I needed cat food and I get your heartland brand I couldn't find it and the young lady Emma or Emily the cat girl was done work and the store was busy. She took time to help me find a food for my cat. She didn't need to do that she had to catch a bus to get home. She was wonderful. My cat however doesn't like the food, and you are out of heartland and it was so hard to get a food she liked. She's like a new cat on that food. Please restock soon. She's very picky. She just came off kidney food. That's just too expensive to keep feeding her if she doesn't need it. Your food was recommended by a customer of yours back in Pennsylvania.

We paid and signed up for a training session. Had an emergency come up where we had to reschedule. We called and someone had told us she would get back to us about rescheduling. NO Call but the we’re happy to just take our money.. smh I’ll never go back. I used to shop there no more.. not giving a place my business if their just going to take my money and not even make effort take make one phone call. Wanted to sign up for a 6week course after but I’m now glad we didn’t. I’ll take my money and dog to petsmart now where the reviews training are better anyways.

Bought a vehicle pet barrier that turned out to be the wrong size. It happens.Problem is, I was busy and took a while to try and fit it to find out it was the wrong size and apparently there is a 60 day return policy that I am just outside of.So, I get it that they will say it's just policy and it's my fault.But I don't like the policy and think it's a poor one so I get to write a review and if I so chose take my business to a competitor.From a commercial point of view it doesn't seem a good metric to me. I spend about as much per month on pet supplies of some sort as they item cost so I'm thinking you lose more than you gain here.Anyway, remember folks, 60 days so don't get busy doing anything else.

The female betta fish we bought died overnight, when we brought her back for a refund the clerk never even said “I’m sorry for your loss” or “I’m sorry that happened” or anything of the sorts. She seemed unphased like it happens every day. She also said we need to go put the fish by the marine section, which seems like asking a lot of the customer who is saddened by the dead fish already, now we have to carry it around the store looking for where we are supposed to put her? I also verbally said “we had the water right and everything she just wasn’t thriving” and the clerk didn’t even acknowledge me or reply, so I said…”if you care at all.” Which she clearly did NOT care since she still did not reply or even turn in our direction. She asked if we wanted a receipt or to switch it out for a live one but we declined, and went to a different pet store to get our betta. (Who is doing just fine in the same tank setup by the way). Altogether not a positive experience even if the fish would’ve survived.

The sales attendant that helped us, was awesome and knew her stuff. We were looking to buy a pleco to go with our goldfish. She helped us with picking some things that would better our aquarium and help our fish.

The staff was quite helpful and friendly. The store is well lit and clean. They seem to have a reasonable amount of products and selection. Pets are allowed inside the store. Parking is good and it is easy to find.The only downside is that the prices are a bit higher than other places.

I called. Asked if you had a specific product and if you price matched. Was put on hold. Told yes to price match. Plenty of product available, no need to have set aside. Got to store 2 1/2 hrs later. No product available. Was accused by both staff of lying on all aspects of my phone call. Yelled at because I walked in just before closing and waited until my dogs were out of food. Was reluctantly given a nice discount so I could make my purchase and leave.

We visit petco at least a few times a week for training, grooming, and shopping. They have everything we need for our pets and great customer service. We have one of our dogs enrolled in vital care and have received great perks! We love petco!

Absolutely disturbing to find dead fish in every tank!! I was in the fish section for roughly 45 mins no one came to ask me if I needed help or anything. Couldn't even buy a fish they ALL had fish rot. Poor things! Fish have feelings too!

Drove 2 hours (round trip) after calling to see if they had hermit crabs. They had 3. Got there to pick 1 out, all 3 were on reserve. Can't you state that on the phone!! NOT HAPPY

I took my 15 week old terrier to get groomed for the first time. Never take your dog there to get groomed. The lady wants to tell me That they want the best experience for my dog for the first time. Getting her haircut, and what do they Nic her nail and make her bleed After I told her that her nails did not need to be touched because they were already done. Then they only offer 20% credit. Why would I want credit? I would never take my dog there ever again. you guys failed at making a puppy's first time good.

Went in, found product, dog food and treats, cashier wasn't overly friendly. The people have changed alot in the way they talk and respond to paying customers. Petco, price wise, isn't a real cheap place.

I go here for live food a couple times a week. Always has crickets, but the worms are dead or turning into beatles. Really old stock or just not taken care of. ALSO... I get harassed every time about Rewards, multiple donations, and when when I turn the rewards down, they insist on telling me how easy it is. I DON'T WANT REWARDS! I'm always nice about it, but one of these times I may become rude because it's getting old fast. Do you not want me to spend money at your business? Can I get a card that I swipe that allows me to just buy things like the "good old days?" I just don't know what happened where I can't buy something without being harassed, or charity shamed every place I go. It's insane I want it to stop..

The customer service in the main store is always great, very educational and they'll help you feel confident with your product choice. However, in the grooming salon, my dog has been turned away without trying to do her nails. Simply for having anxiety. As well as cutting nails to short when they are willing to do them. And making my dog uncomfortable. So the 4 stars are for main store employees.

Took my extra large dog in for her first grooming session today with McLeod. She was so good to Everest and Everest seemed pretty happy (and much cleaner) . Did a wonderful job!! All staff in the store was very friendly to Everest and I. We’ll definitely be back!

I recently purchased 3 angelfish from the Petco store in Onalaska, Wisconsin. After 2 weeks, it was obvious that these 3 fish had ick and spread it through my 55 gallon aquarium to my other angelfish, killing 2 of my adults that I’ve had for over 8 years. When I arrived in the store seeking help on how to treat ick, since I have never dealt with it before, not a single member of the staff there could help me or even said sorry. I looked at the angelfish in the tanks there, and they too have ick on them now, that is visible. So Petco in Onalaska continues to sell diseased fish and cannot even educate buyers on how to care for or treat it. I went to a different local pet store after and was helped immediately, educated and he stated he’s seen quite a bit of it recently with most of the people saying that it is coming from Petco fish. This is completely unacceptable. Please educate your staff members on how to first, take care of the husbandry and diseases of fish, and second, how so educate buyers in the future and to show a little compassion. All of the tanks need to be treated in Onalaska.

Items are stocked on the wrong pegs, and apparently as the customer the onus is on me to make sure I check the SKU numbers of all the products I purchase to make sure they have been stocked correctly. It was not 1 item in the wrong spot. There were 3 of them in the wrong spot. The tag said it was the item that I was purchasing. Staff were incredibly rude, and feel it is the customers job to make sure the store is stocked correctly. There are many other pet stores I can frequent. I can say I have no desire to be treated so rudely again. I do not work for Petco and it is not my job to police their poor work.

Employee Ezra (they/them/theirs) helped us with my bird return and was very nice about it. They actually knew what they were talking about and helped us figure out which ones are males and females. Very good costumer service way better then the last person that was there.

I went to buy cat food and meal worms. The worms were listed at 12.99. I checked out and looked at the receipt. The worms came up as 24.99. I asked for a manager to come to the front. She said. "That's me. You will have to get back in line." I told her they are listed at 12.99 and there is not even a spot for 24.99. She continued with. "If you want to process a return you will need to get back in line" i never did i wanted to return. I wanted them at the price posted, she kept saying, "well if you want to return them then get back in line. " i was pissed, i did express very sternly that I'm not looking for a return and i just left. It was quite frustrating to say the very least. This was the lady with the light mustsche at the Onslaska store. I really do NOT like her much. Anytime i have seen her, she acts like she is above everyone of the guests as though she's a queen full of rubies or something. She should NOT be a manager!
