I have been taking my two little dogs to Katrina for two years now. She is so amazing with them. I take them monthly and everytime my little guys are so excited to see her. One of my little guys had a small skin issue and she is very knowledgeable with the care of dogs and helped me take care of his issue. And my other little girl is very standoffish towards some people but not Katrina my little girl jumps right into her arms. I would very highly recommend Katrina to anyone. And I have told many people to go see her and they have all been very pleased with their services. Thank you so much Katrina for helping me with the care of my little guys and for being a great person.

I have been taking my dogs to Katrina for 17 or 18 years now. I can’t recommend anyone more highly. She truly loves each and every animal that comes through her door, and she loved my Springer, and then my two cockers like they were her own, and they were always cut to perfection . I’ve had opportunity to see her with her own puppies ( Japanese Spitz). And these are the most socialized gentle puppies anyone could ever own...all because of the great start they get in her loving home. Thanks to Katrina, I am now the proud owner of a Japanese Spitz, and when I travel, I would never think of boarding her with anyone else!

The best groomer we have ever had. We have taken two dogs to Katrina and also have followed her when she moved locations from 3 miles from our house to 12 miles away. She has always done a great job and has always treated our dogs well. Highly recommend for a professional grooming for a great value. 15 years using Katrina and she is the best.

We took our two teddy bear dogs to Katrina for the first time last weekend. We know other people that take their dog to her so we thought we would give it a shot. We told her to groom them like teddy bears. All she did was shave them, much shorter than she should have. She cut our old dog in the neck with the razor and our little dog twice. Once on her belly and once on the pad of her paw. Katrina didn’t even tell us that they got cut. Not acceptable. The haircuts uneven and many spots missed. We will not be going back.

I have to say, I'm completely impressed by the setup of her shop. It's an open concept salon where not only the owner can view the entire services but people walking by. Also, the quality of the products she uses and the time and care she gives to her clients and their owners. Which leads me to my next point. My one dog, a lab is very easy to care for. My second unfortunately, is a lab with tricky traits that range from being skiddish, having anxiety and can be unfriendly to social outings. Katrina gave her a try and didn't have to; even when I expressed my dog's issues. My problem child was treated with the utmost care, concerned for her comfort level and gained my dog's trust. Katrina had no issues with me staying to watch, just in case. I was so impressed and grateful. We will definitely be a long term client and recommend her service to others. "AMPUTATION ?" - That was one of the treatment options for our dog following his last appointment with Katrina.I dropped him off to be groomed on a Friday morning. When I returned to pick him up around noon, I knew immediately something was wrong upon seeing him. Instead of his usual happy animated response to seeing me, he remained seated on the floor without moving.Katrina said he may have a sore butt from falling off the grooming table, but assured me nothing was broken. In reality after getting him to the Animal Hospital, my vet informed me that he had a Broken Femur at the top of his leg, in the worst place possible. At this point the treatment options were Amputation, Orthopedic Surgery ($5000+) or, as a long shot, a series of ongoing office visits, casts, heavy sedation to keep him immobilized to prevent further harm.We chose the third option and were very fortunate. This culminated with visiting our vet 2 to 3 times per week for more than 3 months. Upon medical clearance, we were able to slowly start walking him outside allowing him to regain his mobility.This unfortunate experience made me realize just how great our Animal Hospital and their staff were. We have also found another groomer with a large experienced staff that came highly recommended by multiple sources. One final note, in order to post this review I had to give this business a minimum 1 star rating, otherwise this would have been a zero or negative star rating.

Katrina grooms all three of my dogs.A Beautiful Caviler that would be at her shop daily if I could . My Boston for nail grinding and glands. And my VERY difficult shaggy Jack Russel. She keeps my pack together so they feel secure . Katrina remembers I have asthma so no doggy perfume.Katrina also schedules so they can come home in less time. When I am sick she even delivers.Can’t beat the ties and bows!My dogs love her. Over 5 years.

We were so happy to have found Katrina a few years ago. Our dog is aging, has arthritis, and has never completely healed from an ACL surgery. Needless to say, he can be challenging to groom. We went to a number of groomers in the Lake Country area and he always came home with nicks and was often very skittish for a few hours afterwards. All of that was pre-Katrina. Katrina has a way with our elderly pup that no one else has come close to. He is comfortable with her but more importantly she knows how to handle his achy body with care. AND.... he always looks so handsome when we pick him up. Katrina is so friendly, processional, caring & philanthropic. We are so proud to call her our groomer.

