This place has so many memories for me. My friend moved to Florida, but his family kept his camper up here, so when he comes up I get to come to the campground and see him. I usually only see him 3 times a year so its really fun. I also met my girlfriend here. It's super fun, I stayed in a cabin one time, it was very small, but clean and nice. Come during Halloween, it's really fun looking at all of the decorations on the campers and carts. Overall 100/10, absolutely amazing, one of my favorite places to be, ever!Food & drinks: Very good food at the bar, wonderfully place.

I will start off my review with saying, there is nothing wrong with this campground. I am simply posting a review so that others learn from our experience. This campground is on the tighter side of things, the roads are narrow and the spots are not that big. The amenities were in good shape and the pool area is awesome, and I have zero complaints about the staff. This was just not what I expected from an environment standpoint. Its more so a "party" campground than anything. If this is what you're looking for, this is absolutely the place for you. If you're looking for a quiet getaway like we were, I wouldn't pick this place. They have a dance floor, and blast music until 11pm and most of the time the adults are hanging around drinking while their kids are running wild. Again, this isn't a negative review, just something for people to reference when planning their trip here. If my children were a little older, I think we would have absolutely had more fun and maybe when they are older we will be back.

So far this place is on our top list. Our full hook up was just about 2min walk to everything. Everyone works very hard to keep everything clean and clean it was including bathrooms and showers. Got to really love them big old trees and shade, just about like a forest feel. Camp site spacing was huge like 50 feet apart or more, there is not a lot of full hook up's, they mostly cater to seasonal folks. This place is not huge or small, just the right size so you don't feel like a sardine in traffic, we felt relaxed and comfortable. Restaurant has very good food, our liquid lunch was well done by the bartender. There is plenty of activities, even teenagers gave up their phone and went to play, that is a miracle in it's self LOL.During our stay we did have to take cover and shelter in place do to severe storms, which brings up another issue, no sirens of any kind anywhere. Considering we are all staying in tin can's it would not end well for anyone. Thank god cell service was pretty good. So, there is so much more to tell you, but you should just go there and check it out for yourself. After each outing our family votes, everyone voted to return.

We choose to stay in a area that's a little more roudy, but ever campground has one. Sites had plenty of room. Plenty of things to do with the kids. Nicest pool area I've ever seen at a campground. Showers were big and clean. Never knew I liked bingo but it was a blast. My little one won 30 full size candy bars, shoulda seen his face. Big bar area with good food, those breakfast burritos are massive!

My first time here, ever. This place is amazeballs!! Friend rented a cabin, I wasn't sure what to expect, so I looked at the website. Well, the website reeeallly doesn't do it justice. Wayy better than what it looks like. The cabin? Pristine! The service? We had an issue with the toilet, they were there within 5 mins, problem solved, with a smile! We had a big fire the first night, next morning the fire pit was full of ash. Called, they came an emptied it immediately, with a smile! The pools are warm and fun!The lake is a blast with several floating trampolines, etc!Quiet time is 11, and of course we were up past that hanging out and having fun, no hassle like other places. We chilled by 12 of course, but it was nice not being 'policed', if that makes sense. The bar? Best bloody Mary I've had in years! And a rocking late night scene if you're into that!Restaurant? Excellent food!Booze Bingo was a blast! They gave away several hundred beers, and several hundreds of dollars, even tho I didn't win lol had a great time playing...Golf carts! So many cool camps with cool, welcoming people!I've been to hundreds of festivals, and this place felt like that, but better. Can't recommend it enough.Worth every single penny. If you're considering going here, stop thinking about it and book it.

First thing, this place is a party campground. The beach you can't swim in it has tons of weeds. The pool is small and overcrowded and you can't do much but stand in one spot. Gulf cart go super fast at all hours even past 11pm. People play music and still have there Loud get togethers outside without acknowledging that it's quiet hour. No security to drive around to enforce rules. I would not recommend staying here to anyone.

Always a great time spent with family and friends here. Some of the newer staff need a little more training on prices and info but other than that they are super friendly! Highly recommend staying here! See the POA family again next year!

They offer many activities and the pool, and small lake are fun. A lot of golf carts at night, well all day. Staff are friendly.Food & drinks: There's a bar where you can get a full meal, drinks and breakfast.

Idk what all the fuss is about this place. The good: park is clean as far as landscaping and trash goes. Restaurant food was good and nice bar. Staff was all very friendly. Sites have great shade. (Counter effect to that no grass lots of sand on site)The bad: pool is way too small. Staff members say they adding on 100 more sites. YOUR POOL IS TOO SMALL NOW! I hope it’s planned as part of the addition. The swimming lake is a swamp with beach. Yes middle is clean but edge is all weeds and lily pads. Inflatables are nothing special. Roads have speed bumps everywhere to keep speeds down. I didn’t want to fly on golf cart but I really don’t want to drive over speed bump every 50’.Overall it’s not horrible place but feels like a place you’d go to visit grandma at her seasonal site. Wouldn’t bring my family back again.

