Tuesday Dec 26 my husband and son searched Google for a nearby restaurant as we entered West River Cafe met and exceeded our expectations; food, service, prices, cleanliness, and quiet dining room even with 80% of tables full over lunch time. The owners daughter was friendly and efficient as she waited on our table ; Tuesday happened to be free piece of pie day!

My husband and I come here for breakfast once a week or sometimes more. We love their food and the service! They always make you feel welcomed. Our son, who is very picky, loves it here. He and his girlfriend go here too. The waitresses are always smiling and keeping your coffee full! Scarlet always says Good Morning even when she doesn’t serve us! We highly recommend West River Cafe!

Excellent food and service! Very reasonable prices. 5 adults for breakfast and bill was less than 50 dollars. You won't leave there hungry! This is our go to place! They have the cutest decorations for the holidays too!Wheelchair accessibility: There is Handicap parking and a ramp to get in.

Been here many times and NEVER had a bad meal or service.Friday fish is particularly great. Fish fry starts at 11:00 amAlso notable is the pie selection!! Generally around 10 or more different kinds available.Wheelchair accessibility: New ramp.

Pricier than most places around there. Hidden price surprises and some prices listed were different than the ones charged for on the ticket. Two sausage patties were $4.99. Blueberry syrup was $4.99 for less than 1/4 C ! Nice fresh avocado!The food was good. The eggs tasty. Very good black coffee but not a high buzz coffee. No hyper buzz after 4 cups but felt good!Service was great! $70 w/o tip for 4 full breakfasts.Overall, I will come back!

We get out to Nekoosa a few times a month and I love eating at West River cafe when we are in Nekoosa! The food is amazing and The staff is always so friendly! They have a huge menu with lots of options! I love the turkey club and chicken sandwiches and milkshakes here are the best!!!!! If you are in town be sure to try this restaurant you won’t regret it!Vegetarian options: Green pepper and onion omelettes are the best!Parking: Huge parking lotKid-friendliness: Kid friendly restaurantWheelchair accessibility: The front has a ramp with wheelchair accessibility

My teenage son called this a “hidden gem”. We stopped after a soccer game. The waitress was amazing. Fast and friendly. The food was great! We had so many options and all were so good. Desserts were exceptional. Definitely would stop here again if driving through area.

I really enjoy eating here. The most recent visit was Friday 6/11. I noticed the menu is new. I feel there are too many items offered now. The other menu was great and sometimes if you offer too much then other dishes become not as good. Your burgers are great, don’t get rid of those.

All the food was delicious. I had clam chowder then beer battered cod with a side of rice pilaf.Service was friendly and attentive to clearing dishes and keeping my drink filled.A little more expensive than a fast food lunch, but it was more food, better quality and makes me feel good to support a local business.

The breakfast was so good that we decided to go the next for the fish fry. It was the absolute best beer battered walleye I’ve ever eaten. The place is newly remodeled and very clean. The staff are very friendly, and the owner even goes to the tables to make sure everything is okay. I would give this 10 stars if I could. I highly recommend for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You will not be disappointed. We feel like we found a little slice of heaven!!

I have been here several times for Friday fish. I always had the pan fried cod which was very good. It has a light breaded crust on top down perfect everytime. Last time the owner who is very nice and attentive to his customers recommended the walleye. I had the pan fried this time again with light breaded crust on top. I was glad I did. Very good.

Wow! We went on our way to the casino based on other reviews and they were so right! The walleye fish fry was soooo good! The half pound burger was hand pressed and so good! Not only was food good service was fast and fun. The owner is very personable and makes her place an overall enjoyable experience.

We just went there today 1st time ever and it was amazing fish fry (Walleye) and Steak and Shrimp. We also had the Dumpling Chicken Soup.Everything turned out amazing!We had wonderful service as well.Definitely recommend this place!!!Prices are very reasonable! 😁
