This place is just great. It's been there for years before me, and I hope it's still thriving long after me. Super friendly staff with all the gear and bait you need, they even give out the "secret" spots and tips while most anglers wouldn't. Their passion for everything fishing shines through in their service. It may look like a shack by the river, but that's irrelevant when you're greeted with smiling faces and excellent customer service!

Love this place have such a variety of jigs and ones that you can't find at big box stores or anywhere else for that matter!! They have there own style as well as what you find in stores!! Everyone is also super friendly and willing to chat with you!!

Dude, this is an excellent basic shop. These guys will sell you bait and a few Wolf River Rigs and tell you where to get them wet. You'd do well to listen. Plus, they're right next to a boat launch!

Took my Grandson for fishing 1st time and purchased bait at Johnny's Little Bait shop and also was provided with directions to a good spot to catch bluegills. I started my Grandson with a straight pole without a reel as my 1st experience with my grandfather was with a bamboo pole and my first fish was also a bluegill. I caught many fish with that pole (bluegill, crappie, perch, catfish, bass, and others.) I then moved on to the zebco Shakespeare era never forgetting how my grandfather started my interest and love for the sport of fishing.
