My husband and I stopped by on our road trip to pick up a truck. The menu was full of options! Maybe if I picked something else, it would have been better. The food was kind of bland, and everything was separate prices. So the drink (purchase each can separately), the side was a separate price from the sandwich.. Honestly, the price of the food wasn't bad, though.I ordered the steak sandwich (which came plain, so I added cheese, sautéed onions, and sautéed mushrooms). It didn't taste like the meat was seasoned, and it was very chewy. The bun was too big for the meat. However, the bun was soft delicious.I ordered fried mushrooms. They were luke warm on the outside, and the mushrooms were cold on the inside.I ordered onion rings. They were doughy on the inside.My husband ordered a beer gut burger. He said that the sausage patty overpowered the taste of the burger, but it was ok.He ordered the loaded mashed potatoes. He said they needed salt and pepper but were delicious.And he ordered the curly fries. Other than getting the tiny pieces at the bottom of the bag, they were delicious!This place looks like it is probably a pretty fun place to go to on a weekend or during an event like karaoke night. I would definitely go back to try out some of their other dishes, like Blue Gill on Fish Friday or .50 wing night on Thursday nights. Just keep in mind those items are on specific nights ONLY!They also sell farm fresh chicken and duck eggs as well as local raw honey! (I bought a quart of that..love me some honey!)The parking is a little tricky here.. I couldn't quite figure out where I was supposed to park.. But it looks like there are 3 areas. One of those areas does pull through. So as long as cars aren't parked there an RV or semi could pull in and park.

Hands down, BEST burger in Wisconsin! Pizza was DELICIOUS! Service on a busy Sunday afternoon watching the Blues Deciples: PERFECT!Double the the five stars to a solid TEN! I co-owned a small restaurant many years ago. I've traveled and sampled some of the best bar food throughout 46 of the lower 48 states. This. Is. Number. One!Many thanks to each and all on this day March 5, 2023!

I saw this place on TV. They were hyping the upcoming Outhouse races, so I checked Google, and the food looked good, and the reviews were mostly positive. I was on a cheezborger road trip with a buddy and I mentioned Osman. He instantly mentioned the Smiling Moose so of we went.My burger-brat thing was far bigger than the piece of slate it was served on so it was very messy to eat but it tasted great. Nice efficient bar tender/cook/waitress. I'm going back for the Foot long hot dogs.Wheelchair accessibility: There is none and if you could get in the place you couldn't use the restrooms.

Food was excellent. Service not so much. As soon as we sat down at the bar the bartender just said what do you want. I was taken back by that. I started to say a couple menus then I was about say our drinks but she interrupted me and said drinks kind of rudely. She made our drinks then started waiting on other customers. About 10 minutes later I had asked again for the menus and she just kind of threw them at us. She was rushing around as if the place was packed but it was far from packed. Yes there was a handful of people but nothing to warrant her to rush around like that. Eventually 1 of the girls in the kitchen took our order. She was very friendly. Food came out fast. Like I said in the beginning, food was excellent. Not the bartender. We will be back if there's a different bartender working

We were here with a small group and ate dinner at the bar. There were a few other small groups there at the same time as us and only one bartender. I think she really did a great job getting everyone drinks and making food at the same time. Also, everyone's food looked great. We had the Philly cheese steak, mozzerella sticks and a chilli cheese dog. I loved the large pieces of green pepper and onion on the Philly. For me, the mozzerella sticks were good but the sauce could have used a little extra horseraddish or spice of some sort. Overall, we would stop here again!

The bar server never smiled and seemed cranky, rushed and very mean. Considering the place was empty, you thought she wouldn't be so busy and would be cordial, but no. And the place had 5 TV's going, AND the Public Radio Station was playing! Not one TV had the sound on! Imagine that!

This is classic Wisconsin tavern. The perch sandwiches were good, if a little heavy on the tartar. Fries are also quite good, but be sure to order them on the side, as they don't come with the sandwich. The Capital Amber on tap sported a little funk to the taste, possibly from lines needing a quick clean. On my visit for lunch on a Friday, the bartender was quite difficult, making the experience frustrating. Credit goes to the owner of the establishment, as she recognized this and told me it would be addressed. It sounds like this definitely isn't the norm.

Love the smiling moose! The food is consistently delicious and the staff are both friendly and attentive. Prices are super reasonable. We always have a good time here. Live music is a huge bonus at this ideal entertainment spot. Can’t wait to come back.

Very good food. Came for a Friday night fish fry. I ordered cajun catfish. It was delicious. My wife ordered perch. It was also very good. We both ordered the German potato salad. Better than most restaurants where I have ordered it. Restaurant is a small bar and grill in a small community. Lacks ambiance but makes up for it with good prices and great food.

I love coming here. The bartenders are nice and the food is flavorful and dripping with goodness! You get a burger and say "Now THATS a burger!" And my step father even said their hot dog was the best one he's ever had. Ever since I moved I was looking for a place to eat at near by and this place is it! I've come back several times already.

I orderd the pizza, which came out pale and bottom crust was undercooked. It wasn't even very hot. After waiting as long as we did, I didn't want to say anything, and get stuck there any longer than necessary. My friend had the salmon, which was "perfectly cooked." The service we had, on the other hand, was questionable. We had one bartender, who was older, who wouldn't smile if her life depended on it! I don't care what kind of day you're having, when you deal with the public, SMILE😁! ( I'll bet she'd get better tips that way, too.) The other bartender, quite a bit younger, was energetic, smiling all the time, and it seemed, happy to be there. She did the work for both of them as most of the time, the other one was either gone or busy doing something else.

I was ignored by the bartender. There were two of them working with 7 people in the bar. They said the were busy. The bartender was crabby from the time I walked in until the time I left. We left a few months earlier when we were treated just as badly. I can't tell you how the food was because we never were served.

I am very sorry to say that we will probably not be back for awhile; every time that we stop by, the older woman behind the bar is very unfriendly when taking our order, serving us our food or drinks, when we ask a question about the menu, or if we ask for something additional at our table. Our little granddaughter even went up to the bar to get the jelly that we requested for our toast, she's 8 yo and said thank you but no "your welcome" was uttered in return. This elderly woman just seems hurried and bothered by our presence. We left a 10 percent tip, but unfortunately even that seemed like too much! We noticed that another table asked for salt/pepper; she slammed it down on the table and walked away... those patrons rolled their eyes too. On the other hand, the food was excellent. Next Sunday for breakfast/brunch, we will be going somewhere else!

Excellent food and drinks! Sometimes it takes a little bit to get your food but that's cause they are always so busy but worth the wait. Staff is always kind. The owner is such a wonderful woman that through the bar does a lot for charity and military.

Great place! Never been here before, but definently be will be back. Kinda small but very nice, and a huge menu to choose from.The moose hot dog was wonderful!!Very friendly bartender made this a fun night out!We are planning on doing the fish fry some friday this summer.
