All kittens are adorable right? Well, we were looking for the right personality and CRHS came through for us. They were professional, considerate, respectful, I would highly recommend them. Why the right personality? We have a 5 year old rescue puppy. (He will always be a puppy in our hearts.) He is loving, cuddly at times, playful, intelligent, high energy and can be quite intense. He is probably a border collie and Australian shepherd mix. We decided that adopting a kitten would be ideal for us but we needed the right one.I poured over the descriptions of the kittens but none sounded like a good match until I found Miss Maisy. (Her new name) She was the only one who was described as would like a playful dog. Having the detailed descriptions made all the difference and gave us the confidence that we found our new fur baby. We didn't need the meet and greet. We found her.The last 10 days have flown by and she has brought so much joy. We feel incredibly blessed with our newest family member. We planned to follow the instructions on how to introduce her to Koda and our home but she had other ideas. We set up the guest bedroom for her safe room and she was only content there for 2 days. On the third day Koda my constant companion, had to leave my home office and Maisy crawled all over me and explored while I worked. That evening and the next I sat on the floor in the hall with her door open all evening. She would scamper out to me and see Koda. Pretty soon they were sniffing each other and within 2 days she was exploring her new home. She is actually quite snuggly when she doesn't have new territory to explore or some other intriguing thing to focus on.Thank you Coulee Region Human Society for bringing us together. She is such a joy!

They were holding my dog while I was looking for her. Thank goodness for my microchip. She did very well and everyone at the shelter loved her and had to pet her on the way out. I'm glad my baby was treated well.

In October 2022 my family adopted Einstein as a kitten after we put down our 15 year old cat to be a companion for our other senior. In January we had to unexpectedly put down our senior due to mouth cancer. That left Einstein alone, we wanted him to have a companion. In February 2023 we adopted (Piglet) now Marlin. They were both wonderfully socialized kittens. I'm grateful for the fosters that socialize the kittens and cats to make them great additions to our families. After just 2 weeks Einstein and Merlin are BFFs. Not to mention how they stole our hearts. My kids are so happy with their kittens that they got to pick out.

I have adopted both my cats from CRHS in the last few years. Each time I was sent home with some of my fur babies favorite things to help make their transition home a little more comfortable. My female kitten was spayed with the cost of adoption covering all spaying fees and her rabies vaccine .. we were even sent home with a durable cone for recovery. The staff and volunteers truly have the animals best interests in mind. If you are looking to add a four legged friend to your family, I highly suggest going through coulee region humane society.

The Coulee Region Humane Society staff were wonderful to work with. Our application was processed quickly and we made a plan to meet Teller (now Tuba Beethoven) as soon as possible. Staff went out of their way to arrange a time that worked with both our schedules. When we met our sweet pup for the first time, he truly was excited to see us. Staff helped us introduce our other dogs to Tuba as well. We were given a thorough health history and got to take a photo with the new “Off to my new forever home” sign. Staff followed up with an email to check in and see how Tuba was adjusting. We have enjoyed sharing photos with staff of how Tuba’s first weeks have been going.Thank you Coulee Region Humane Society Staff for allowing us to be Tuba’s forever family and for being wonderful to work with!

I have to say, you all are incredible & I love what you do. I would've loved any kitty but my Orion is THE BEST. We've been playing games together (mainly him just pawing at my tablet, & snuggles if it's not actual toys; have the best being shipped tomorrow now, knowing what he likes) Thank you haha...I look forward to when he & Luna can be close. <3

I have nothing but amazing things to say about my interaction here. The staff here genuinely cares about who their adopted animals are going to, they are extremely thorough on expectations, and literally will do anything to set you up for success. You literally couldn't ask for more out of an organization.I just wanted to take a second to praise and celebrate everyone who takes their time to make Coulee Region Humane Society the beautiful place it is. Thank you for bringing our new family member into our livesBest wishes,Bikini's Dad