I have been using Katrina for almost 15 years now she is the best. When I needed her to cut our German Shepard nails and couldn't get him to her shop she came to our house and didn't even charge extra. Always gets my Peanut in when needed even if I call at the last minute. Her prices are fair and treats my Peanut like her own.

We have used Katrina for years to groom our Havanese. She is attentive and great with her handling of him. She is in a great location and has an open shop where you are able to see the full operation and the work being performed.I enjoy seeing her each time I drop and pick up our dog and her prices are very fair.

Katrina is the ONLY groomer I have ever gone to that treats my babies like they're her own. She is so gentle with both my girls and is so patient with them even when they aren't always cooperating (which is most of the time). My one girl is deaf and has very sensitive ears. Most groomers aren't even able to touch her ears, but Katrina gives her a perfect cut and is always so careful to never startle her or make her uncomfortable. My other baby is extremely afraid of any loud noises, but due to her shepherd coat needs to be blown out quite often. Katrina makes Mikah feel completely calm and gets her used to the blower on Mikah's terms. Mikah also has a huge phobia of getting her nails clipped. She was once even pinned down and muzzled at another groomer (PetsMart) and they still didn't get her nails clipped and it pissed me off to no end that they did that to my poor baby. Katrina was so quick and comforting that Mikah didn't even know it was going on before all of her nails were completely done! I was in total shock!! In that moment I knew we were dealing with a real professional here. We have never felt rushed or like our babies are just another paycheck to her. They're like they're her own kids and we can't express how appreciative we are of her and how she handles our complicated babies. I've never found a groomer I trust until we met Katrina. Now we will never, ever go anywhere else!

I would never wish for someone to take their pet to Grooming By Katrina. Our dog Winston had needed a trim as his mattes began to form no matter how much attention we gave him with a comb. It had started off pleasant when we were able to bring him in the day we called and dropped him off with ease. All seemed well until we arrived home where we realized one of his nails had been cut too short and was bleeding. We were fortunate enough for the bleeding to stop eventually. As the day went forward we realized Winston had not been acting his usual self. Instead of following us around or playing with his toys he was hiding under beds and in the TV shelf. It didn't seem he was doing this out of embarrassment of his haircut as we never had a problem like this before. This leads us to believe ha may have been the victim of mishandling or even abuse. The same day we also realized a wound on his well, sensitive area that only seemed to be getting worse. He didn't have this when we brought him to Katrina's and all we can do is hope it heals without problem.I do not recommend this groomer nor will we ever be returning.

Katrina is a wonderful groomer! Just moved here from Ohio and we took our two English Springer Spaniels to her. The dogs look great!! Tomorrow I'm taking our Yorkie to Katrina for the first time. Very pleased that we found such an awesome groomer!

We have been taking our Scottish Terrier, McGuyver, to Katrina for 9 years. He always looks so handsome when we pick him up. Scottie's have a specialized cut, and Katrina does an awesome job. We often get many compliments on his cut when we are out and about. McGuyver is always excited to see her and loves making her one of his playmates when he is in her salon. We also use her boarding service when we can not take him with us. It is nice to know that we have someone to take care of him that loves him as much as we do. Thank you Katrina ...

I have been looking for a quality groomer for a long time...I AM SOOO THANKFUL FOR KATRINA! She did an amazing job on my dogs and when I arrived to pick them up, they were so happy it was like I had dropped them off for a party. I admit that I can be pretty picky about my babies and it was so refreshing to see that she understood this and more than met my expectations. Their coats were perfection,all of their undercoat was pleasantly gone, they smelled delicious, and and even my little one who can be difficult about her nails, had perfectly trimmed nails and pads and looked amazing overall. Her prices were more than reasonable, she was prompt and they were done in a timely fashion. What a blessing to have finally found a groomer that does a stellar job with them in beauty, health and most importantly happiness. Finally a groomer I can trust!

