*** Until changes are made I do not suggest supporting this business.Came in looking for cage selections, left in anger and disgust.The fish are usually in eh to the horrible quality that the saltwater are in and they never live very long after purchasing, but what got me was how they kept the other animals. They kept their frogs in what looked like repti-bark which is dangerous for frogs. Jungle tree frogs on dry bark is wrong on so many levels. Paper towel would be so much better.I cringed when I saw the budgies. I contacted a parrot rescue to confirm that some birds appeared ill. Three were pine-cone feathered, squinting, tail bobbing, and appeared lethargic. They had 0 enrichment and kept in a tiny cage with no stimulation, no toys, and not enough perch room, that is a miserable living condition for an intelligent animal. I didn’t even want to look at the other animals back there.If you are going to sell animals you need to research how they should be kept. Petsmart does so much better. I would support them Every day over this establishment.Please do better for these other animals or only sell fish.. It’s very clear you currently do not know or do not care to give them proper care.I hope the owner can see this and make a change. Would have approached in person had I not been the only one in store.This used to be a good store.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Got 84$ worth of fish and they all died the next day. Tried calling to speak with someone about the policy on returning dead fish, well no one would answer. When I finally got to speak to someone i spoke to a Man who was very rude over the phone and was laughing while I was trying to speak and explain my problem i had with my 5 fish dying the next day.said they only allow a 3day health policy and that, even with the dead fish frozen in. Baggy and my recite they will not refund me. Then tried to blame me for being the reason they died! 3 of them look like they have white spots and covered in ick or were sick. Will never return or recommend to anyone I know as the service was horrible and very rude. The animals they had are horribly neglected as well and in very poor conditions to even sell. Very unsatisfied! The Man that sold me them scared my 4 yr old daughter and has anger issues, throwing things around and smacking the card reader against the counter. We were also very rushed in buying her fish and when asking questions about some of the fish that looked sick with white spots we were told they were new fish and that they were perfectly fine. THAT was not the case.

Fish are way overpriced, They never make it it more than 24 hrs . I literally live 6 miles away. Tank cleanliness has been going downhill fast. I now just order my fish online directly and save money, get healthy fish, and larger fish not babies. My tank is pictured below.

After going here today with my cousin for aquarium items, I will not be returning back. The person who was there got very upset with their new card reader due to it declining mutiple times and started throwing it on the counter. This was with another customer while we were next in line. This also made us feel very unsafe too.

This is a SCUBA shop that also has a few exotic pets. We went in there to have a look around and it was not what we expected. The place reeked of animal waste, it was clear the animal side of the shop hadnt been cleaned in a while, and half the tanks were empty. Very disappointed.

I got my beautiful Bearded Dragon from here. The staff was very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. They made sure I had everything I needed to care for it and shared some tips that they used with their reptiles. It was such a positive experience and I'll definitely be recommending people to go here if they need anything that Marineland may have to offer.

Great place to get all kinds of fish, snails, reptiles and other alternative pets. The owner is very knowledgeable about everything there. My example was just snails to keep our tank clean. All the big box pet stores have snails, but they die quick, breed, or just don't clean that well. Marineland introduced us to Zebra snails, while they are about twice the price of a mystery snail, they are amazing! 1 snail will keep 10 gallons of tank, crystal clean. Plus we learned they won't breed in fresh water! Perfect! Tell me anywhere else a pet shop owner would spend time to talk through, train and get you a single snail. The care shows as well as the quality!

After rehoming my 23 convict cichlids I contacted Marineland to help restock my 75 gallon aquarium and they were exceptionally helpful. I purchased a red shouldered severum, an electric blue acara, an angelfish, 2 pearl gouramis, and 2 different cory catfish. That was nearly two weeks ago and they are all extremely happy and healthy and have been since day 1. My first contact with Marineland was on the telephone and I received great advice explaining whether the fish I thought I wanted were going to be compatible with each other. Once getting to the store I met a different person than I spoke with on the phone, and he was just as helpful and informative. Thanks to them my nervous new setup was very successful. Definitely a great place to buy healthy fish with awesome advice on which fish will be happy together.