I adopted a pet that I was told was dog selective. I understood that going in, being a prior multiple pit owner this is understood since most pit owners don't socialize them. Then I found this facilities facebook page and noticed they list her as absolutely NO dogs...Issue 1: I was told it was $150 on the phone. At time of adoption I was told $300. My paperwork was clearly sitting in eye view and said $150. After pointing out I was told it was $150 I was charged $150.Issue 2: the short meet & greet with Cora and our dog went well enough to decide too give the adoption a test run.Issue 3: During the 2 minute sign here, initial all these spots. I didn't even think about this but....if they give and offer 6 weeks free professional classes offered for "reactivity" why haven't they given Cora this class on there own?Issue 4: No where in Cora's profile did it state:-She food guards...-She toy guards...-She even crate guards... --- in home our dog couldn't even walk near the crate while she's in it. Snarled, shows teeth, growls, barks, side eyes, snaps at air, lunges.-Shes biten multiple (not 1) young children according to the documents. Photo attached of document.***Apparently this facility does not test these things. They're not important things for them to test or disclose up front.***Issue 5: this baby lost weight in the care of CRHS... She's probably hangry. I clearly just thought, She'll put that back on at my home and dismissed it.Issue 6: only discovered today a week after this review originally posted but this CRHS has a facebook post about Cora that says absolutely NO dogs. This bit of information should have been discussed during the initial phone conversation. Period.*1 Star review because*-The above undisclosed information.-They will not refund (contract) and/or would not pick up Cora and consider my money a donation covering Cora's adoption fees. I gave them both options.-Cora's white ear was disgusting. See photo****"My precaution: Please do not have kids period or any kind of pet in your home. No cats, no dog(s), nothing that you love.*****Period.

Waste of an organization!!! Lost pets are in my eyes used as pawns! They get them microchipped and other vet bills piled up then bill the owner once they find their lost pet! My cat was stolen from me!! I found him here!! Then was told I needed to pay 320$ to get himBack! This place is a scam!! Protect your pets from this place!

My boyfriends Older sister adopted a cat from you guys and he was gifted to me. This was in January 2020 and visitation wasn’t allowed so we were hesitant to just chose from a picture. My baby boy will be 2 in December and I truly consider him my best friend. The staff were wonderful and so helpful through the adoption process. Down the road i will definitely be back again. Thank you

Today is the 2nd time I've adopted from Coulee Region Humane Society! The experience has never been better. They care about the animals they have in and ensure they are going to a great home. I just wish I had a farm so I could adopt all the animals! The staff is wonderful!

The staff took great care of me, and I'm so happy with the lovely kitty they cared for and sent home with me. His health was worse than they indicated when I adopted him though and he right away needed medicine for his eyes and gut, for example. I left with the impression that his poos had been soft for a few days, but it was really the whole 2.5 months that he'd been the. That was a little frustrating, but ultimately I'm over the moon about this kitty and so grateful to them for providing care and shelter for him when he was on the street.

Great experience adopting our cat. We found a stray outside our home. I called the humane society to see what our options were. They were extremely helpful. We brought him into the humane society. Coulee region humane society made sure he was not someone’s missing kitty, got him all of his medical care, and had him all set for us to adopt him. They were very helpful with the application process. Now Sammie is a happy member of our family!

It's been about two weeks since I brought my kitty, String Bean (now Armani) home from Coulee Region. The adoption process was smooth, streamlined, and quick. You can clearly see the staff is passionate about what they do. They went through his health history with me very thoroughly which gave me a peace of mind. I would most definitely come back in the future when I choose to take in another furry friend!

I volunteer with the dogs and absolutely love it! Staff are very welcoming and take great care of the animals. The volunteer coordinator, Erin, is wonderful! I’ve also brought my reactive dog in for training consultations with Ava, which was super helpful! Being a volunteer there brings so much joy to my life.

We adopted a 9 month old dachshund mix - he is an angel. The application process was straightforward. The meet and greet went well and we were able to take Murphy home the same day. To finalize the adoption, a staff member went through all Murphy’s vet records, his background info, and discussed the stages of how an adopted dog settles in. This was very thorough and informative. Anyway, Murphy is perfect and we thank Coulee for saving a pet for us to love.

I adopted my cat Tinkerbell from the Coulee Region Human Society approximately 7 years ago. She has been an amazing pet and I am so happy to have her. From what I remember, the staff was incredibly friendly and really let me look at every cat without any pressure to pick one. We had an interview and I knew she was the one. Adoption process took about a day and was pretty much pain free. If I ever wanted another pet, I would certainly look here!

This was the second time we adopted a pet with Coulee region humane society. The staff was knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. We were adopting Guinea pigs and the process was smooth. Only thing they ought to change is letting adoptive families come into their building to pick up their new pet. Last two adoptions we had to do it out doors in a “drive thru” fashion. I’d like to see people able to come into the building again.

Excellent experience, the young lady we met and worked with was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us super service. Couldn't ask anyone to do any more than she did. Didn't catch her name, but she help us out with a cat named Venice. She is definitely an amazing individual and an asset to the Humane Society. Thanks for making our day so pleasant 😊

I fostered a cat for about 3 weeks & then she became eligible for adoption. I had become very attached to her and adopted her. We are doing good together. It was a little confusing at first because of their short staffing but everyone worked together to get me the information I needed to take care of Sarah.
