I was very happy with the new vet, Dr Geitner taking Dr Raabes place. We loved him!! We will love her too. We’ve been at Prairie Animal Hospital for over 45 years with all our dogs. We were always happy as we were able to have our thoughts and opinions taken seriously for the service of our dogs. We are in our 80s and we have adopted Missy at her late age and problems. She is a sweet prize and deserves the best. It’s extremely important that her health be taken seriously. I am extremely worried about her dental procedures on May 9 th. 2024. She is 7 lbs and putting an older dog who is so little under, is scary. We will give her the best you offer so she will recover with great success. Please keep her safe as we just lost a 16 year old Maltese and want her to return to us with her dental problems taken care of. We love her so much. Thank youJoan Stone … for our Missy.

Our recent visit at Prairie Animal Hospital was a pleasant experience. Dr. Svang , was caring and extremely efficient doing our dog's exam and quite quick and careful with our poor dog who was in desperate need of a nail trim! (Our dog was not very appreciative - sorry Doc!)The entire staff was also wonderful to work with. We highly recommend!!!

Our old lab had 4 days of liquid diarrhea after a stay at a local boarding facility and 24 hours after being seen is doing 1000 times better. Dr Svang and her staff is so caring and great. they never over evaluate with extra procedures you don’t need. I can always count on them to take care of my animals and only do what’s necessary.

My family has used Prairie Animal Hospital since I was younger, so it was a no brainer to bring my dog there once I got one of my own. All of the vets, techs and front staff are fantastic. I always feel welcome and I know my pet is being taken care of. I now drive 45 minutes to go to here because of the level of care my dog recieves.

Amazing experience! They were so good with my dog, pricing was the best I've seen, scheduling was easy. Staff was super attentive, friendly, & went the extra mile. Vet also spent a ton of time with us too!

My poor dog tore his claw, and needed to get in pretty quickly. I was able to get in right away and they got my little guy fixed up right away. My pet is always treated like family, and that is what is most important to me. Thank you Prairie Animal Hospital!

Great service and very friendly staff. I dropped my cat off in the morning. Judging by the amount of fur she combed out of my cat, the groomer must have spent a great deal of time with her. She also had her exam and rabies shot. The hospital called me when she was all done and I went and picked her up.

we arrived for an appointment that I scheduled in March. for what ever reason there was no appointment. the laddie behind the counter was extremely nice and worked to see if they could fit us in. I was very pleased when she informed me Brandi would be seen. everyone who came in, were friendly and attentive to Brandi's well being. THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!

We transferred vets and brought our two cats in for vaccinations and new patient exams. It was an amazing experience. The staff is so friendly and caring. We are so happy we made this decision , we now know our pets are in good hands. Both cats handled it very well, that our older one usually has to go in back to get shots and not this time she stayed in the room with us.. Thank you so much.

HORRIBLE. If you would like to take your pet to an incompetent vet, take them here. Also, they may not be able to get you in because they are "too busy", when it is their fault that your pet needs to return. Surgery site opened up due to incompetent stitching, will not fix their mistake. Will not be returning and will not recommend. ZERO STARS.UPDATE:It has been three weeks since I have heard from this facility, where they reported that the were coming up with resolutions for what had happened to our dog. No response to my follow up emails and no attempt to come up with possible solutions. I would not recommend as they do not take pride in their work and do not want to make any corrections for their mistakes.**A review was also put on their website, but it appears that they delete anything under a 3 star review.

2024 update, I have now been bringing my dogs to Prairie Animal Hospital seeing Dr Svang since 2016. She takes such great care of our three dogs, she spends extra time with follow-up to make sure I understand everything. I so highly recommend her and Prairie Animal hospital. 2016-I just started using Prairie Animal Hospital with my boy Louie. I am very impressed with the facility and all the people I have met so far. I will continue with them and and also bring in my other two Chihuahuas when needed. Thank you!

All of the staff here is amazing. Dr. Raabe was recommended to me by my grandmother, and he took care of all of her dogs. All of the vets here are gentle and compassionate. Dr. Raabe's care made my dog feel so comfortable at the vet. Dr. Svaang was with my family and I when we had to say goodbye to our oldest dog, and she comforted us the entire time. Dr. Muur is wonderful with my dog who typically has a lot of anxiety at the vet, but she is very kind and compassionate. I love Prairie Animal Hospital and recommend this place highly to my friends and family. I am very grateful for all of the vets and the vet techs who've helped us along the way. The front desk staff is also incredibly welcoming and helpful.We've also always been accommodated in the few times we've needed an emergency visit. I am very grateful for that because I truly wouldn't want anyone else taking care of my dog. Thank you to all of the amazing staff at Prairie Animal Hospital!

We have taken our dog there multiple times. The older male veterinarian was SO nice! We had taken my dog in thinking she had kennel cough and he was SO helpful and had recommendations for how to help her and was so sweet and gentle with her. However, the female veterinarian is rude, very pushy with what she thinks you should feed your dog, doesn't seem to enjoy being around dogs at all, never smiles, and would lecture us every time we come in. She rudely told us how we should be working harder on training her. I'm a dog trainer. My dog is very well behaved outside of jumping when very excited, but she was also only 3 months old the first time, and six months old the second. I will probably be finding another vet purely because of her and her rude behavior.

They worked to accommodate my mutt on short notice(same day), diagnosed, explained well to me what was going on, and offered a remedy so efficiently! The way everything went gave me peace of mind that they cared and were being thorough.Our dog, Charlie, had never been to this vet…just some rando dog with a limpy tail and they treated him like an old friend.Amazing first impression, so I’ll be switching our pets care to the Prairie Animal Hospital!

The Staff and doctors of Prairie Animal Hospital have been wonderful to all the dogs we've had. There is never a long wait in the waiting room and they treat you like family.
