I’m giving four stars instead of five because they do not pay their employees enough for what they do at this location.Countless times I have been helped without asking with coupons ex. By the manager and an older gentleman who has been working there for some time now. I have witnessed the young man who manages the store pull money out of his own pocket to help others who where a little short. I know enough people who work for this chain of stores and heard that employees aren’t paid enough and holidays are almost zero, and continually cut down over and over.I sincerely hope upper management takes good note of this and the employees are compensated better I do realize it’s not a skilled trade like electrical or machining but considering how little they are paid is an insult for what they do out of goodness of heart and trying to just help others at their own expense .

This place has really gone downhill. Its hard to get around with a cart because of all the stuff in the aisles. The employees seem to care more about smoke breaks than making the store look presentable. The bathroom was dirty and looks like a place for storage instead of a public restroom.

Horrible service, there is rarely someone at the register. Today I looked for the bell to get someone's attention and it's been removed. Two employees came out from the office in the back and completely ignored me continuing their conversation. I asked if anyone was working and the one women yelled through the store for someone else to come to check out my purchase! I left my 6 items. The store is a mess, empty boxes and of products cluttering the isles. I will not return.

This store has really gone down hill! It's very cluttered and the floors are not well kept. However, I also know that the company doesn't allow the store to have the proper amount of staff. They've gone through 3 manager in less than a year!!! Corporate needs to stop trying so hard to save a buck and assign an appropriate number of staff to clean this place up! The managers can't do it alone!!

Good stuff but incredibly unfriendly cashier. (Woman with short blonde hair). I've been there so many times and she's NEVER been friendly. Not even a hello or thank you. Good grief. Learn some good customer service skills lady!!

I very rarely ever give a review. However I recently stopped at this location empty boxes just left laying around in the crowed isles of the store it was a mess. And DON'T use the restroom there. It was absolutely DISGUSTING.

Employees aren't friendly, aisles are often blocked with stock carts, I've had to wait for 15 min for an employee to come to check me out. This place is convenient but not good service at all.

I'm in town from Alabama visiting my daughter and gr.sons. I'm not sure if I want to come to this store if the older blonde/short haired female poor excuse for a manager is there. Any DG I've ever been to the staff has Always been helpful and friendly. I just might have a word or 2 to say to this grumpy OLD fart if she is there. ??? God bless DG!

The cashier your speaking of is the manager and your comments are on spot! However Karen and most if the rest of the crew make up for her unpleasantness with there warm personalities as well as overall hard work and kbowledge of the store.😃

Sad but yet glad to hear i'm not the only one who thinks that old cranky cashier needs to go. Have stopped in n shopped there since moving to the area as i believe in supporting the local small businesses. Today was the last straw with that crandy cashier. I'll take my business else where.

Love this place ! I hate going to fight Walmart crowd so if I can get it at Dollar General I will go there every time and their prices are unbeatable so that's my reasoning is fast and convenient and not so big and the people are nice they always greet you

Dollar general is always a good place to go when your looking for the right things. I got a hand held mixer for $10 does a better job them mine at home it was for a house warming gift .

In and out quickly...like most stores they dont move their items around alot...its very nice...their prices are good too (check out the clearance/markdown sections when your there)
