Today’s visit was unusually poor. It has reached the point where every visit is stressful before we arrive because we can almost assume there is going to be a problem. It is a shame that CVS is almost the only game in town with extended hours, and there have been a handful of employees that go above and beyond regularly. We had a partially filled prescription yesterday that they did not finish filling today for some reason, so we had to leave to pick up the kids from school and come back to get it. Upon returning, they had filled an updated prescription that was somehow received for refill a couple weeks early, and the original split prescription had yet to be filled. We stood visibly by the counter waiting to get it filled, and after about 45 minutes we went to the counter to see how things were going. We don’t have the app or text info. When we asked the response was “oh, the prescription’s been done”, and no one had made an effort to tell us. This is not the first time something like this has happened, but it was the last straw and we will be looking elsewhere from now on. There is no way share this grievance in the same way on their website, so I am doing it here.

Drove a hour to pick up a prescription. I don’t live here I’m just here for work. Had to clock out and hurry back. I was in line before 1:30…1:30 hit I was told to come back after 2 because it’s lunch time. NOWHERE DOES IT LIST A CLOSED FOR LUNCH ON THE WEBSITE. They couldn’t even take 2 more minutes and grab my prescription. Absolute garbage of a place.

Text message received " your prescriptions are ready for pickup" arrived at the location in Target of LaCrosse,WI.at 1:29 pharmacy is closed for lunch from 1:30 until 2. When I came back at 2 the line was 12 people deep with 1 attendant. Wasted 1 hour of my life on this pharmacy. I could go on but .......

So, I’ve been here a few times, it’s usually understaffed or my medication isn’t ready in a timely manner. Understandable. No big deal. But today my infant needed an antibiotic, husband went to pick it up, he waited over an hour.When he returned home I opened the antibiotic to find that it wasn’t reconstituted (still in powder form), and I didn’t even receive a syringe to give the medication or reconstitute it myself.Luckily I’ve worked as a tech in a vet clinic, I could do it myself, but that was THEIR job to do so that I don’t accidentally do it wrong and overdose/underdose my child. If I was anyone else I could’ve easily hurt my child.

Have had a few issues lately, but overall good experience was my usual response. Jen that works there on the other hand gets 10 stars for a review. She is nothing short of amazing. Always greets me with a beautiful smile, even after a long day,. She goes above and beyond whenever I have an issue with insurance or a recent profile issue. I go 17 miles out of my way just because of her. She is why I am a CVS customer!

Pharmacy is chronically under staffed. The pharmacy technicians bend over backwards to provide excellent customer service to at least make it tolerable to wait. At times the wait is extremely long, as the Pharmacist maybe working alone. Be prepared to wait between 15 minutes and 45 minutes. And if you do call, your call may go unanswered as the staff focus on the customers directly in front of them. CVS is not doing themselves any favor by over working the staff and under delivering on customer service. If you’re in a hurry CVS Onalaska, WI is not going to be a good fit for you. If you have the time, and are willing to look past the problems that you encounter with an under staffed pharmacy then the service provided by the technicians and Pharmacists might be the bright spot at this location.

The male pharmacist working on may 24th 2021 was rude. He embaressed me because I was picking up my 70 year old mom's perscription which was pain medication. He told me the doctors signature and my mom's signature looked too much a like. What does that mean? Besides both being in cursive I didn't see a resemblance. Then he said she wasn't in the system. But the assistant read my mom's information to me. We went there because her perscription would be a lot cheaper with the RX card that cvs sent her. Just to get denied. He then gave me the script back and told me I could have it filled somewhere else but he doubts anyone will fill it. We went back home an hour away and dropped it off at our local phillips pharmacy. No problems just a lot more expensive. Seems like your pharmacist is power hungry. We will not be going back there or referring anyone to do so. Why couldn't he just call the doctor and confirm?

Coming from someone who has actually worked in pharmacy (behind the counter): BAD. I also worked at a major retail pharmacy "behind the counter" during the pandemic onset. I get it - staff hours are reduced. Everyone is stressed. However, if you cannot figure out how to get my insurance to submit - perhaps admit as much versus telling me I just need to "transfer my prescriptions to XYZ pharmacy, as the insurance will be doing that as of the first of the year...". OK - it's still December, 2020. Last I checked, that's not 2021. Unfortunately, I haven't been highly impressed with this CVS since moving here this past summer. Perhaps they need to understand they're not the only "game" in town. Check the condescending attitudes, please. Take an extra 10 minutes to find out what an insurance hold up is. I know, I know....I've had to do this as part of the job. However, it is your job.