Been going to this place for 20 years. After buying RO water for years for my salt water fish I finally did some testing on the Ro they sell and it has a ph of 8.5 and tds readings over 400ppm. So I’ve been buying tap water for years no wonder my fish don’t do well! I talked to an employee and he said the owner never changes the filters and I’m the 7th person he’s had this conversation with and said to get my own Ro system the owner is going to continue to lose business. Not to mention the place is in bad shape not taking care of it at all

I stopped there to get an air tank filled for my paint ball marker! They have a lot of fish tanks! They sell other pets there as well!They also sell scuba equipment and also teach scuba there as well! The staff there seem very knowledgeable!

My daughter wanted to build an ocean reef tank. I had been there more than 20 years before, so we started at Marineland. Matt gave us tons of helpful information. This place is a great resource, and they are all about ethical , responsible pet care. We love going there. They always have something new and fun to look at. We cannot always get everything we want in town, but we try first. Love this local business!

Great place! Nice and different fish than the chain stores. They carry good products as well, prices are mostly fair. Only one staff person really knows his stuff, Matt. All of the other staff knows very little and is often “winging it”. No warranty on fish, which deters me from buying even the slightly pricier fish. Nonetheless, it’s a very enjoyable place to get aquarium supplies and fish.

This place is a treasure. I bought my first goldfish here nearly 50 years ago and recently saltwater fish for our new aquarium. The owner is very knowledgeable and conscientious. We hope to take his scuba diving lessons from him soon.

I handed my husband a piece of spider wood to buy amongst a lot of other stuff we had bought. On the way out the door realized it was $30 and walked right back in to return it. They wouldn’t, said in store credit only so I got a fish. It died on day 2 and they said I can only get 50% in store credit for the fish so they basically rip people off right in the open. Buyer BEWARE!

The place kinda looks unstable with the bigger tanks, it seems concerning. I've been sold multiple fish under the wrong name. Not just, "Oh, I gave you A, instead of B," but the fish were actually unlisted C's. Care was different then specified, and expected. I had to dig to find out what they were. I had lost one at that point due to inadequate water conditions, yet the staff seem overly confident, and treated the guest as though they were Incompetent. It does however have a pretty decent selection, but I did have an Ich outbreak after purchasing a replacement fish from them. Over all, it's better than Pet ___ . I suggest you shop here, but go in knowing what you're looking for, and what to look for when looking, and don"t ask too many questions. Otherwise you'll be there getting a lecture for a while.

Buyer beware! Nice people, however they do not offer any warranty on any saltwater fish what so ever! I purchased a sailfin tang from them at about 8:45 pm, the next morning it was dead for no apparent reason. My tank is completely healthy and established. I called them that day and asked if they would be willing to give me any credit back and they refused. So I had a fish for less than 12 hours and I'm out 50 dollars, not a happy customer! Additionally, they has incredibly high prices and most (not all) of their employees don't know the first thing when it comes to an aquarium. All they care about is the sale, once it leaves the building they could care less. Because of this instance, and the insanely high prices I will not be shopping there again.

Other reviews have indicated good service. I called them up as I was restarting my tank. He may have been joking, one guy said I could put rock and fish in all the same day. This is not ideal. I went in and another person was actually screaming at me about whether my lights were good enough for plants. Ill never go back.

I love it here. I can get the typical tropical fish but also ones you cannot get at the other stores. They’ve got Glass catfish, celestial pearl danios, white mountain minnows, just to name a few. The aquariums and equipment are all competitively priced. Great.

They were the only pet store with in an hour of were I lived that had more than just baby fish. Everywhere else just had baby fish which mine would of ate. They were also very informative on what steps we had to take and what we had to do.

Matt Heeter is very knowledgeable about pets and has answers for everything. We purchase only from this store. We never get treated poorly when we come to Marineland. Plenty of knowledge at this pet store.
