Kristy was fantastic with my boys! She took less than 2 hrs to get both of my boys bathed, groomed, nails and ears. They look and better yet, SMELL great! Will for sure be returning for her amazing service. Did I mention the price was completely do-able.

Wish I had an experience to share. But unfortunately today would've been our first appointment and she canceled via text this morning (I had an appointment at 1pm received a text at 7:45am). Don't get me wrong, i understand life happens, unexpected emergencies pop up, and some things are truly out of our control.Being in the appointment based customer service industry myself (I have been a hair stylist for over 25 years) I know "reviews" can be tricky sometimes. So i prefer to develop my own opinion based on my experience (good or bad) instead of reading other people's reviews. That being said, the first thing I look for in the first point of communication is professionalism. Had she canceled my appointment but offered a few options as far as days/times we could reschedule, my review/experience might have been different. For example, "I apologize but I have to cancel today due to a family emergency. I have 2pm tomorrow or 9am Friday available if you're interested. If neither of those work please let me know when you're available next and I will try my best to make it work. Again, I'm so sorry for the inconvenience this may cause." But to send me"I apologize but I have a family emergency with my daughter and need to reschedule. Sorry the inconvenience" and offer no resolution (available times/days to fulfill my appointment) told me that she doesn't value my time the way she does her own. If I treated my customers that way I would've been out of business before I ever started. Therefore, I'll take my money and time elsewhere.*If you've made it to this part of my review, I'd love any recommendations you may have on other groomers in or around Onalaska.

This lady canceled my appointment not one but twice! I’ve had to move my work schedual twice to acomódate to this appointment. Both times she texted me saying she had personal things in her life at this point if you’re that busy in your personal life, you shouldn’t be running a business. Think twice before booking with her.

I can’t really comment on the quality of KH Grooming’s work because she has canceled on me FIVE times at the very last minute. Fortunately, I made appointments with two other groomers in case this happened again but my dog is a shaggy mess because everyone is booked out. I heard she was a good groomer but she is not reliable. Would not recommend her.

We have taken our dog to KH Grooming once successfully and attempted two other times. I will say that when our appointment was kept the first time, we were satisfied with the grooming job. Our two other appointments were cancelled with less than 5 hour notice. Our dog is in need of a grooming appointment and we schedule them intentionally. We often have to rearrange our work schedules to accommodate the appointment which is fine however, it is frustrating when it is cancelled twice in a row. Maybe it's bad luck on our end. It's hard to get into a groomer on short notice as most quality groomers are scheduling months out. With the late cancellations and lack of notice, we can't continue to use this groomer.

It is definitely not easy to find a high quality groomer who cares not only about her reputation, but also about her fur clients. When we arrived, Kris dropped everything and greeted my dog first, getting on his level to pet and talk to him.She spent a lot of time with me figuring out what I want, while inserting her ideas and expertise. I trusted her within minutes. One of my favorite things is that she focuses on just one fur baby at a time. There are no cages or kennels- just her one appointment. Her space is open and clean, with just enough hair/fur that you know these pups are loved up. She has alternative ideas when a dog has other needs to make sure she gets the job done while the dog is comfortable in the process.When I arrived to pick up my pup, he looked very much like a gentleman! He looked exactly how Kris and I discussed.I am so impressed and will be scheduling here for a long time to come. Thank you!!

Kris does an amazing job! This was my dog’s first time here and he was so happy and comfortable and instantly bonded with Kris. She did an awesome job with his nails and he came home smelling so clean and his fur so soft and fluffy. He was able to run around in the back yard off leash while waiting for his appointment and there were toys for him to play with. Very affordable and definitely exceeded my expectations!

Kris is phenomenal. By the end of our session our grumpy dog was eating out of her hand - literally- and playing with her. This on the first visit! She has a basket of toys to end the session Onalaska playful note. She also gave our dog a GREAT haircut.

Kris was very nice, and I loved the way she groomed by only having one dog in at a time, letting me be in there with my anxious pup, and no cage drying. However, she canceled our grooming appointment three times in a row. My dog really needs the groom, and now I just can’t trust that she’ll keep an appointment. Going to have to figure out somewhere else that’s a little more professional with keeping their scheduled times. Very unfortunate because we would have loved to keep going there, but we need to be able to rely on the person. One time canceling, totally understandable. Three times, definitely not.

My dog loved Kris and so did I! You can tell she loves what she does. I felt so comfortable leaving my dog with her - I knew he was in great hands! Prices are great and the quality of her work is even better. I will definitely be going back!

Kris is very knowledgeable and does excellent work. I have a Border Collie that tends to get matted up easily so I take her to Kris to get bathed and shaved for the summer and I'm always amazed how great Trixie looks when I pick her up. There isn't anyone else that I would trust more with my dog's care. She is very professional and knowledgeable.

Kris is GREAT with dogs...I will drive an hour round trip to take my dogs to her because she is so good with them. Today she was fantastic dealing with our new dog who was a stray and from a rescue center. She took a ton of time working with our dog getting her use to the location, the table, the "tools". Was beyond patient when attempting to clip Moka's nails for what is presumed Moka's first time. I can't say enough good things about Kris!!!!

Kris gave our 2 girls (Golden Retrievers) the works. Both dogs were beautifully groomed, attention was paid to all the areas we asked . . .and more. For the Summer, we ask for their feathers to be cut back, which was done beautifully. Their claws were rounded down smooth, making it possible for them to make Therapy Dogs visits to Memory Care Unit residents.I was at PAWS, dropping off my girls for day care, and while I was there I peaked through the window, of the “Barber Shop” , where Kris does her magic. Kris didn’t know I was watching her working with someone’s fur baby. What I saw melted my heart. Kris was so loving and gentle with a squirmy pup, who wasn’t happy. Kris stopped and just loved on the little guy and eventually was able to start again. The pup started wagging his tail.If you’re looking for a groomer who is loving and kind, for your fur baby, I wholeheartedly recommend KH Grooming.

Kris gives good hair cuts but doesn’t handle pups with anxiety/fear well. She told me our dog doesn’t like her. Who justifies grooming issues by saying the dog doesn’t like her? He doesn’t like her for a reason...dogs don’t randomly dislike people. Won’t ever go back.

Have made appointments a month or more in advance, only to be canceled on the appointment day or a day before. Very disappointed with her lack of commitment and communication. I could excuse this once but this has happened too many times. We will take our business elsewhere.