I have always gotten excellent customer service when I have filled prescriptions at this pharmacy. Previously known as Target Pharmacy, the staff is still the same as before; friendly and happy to help. Kudos to Adam, the pharmacy manager! He stayed late for me, as my wife was discharged from urgent care just before close. To top it off, it is still in a Target so you can complete your Target-run and get your prescriptions in the same place.

I used to like going here to get my prescriptions filled but that has changed. Every time I order a prescription re-filled, either online or by phone, I add on an extra 6 hours from when they say it will be done. They are NEVER done on time!! The service is still very friendly but they have a problem getting things ready on time. They need a few more of those friendly employees and a bigger pharmacy space to serve all the customers.

Horrible customer service , stated with when I asked if it was okay or she was ready for me she became snippy. (The signs says wait to be called up) then she refuses to look up my insurance. And there was no line so no “Time crunch” then refused to let me do target circle …. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. Ended up paying out of pocket because I was so done dealing with her

I use to love going to CVS, Adam was a joy but now that he and Taylor left there are maybe three employees that I don't cringe at. I have been berated by the small Hitler like man with the Napoleon complex who seems to have taken over. Now to add insult to injury he refused to fill my kitty, Tinkles, medication because he doesn't want to. I will miss Jen, Hannah and the other little dark haired girl who recently started there but will not miss the feeling I get when I am waiting on the bench for a prescription and am told I should go wait at McDonald's or else where until it is filled

Pharmacist Claire PhD. (60 y/o male) had the decency to tell a client and previous CVS/Pharmacy employee that he didn't had the time to help him out printing a patient profile and then leaving me with the word on my mouth. On top of all the childish attitude and leaving me unattended he left my patient profile screen print with all my HIPAA info on the counter instead of dispose it in a blue cintas.

I switched to CVS from Walgreens because my prescription was cheaper there through goodrx. I’d been using cvs for maybe 6 months. The app would say my prescription was ready and I’d get there and always have to wait 15mins to an hour for them to actually fill it. I didn’t mind much because it’s inside target so I’d wander around. Well the last time I tried to fill my prescription about a month ago, the very sweet cashier that’s always up front was having issues getting my goodrx coupon to work so she called the pharmacist over. He’s an older man with glasses. I never liked dealing with him because he’s over the top, fake nice and I watched him let his buddies budge in line multiple times. Anyway...he couldn’t get my coupon to work either. He insisted it was because I had the wrong location on the site because it was showing results for pharmacies we don’t have in our area(it looked the way it always looks), so I made sure it had the correct location and asked him to try again. He sighed, rolled his eyes, and took my phone to try again. It still didn’t work. I was trying to figure out what was wrong with it because I can’t afford to pay over $100 for my meds. He kept asking me for the total, “so that’ll be $110.68 please.” I tweaked one more thing on the app and he said something like, “it’s not going to be any different” even though it generated different numbers to enter in. So I said “well, I’m sorry, I’m not trying to be rude but I’m just not going to be coming back here again then. I always seem to have issues and some of you are pretty snotty.” And he handed me my phone, smiled and said, “maybe Walgreens can help you.” And WINKED at me. What a jerk. So I went back to Walgreens. It took some time but guess what...THEY GOT IT TO WORK AND THEY WERE SUPER NICE! Sorry to be a Karen but his rudeness was unacceptable in my book. You should be more willing to help and knowledgeable about things that apply to your job.

My preferred pharmacy of the LaCrosse/Onalaska region! I have always had great service here; the pharmacists are respectful, knowledgeable, and helpful. Fulfill prescriptions quickly and I do like their design of pill bottles(sorta flattened), makes it easier to read and hold to open. You also pick a color ring for the top to help keep your families meds organized.

CVS is a good place to pick up reasonably priced prescriptions as well as any other pharmaceutical supplies. The staff here are extremely polite and helpful. Located in Target, they are easy to find.

Food service area is very very unclean. Dirty floors dirty counters dirty tables. Had to use cart sanitizers. To clean off my own table top to sit and enjoy a lukewarm crapy cup of coffee. All the flys. Seem to be enjoying the dirty area. That could be cleaned if people of Target gave a RIP.
