Dr Holder, Amber, and the rest of the staff went out of their ways to help us when our dog became suddenly ill. Unfortunately we've been through this before with our dog that loves to eat everything especially soft items that won't show up on xray. The last experience was in southern Wisconsin and it felt like at every turn we were having cash squeezed out of us and made to feel guilty when questioning whether to do the next test. Dr Holder and his staff were the complete opposite of that experience, he was able help us come up with a logical treatment algorithm that balanced caring for our sick dog while also being fiscally conscious. We can't thank you guys enough for going out of your way to accommodate and take care of our Walter.

The staff and Dr here are great. It is so hard to find a vet with so many clinics in our area closing. My furbaby broke 2 toes and needed to be re seen, and they took us in. Very caring, kind, and helpful. I would recommend this Dr and his crew to anyone looking for pet healthcare.

Dr. Holder and staff went above and beyond to take great care of my cat that needed emergency surgery. This after our regular vet refused to see him due to not being seen in 2 years. And four other clinics not being able to fit him in over a week. The state of vet care may be in shambles elsewhere, but Oconto is lucky to have such skilled and caring staff available.

Worst experience I have ever had at a veterinary office in my 61 years on this earth! Today was actually a third visit and in reality the first visit had me questioning the temperment and personality of Chris Holder the vet. On my third visit, it was a re-check for one of my new kittens plus a well-check/vax/tests for another kitten from the same litter. The dr. (I use that term losely) was once again in a very sour mood, very rude and demeaning. When he put a deworm pill in the mouth of my 4 1/2 mo kitten he went in search for something and handed kitten off to staff who didn't have control of the kitten and when it launched away, franticly to the floor which he spot out the pill. No one was hurt, and I simply said, oh.. he didn't like that... the vet turned with his (hate cats) scowl on his face, rolled his eyes and also did not take control like a professional and told me I need to leave the room giving a lame ridiculous excuse of (its for my safety) which made zero sense considering I made no attempt to catch or intrude. Unacceptable to tell me to leave my kittens in the room with two people who clearly don't know how to handle a kitten and clearly the vet was very angry with the kitten. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE CATS!!!!

Woke up with my dog not acting his normal self. It was actually quite scary. Called his regular vet and could not get in and decided to try a few other places. Oconto Vet was the only ones willing to let me bring my boy in. The care they gave him made him better and he's not quite back to normal yet but he's on his way. The doctor was very compassionate and almost as good as the dog whisperer with my nippy little guy. Very thankful that Oconto veterinary has a big heart and if times weren't so tough I would say try to get your animal in there, but as every pet owner knows most vets are booked up right now. Thank from the bottom of my heart for the great care Oconto❤️

Am a past customer because I moved out of the area, but as I was reviewing my new vet, I felt like I should also let people know how much I miss my old one. My labs have always gotten excellent care here, and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. When it was time for us to move, they made sure that they were ready to go and that they had everything they needed for traveling across country and the new vet. Thanks to everyone there, Butters and Po miss you!

Great friendly people! Had an unexpected visit due to my German Shepherd getting into the garbage and she ate the absorbent pack from under the chicken we had for dinner last night. Dr Holder gave her a shot and she threw it up! Thank God because it was big enough to really scare me when he showed me! Thank you!!!
