auto repair. They replaced the alternator for the price they quoted, and made a few other simple repairs. They were able to schedule the service quickly and finished on time while keeping me up with the process via text. They recommended other thing that needed attention without being pushy about getting them done. I would highly recommend their service.

Though I didn't get my car fixed here, the receptionist was extremely kind and helpful when I stopped in mid road trip with a check engine light. They pulled the codes and told me the issue would not stop me from driving the two hours home where I could get repairs close to where I live. They were correct, and I'm very grateful for the advice.

I found Andersen Auto and sent an email to them through their website. They promptly responded with kindness and offered to get my car in as soon as the next morning! Within the same day, they finished the repairs and thoroughly explained everything they did and what was wrong. Definitely the best place to get your car fixed in Platteville. Very reasonable prices (especially for college students) and excellent service.Showed me what was wrong with my car so I could see it myself and didn’t push any unnecessary repairs like many others. They definitely know what they’re doing and try to get the best price on parts. I’ll definitely come back if I need to get my car fixed again.

I needed to find a shop near Platteville so I could drop it off going to work. I was a little nervous to go to a new shop as I didn't want to get taken advantage of. Anderson's was the best place I could have gone. They were kind on the phone and in person. They took the time to ask me questions and know what price I was comfortable with before needing authorization. I never felt pressured to do any repairs and the lady at the front/co-owner (Katie I believe) was so great. She made sure to explain everything to me so that I could understand and offered me a ride to work, though I didn't need it. Great service and honest pricing.

People here are very nice, got a really cute dog too! I just needed an oil change, but they did a checkup on a lot of things as well for no extra charge. They found out my brakes are going to need a repair, but instead of pushing me to do it now for some more money, they told me to ride out my brakes until they are screaming. I had some car trouble as I was just passing through on a Friday afternoon. No one else in the area could help me, but Anderson Auto Repair said they would squeeze me in. Keep in mind, it's 3:45 on a Friday afternoon. Within 90 minutes they had all of my spark plugs, boots, and gasket replaced on my 6 cylinder engine and I was on my way. Everyone was so nice and the price was very fair.Thank you guys for helping me get back on the road!!!

What can I say about Andersons that hasn't already been said. First off I had an issue with my car not starting randomly for a little while now. I took it to a couple of shops and let them have it for multiple days. Had everything from a crankshaft to a door actuator replaced and the actual issue of random non starts still persisted. My mom suggested Andersons after all the money I had spent on the issue to still not be resolved. They figured out what was wrong with my car, and finished some pretty extensive work in a day! They didn't try to upsell me or overcharge they were very honest about everything from the beginning. It was so nice to be treated with respect and fairly, as a female, that can be hard to find at mechanic shops. The work was pretty expensive as well and they were even kind enough to work with me on payment. I will definitely be bringing my car back (and I live in Oshkosh!) and suggesting to all my friends and family I wish I could give 10 stars! :)Service: Exhaust

I have brought my car here 3 times so far! The first time was very last minute with a broken brake line. They got me in that day and it was fixed in about an hour! Very friendly! Explains everything that happened and what they did and why. They are never pushy as to what "needs" to be fixed but just fixed what I asked them too. Would highly highly recommend! Anderson Auto Repair is a rare find in a world of dishonest and sloppy auto shops! They fit me in quickly and performed the necessary maintenance on my vehicle at a reasonable price. If you think all auto repair garages are crooks, then you haven't been to Andersen Auto. Dan & Kate check all the boxes. Been using them for two years on my 15 year old pickup with 200000 miles. They carefully explain the problem, the solution, and the cost. Cost always seems to be less than the quote. I guess they only charge for what they do. These guys provide great, friendly, small town kind of service. Their hourly labor rate is extremely competitive and they’re extremely flexible with your needs as well.They’re the only shop my wife and I have used since we moved to Platteville, I wouldn’t see a good reason to go anywhere else.