Our Airedale was in desperate need of a grooming. This is a new location for us and our previous groomer was far away. We saw that this groomer recently set up a store front in the strip of buildings and thought we would give her a try. Nothing seemed out of order when we dropped our dog off, but upon pick up the place stunk like a dirty kennel. OK....so dirty dogs in, there has to be some smell. The haircut for our Airedale was not perfect, but ok, it will grow back and it was better than her looking like a teddy bear. She didn't smell wonderful like the other groomer, just like a dog...but ok....we can make her smell better. On the way home her foot started to bleed in the car. Got her in the house and it continued to bleed. We took her to the vet and he packed off her toenail until the bleeding stopped. We took her home and it started again, but this time it looked like it would not stop. Back to the vet where he medicated it and packed it off and wrapped it. Now two days later we can finally take off the wrap so that she can use her foot again.When I called to complain, Katrina stated she wasn't bleeding when she left here. OK....true, but if the nail was cut that close to the quick that any pressure would burst the blood vessel, then she IS at fault. After threatening to stop the charge for her unprofessional job, she yelled for 15 seconds and then agreed to give us our money back, but not the $65 vet bills.Don't take your dogs here if you care about them. She has no idea what she's doing and has no problem denying anything is her fault.

I have been at Katrinas shop for the last 8 years and I couldn´t be more happy. My dogs love to be there and they love her. I have looked at her when she grooms cats and dogs who are coming in to the shop in terrible condition and they are always well treated and looks very good when they leave the shop. I would tell anybody to go to her salon because of the way she works with the animals

Worst grooming experience ever! I have a miniature poodle and he is a complete sweetheart when is comes to grooming, and I don’t know what she did but he can’t even stand to be in the parking lot of her place. She insulted him in front of me, which is sooooooo *exaggerated eye roll* professional. I get that his hair was long and that there were some burrs in it but please I wash, brushed and blow dried his hair before leaving my house to the groomers so that there wouldn’t be mats, I couldn’t get all the burrs our but I did my best. I have taken him to other groomers before in some pretty bad states and they know exactly what to do and how to get him looking his best.She didn’t even listen to what I wanted for my dog! I asked for his hair to be an inch and what I got was down to the skin! Do you know how many problems that will cause for him! Dogs get sunburnt too, or did you not know that! No way is this a professional cut! It is patchy uneven there are nicks in him and as I’m typing this he is licking his wounds that were caused by you! The hair in between his paws is not cut; speaking of his paws the nails weren’t cut either! Any professional groomer would know how to cut nails and how to get the hair in between the paws. This groomers is NOT worth the money! I shouldn’t have even paid for the haircut! Oh and one more thing what kind of groomers leaves the dogs locked up and without water! I got home and my dog drank two bowls full of water! WORST GROOMERS EVER! I’m never going back there again! And I suggest no one go there either unless you want your dog physically and mentally harmed

I wouldn't wish anyone to bring their pet here. They cut my dog in three different spots and didn't say a word, shaved him bald when he was supposed to get a teddy bear cut, he hasn't stopped itching, and he has been super skiddish and scared since I picked him up. Leading me to assume they must have been mean to him. He's been to groomers his whole life and has never acted like he is now. If I could give zero stars I would.

I usually don't write reviews but took my puppy (golden doodle)here for his first haircut and I'm a little ticked. Overall, the haircut isn't horribly bad (although there are spots that look like they weren't even trimmed) but we just wanted a trim and afterwards we were left with our pup having between his eyes completely shaven down to the skin and a "poodle look" which was our biggest fear. The look of our cute puppy is now completely different and not for the better. I am so disheartened for our first experience. Luckily hair does grow back. I was also told very clearly over the phone the first visit would be $30 and every other visit after that would be $45. We ended up being charged $45 and were told "there was probably a misunderstanding because of the accent"....I don't think so. I'm not writing this to deter business at all, as I know things could be worse but definitely completely disappointed with this first experience.After your response to this post I definitely will not be bringing him back. I called you TWICE and also had written down $30. I appreciate you're all about the learning experience but maybe explain that to us he might look choppy. Or if you knew it wasn't "the best job" maybe don't charge as much as you did or offer for us to help hold him or something so he could be cut decently and not look like a weed whacker got to him. You might also want to ask permission of the owner to shave ANY part of their dog before you do it, that's what made me upset. I understand puppies can be difficult but you're the professional and knew it was our first time. A little communication and guidance would have been nice.

I can tell you who not to go to ! The groomer next to Piggly Wiggly in Oconomowoc off Brown street across from St.Vincent. After getting my nails done on Saturday I went over to book and appointment only to have the owner/lady scream at me at the top of her lungs with anger because she had let a dog out! Not even one foot in and she blasted me, I looked at he and said”you just lost my service.” If this lady treats her customers like this I can’t imagine how she treats our animals.