I'm a local and absolutely love that I can take my kids all day to a park, lake, pool, arcade, food and much more for only 5 dollars for the entire day! People camping there always look like they are having a great time, renting golf carts dancing in the pavilion, kid friendly and so welcoming to say the least. I love this place! The lake has so many floating activities such as a trampoline out on the water!

This resort is a village of decked out trailers with two pools, a small weedy lake with beach and available paddle boards, canoes, etc. The ice cream is delish. Tons of activities for families and fantastic fries. Folks drive their decked out golf carts around the expanse just for fun. A lot of kids running safely around everywhere, lots of perpetually drunk very friendly adults. Weird that there are no squirrels or chipmunks.... It's really like nowhere else. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.

Has got worse over the years. This year was really boring. Beach is too small. The swimming spot in the lake is full of weeds and the inflatable structures on the lake are deflated. The new structure they just put into the lake is too hard to get on for anyone that i have heard from. Need better pool management because it was dirty and gross. Rules about golf carts are excessive and annoying. And my people were harassed by workers/managers.

10/5 stars if I could! We camp at different camp grounds all summer long. We are usually tenters, or renters, but recently got a camper. Our first time using it was this past weekend. When we arrived to the campground, we realized we had a blown tire. The gentleman took us to our site, and was back in about 5 minutes with a Jack and tools to get the tire off. He had the tire off, before we could figure out how to get the spare off. He put on the spare, and boom! We were in business. We went into town and replaced the tire on the rim. Chris was back within minutes to swap out the tire so we had our new tire on. I mean this was SERVICE!Through out the weekend, we did various activities with the kids. They have free activities, and some had a cost. EVERYTHING was So reasonably priced! Even the bars costs compared to other campgrounds was cheap! The bartender Christy absolutely rocked! The bathrooms were unbelievably clean, showers were free (some campgrounds actually charge for showers) and the pool was set up great! My only knock on this place, was the beach. Once you got to a certain depth, it was seaweedy. But if that’s all I have to complain about, I think they are doing just fine! Excellent experience. We are already booked for next year!

Excellent campground! We have been coming here for 20 years. We have seen it grow and the continue to make improvements. Everything is clean and kept up! There is so much to do. We love the new pool! Now that our sons are older and don't come with my husband and I we have been eating at the restaurant more often. The food is excellent! All the staff is very nice and helpful! We have never had a bad experience here! We will continue to come back! We will see you next year!

This was our 2nd time camping at the Pride of America .And once again our experience was just as bad as the first time if not worse. There are just to dam many Golf Cars driving around. Some had younger kids driving them. I went to take my dog for a nice walk and it was like every few minutes that "WE" we're expected to move out of the way for a golf car. It was nuts. You would expect them to slow down and give me room. But NO!! They just take over the road and don't care. And some of campers had their music turned up pretty loud. My son was trying to get his stereo to work on the camper but no luck. He wanted so bad to drowned out the neighbors with some really loud "Here Come the Mummies" music. So disappointed that it wasn't working. Doubt if we will ever go back again. So sad because my in-laws had a permanent site there in the 90's and the camp ground then was very pleasant and quiet. And ALOT more fun.

Very fun campground, nice clean place that has some very friendly staff on top of that! Stopped up to visit my family that was camping and swim for the day. They have a really nice outdoor pool, and splash pad area for little kids, as well as a lake with many different fun things too do like a trampoline on the water. And an inflatable raft adults and kids can climb up on and jump off into the lake! Nice little restaurant on the grounds, with a bar inside and drinks and beverages are very fair priced! Highly recommended this campground for family's with children, or adults looking for a nice quiet getaway the staff makes sure everyone is well accommodated! And plenty too do for kids all around the campground a

Came here for the weekend, wanted to stay someplace that had plenty of activities. Unfortunately most camp grounds do not have alot going on in the spring. NOT the case here ! We brought our 85 yr old grandmother and had a private painting class with Peggy and her assistant they were both amazing and so patient with Grandma . Won a meat raffle at the bar, made out like bandits 😁. People were friendly. Can't ask for much more

There is so much fun stuff to do here. They have a pool, a lake, a store, a restaurant/bar, a playground, a bouncy pillow, and lots of planned activities. The rental cabins are comfortable and tidy. It is a little loud on a weekend night, but people seem to respect the 11 o'clock quiet time pretty well. In all, it's a fun weekend for the family without a lot of planning, packing, or driving.

I have camped there for 1 week every summer for Wet N' Wild weekend and it is the best!!! The locals are awesome to talk too. The Poker Run is a great Adult social event and kids love the activities and attractions that go on there, were actually on our way up to camp right now. And the staff is very friendly, they love talking stories with you. LOVE IT!!!
