Wow, what great local butcher market!Had heard about this place and all the awards their bacon had won but never stop by until now. My mistake!The bacon was really tasty well worth its reputation! Also tried a handcut ribeye steak and it was really good also. Well marbled, great flavor and very tender.Pricing is competitive with other mom and pop local meat markets and they sell "other" items such as Door County Cherry jelly/jams along with some great spices.If you are in the area or driving by, make it a stop, you won't be disappointed!

Best bacon. Also try the burgundy steaks. Much less salty than others I've had. Worth the drive. ❤Update. Ask about the meat bundles. 🍖 great pricing.

I seriously believe this has to be in the top 10 meat markets in Wisconsin. My family has been coming here for over 55 years. As a child my family would but a hind quarter of beef and Newton Meats would cut it according to our specifications and we would wrap it as it was cut. Now I go and get meats there every time I am in the area. They have the best all beef wieners that I have ever had. They also produce over 25 kinds of bratwurst, as well as many other cuts of meat. Off the beaten path, but definitely a hidden gem!!!

Have been buying from Newton Meats for years. Pork sausage has the best seasoning, ground beef is quite lean, and the bacon is so good-try the black pepper bacon on a BLT! Hams are very tasty and not so salty or watery. Meat patties (beef and pork) are a generous size and fit nicely on a sheboygan hardroll. special cuts are not a problem--just let them know what you are interested in and they will help you out! the meat bundles are a good deal but purchasing whole or a part and having it cut to specifications is the way to go--cut, wrapped, frozen and ready for pick up. Make sure you have freezer room! This is what buying local is all about!

We bought half a cow last year and it was sent here to be processed. Not having gone through this process before we were not sure what to do. The staff walked us through the process and initially were very helpful. After we brought our meat home we realized how badly we had been taken advantage of. We asked for 100lbs of ground beef and were given 200. We were not given any brisket, skirt steak, flank steak, filets or strip steaks. Supposedly they ground it all up into ground beef since we didn’t ask for them. I call BS. This place is a rip off.

Bought frozen beef liver on Monday and made crock pot liver and onions last night. Excellent! First time there, Tom and I were really impressed!

Disappointed. After reading such grand reviews we stopped in recently and purchased some steaks. We prepared with high hopes but found them to be good in flavor but very very tough and grizzly.
